  1. Launched Vortex today and didn't get the pop-up, plus that annoying Preparing Game for Modding notification finally loaded completely and went away. Thank you for trying to help me, I'm really not that tech-savvy so I'm not sure what exactly fixed the problems, but I hope if anyone else has these issues this thread will help them figure it out.
  2. Apologies for the poor quality and the censored bit. This is what pops up when I click Allow Access to the Vortex Access Denied error. The tmp- is always different. I'm not sure if this helps but I don't know what else to do or try.
  3. That worked for solving the Access Denied error, not sure how I imagined to lock myself out like that but it's fixed Edit: I went back to open it later and it's locked again. Not sure what caused it.
  4. I just updated Vortex to 1.10.8 and now I'm having all kinds of problems. When I open Vortex I get a Denied Access error message and have to allow access. I can't run it as administrator, it never opens. I've never had this message before. I'm trying to play SSE which I got from Steam but I'm stuck with a Preparing Game for Modding notification. This loaded correctly a few weeks ago. On top of that, I'm getting an SSE Plugin Loader Error when I try to launch the game. I've never gotten this error before. I have 210 active mods, but the mods I most recently added that I didn't have before this error are listed below. I do not get the Access Denied Error or the Preparing Game for Modding notification when I launch with Fallout 4 active instead. I only have 37 active mods on Fallout 4. Both Skyrim and Fallout 4 are on the same drive as Vortex. The Mods Staging Folder is the Mods folder below, the Downloads Folder is the one below. My computer specs are: Alienware X51 R3 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 16 GB Ram 64-bit operating system NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 Alienware 026CD3 A00 The game was totally fine a few weeks ago the last time I was able to play. It ran smoothly, no hiccups or bugs. Has anyone else had this problem? Are there any known fixes? Can someone help walk me through some troubleshooting? Any assistance is appreciated. If you need more information please let me know, I'm desperate to play again.
  5. I continued to look for troubleshooting and other help forums but no luck. In the end, I got frustrated enough to just purge my entire comp of any fallout4 files. Fresh start. I'll reinstall the game, reinstall NMM, and see if a new beginning helps.
  6. I recently got back into playing Fallout 4 and started everything from scratch. Installed the game, downloaded some mods (I already had NMM installed for other games), got F4SE installed, etc. I changed the .ini files and booted up the game using F4SE. In the character creation menu none of the new hairstyles, eye colors, or face paints/dirt effects would show up. I tried launching without F4SE, still no luck. I've tried many fixes, including completely uninstalling and reinstalling the mods. Still nothing. I think I'm missing something, probably something very obvious, but I am not tech savvy at ALL. Help please? I've added some pictures of my fallout4 folder and the .ini files.
