  1. So to preface this: I dont know how the CK handles scripting. Maybe this will work. Set up a script attached to the entrance to the basement door at each home. The script would then trigger all doors in the basement to be "disabled" excepting the door which leads back into the home you just entered from. So for example, you have 3 Doors, Proudspire Manor, Breezehome and Hjierem (sp?). Walk into basement from Breezehome, script triggers and disables basement doors exiting into Proudspire Manor, Hjierem and Enables exit back to Breezehome.
  2. Thanks! I checked it out, very awesome! Now with my "Dremora Lord Thrall" spell from another mod, and my "playable dremora mod" that I'm using I'm packing 4x the dremora. Booyah! Will endorse after the hour is up, thanks again!
  3. Not an arrow but still, teleport: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8535
  4. I think this would be fairly cool, I realize that they probably dont have any voice files for dialogue options but I can probably deal with that just for the cool factor! Either that or they can be assigned a different voice profile, but I would very much love a fully scaleable dremora companion (up to level 81).
  5. I was thinking of this as well, your character is captured trying to cross the border, which assumes he/she is bad at sneaking around, sort of upsetting :P. I like the idea of an alternative start where *you dont have to be caught by the imperials and brought to helgen* but can be if you aren't sneaky enough.
  6. It seems to me that if you had the know-how and the gumption to do it you could actually pull off a very good Codex Alera mod for Skyrim. Ideas include: Remove all magic spells. Remove all magic skills. Remove all magic perks. Replacing them with skills, spells and perks for each branch of Furycraft (Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Wood and Metal). Ditch enchanting and Alchemy entirely, as they aren't needed. Redesign smithing perks and armor to match the armor types found in the Codex Alera series. You would still have Cloth, Light and Heavy armor but not Daedric, no Dragonbone, etc. New meshes and textures for most armor. Then of course, there would be the business of doing the world map and environment to fit (the hugest problem). Finally, add Marat, Canim (use werewolves and add armor and weapon support for them) and Vord creatures.
  7. So, to preface: I have no mod-ing experience and have no idea how simple this would be to do but I wanted to see if my idea was actually clever or not, so thusly, this post. I've seen several posts lamenting the fact that NPC's in the world rarely recognize your accomplishments, and I agree it is sort of a let down. I'd hoped that more people would say "Hey, aren't you the new Archmage?" for example. My Idea: Create a "Hidden Title" that would be checked before any random comment about your character's status is mentioned. If you are the archmage then it will allow for Arch-Magey type responses, etcetera. Couple this with an NPC that you can speak to in order to "set" your title. Maybe have all of the advisors for the various thanes act in this capacity as well as their normal duties. So you would walk up to the advisor, talk to him and there would be an option like, "And what is your official title again?" which would present a list of character achievements. You could select "Dragonborn," "Arch Mage", and "Thane". Going a step further (a much larger step), there could be brand new NPCs which act as the Herald, you could speak to him and do the same, and at the same time whenever you walk towards the throne he would shout out "The Thane of Whiterun, Archmage of the College of Winterhold and Dragonborn approaches the throne," or some such.
  8. Regarding the Dragonform shout, I had some ideas along how it would be acquired and what it would mean. I think it would be hugely appropriate if the dragonform shout consisted of words meaning the opposite of those in the Dragon Rend shout. Essentially the player can learn dragon rend (which is an alien shout to dragons) because he/she is mortal and finites. Those concepts are foreign to a dragon. In the same way, as the Dovahkiin absorbs dragon souls he becomes more and more the dragon himself, less mortal, less finite. So I think that along the way the Dovahkiin would have a less and less useful dragon rend shout as the concepts behind it become more and more alien, and at the same time I think that his/her "base race" should slowly shift into a full on permanent dragon. The end result would be a dragon with a "Humanoid Form" shout to allow you to interact with NPCs (which can be toggled).
  9. Wouldn't the Easiest fix for the Vampire in Skyrim be to reverse the order of the stages while keeping the weakness progression as it is? Stage 1: You are suave debonair vamp, -25 Resist to Fire and +25 to Frost, and Stage 4 Bennies. Stage 2: You are drawn and a bit thirsty, your fangs are beginning to extend without you noticing. -50 Resistance to Fire +50 to Frost, and Stage 3 Bennies. Stage 3: You are now extremely hungry, but it is still barely within your control. Your fangs are constantly down now but you can hide them. -75 Resistance to Fire, +75 Resistance to Cold, stage 2 Bennies. Stage 4: You are now in a state of near starvation, your vampiric powers are weakened and the thread of un-life is tenuous at best. -100 Resistance to Fire, +100 Resistance to Cold, stage 1 Bennies.
  10. So I was thinking that it would be really cool if, of the three robes you can find (I believe there are two on the ship and one on the emperor himself), one was Heavy Armor and one was Light Armor, with decent stats for both. Though my idea is more complicated than this on the whole: Heavy Armor - The Emperor's War Regalia Head: A steel plate helmet with built on crown. Chest: The Emperor's Robe is modified to include some sexy plate over it, and has slits down either side (more like a Tabard) which would reveal the armored leggings. Boots: They would have to be fancy, so I was thinking something along the lines of steel colored boots with gold filigree. Gloves: Steel colored Gauntlets with oversized and gemmed rings on each finger of the model (excepting the finger which a player's equipped ring will show up on). Any ideas on the Light Armor set description wise? And is anybody willing to step up to do this (I dont know anything about nothing....)
