  1. As it just so happens to be, I am working on a Khajiit armor mod. I plan to include a handful of cloth, light, and heavy armor for the player to pick from and craft. Currently planned are four variants of one Cloth outfits (like mage robes in design) with a second cloth armor of another design, a couple light (leather/fur) outfits, and five metal heavy armors. I plan to expand this as we see more of the Khajiiti culture in ESO. Since we're just seeing the Khajiiti culture for the first time in all its glory, I'd expect about 6 months at the longest before khajiit mods start appearing on Skyrim Nexus. (Time for people to play the game, and get inspired, and time enough for them to craft and test it. Lessened if they have Beta Access, of course) So you'll get your armor mod, don't you worry.
  2. Is the bedroll marker set as open to NPCs only? Or is it set to include the Player? (Owned by others or by Player)
  3. Sorry to bump this, but is there any animation 'expert' out there who might be able to answer me? Or knows where I should go for my answer? Solution Found
  4. Just about anyone could do it. If you extract the texture/model using BSAopt, and Nifscope, you could even do it! I recommend an art program like Photoshop or Gimp (I used gimp), and search the Internet for a nicely detailed patch of wolf fur. Circle Select part of it, make a new layer with about 50% transparency, and start pasting and rotating it across the wolf texture. The original texture gives you the coloration, while the fur patch you are using gives you the detail. Super easy, and you can use the eraser tool with slight transparency to soften the edges of the fur where it changes direction. And suddenly, you have a super high quality wolf texture! :D I'm doing this for an extensive full-body Khajiit re-texture mod. The models help so that you can fix areas of stretch or condensed fur to make it all flow. Also to make sure you have the fur going the right way :P
  5. I'm working on an extensive mod (Let's call it a Campaign Mod), and one of the custom animations I have planned is where a designated NPC can carry another NPC. Both would be able to act independently of each other through normal situations, with only one relying on the other during the carry animation. The player, for example, would be able to pick up an injured person and carry them to safety, or even pick up a cat and put it down out of harm's way. I've seen it done with objects in game, such as firewood, so I know that is possible, but what if the firewood were replaced by an NPC? How would I go about doing this? Such an animation would open questing to Saving lives, realistic farming (searching for the livestock that escaped, and carrying the lamb back to the barn), and even family-oriented life (IE caring for children). Solution Found 2021 Edit, since the Solution was never posted back in 2014. Here it is.
  6. Thank you both very much! I knew a bit about the world spaces before, but Ahtnamas' post has expanded my understanding of it! Albino, that sounds like it will be a very valuable resource, so good luck with that! :D I'll have to look into TES5Edit. I keep coming upon the Oblivion version, so now that I know for certain one exists for Skyrim, it'll be worth grabbing.
  7. Would anyone know of a means to duplicate the entirety of Skyrim? I seek to create a mod focusing on an alternate reality, but do not want to change the current Skyrim landmass, as it would conflict with other mods. Browsing the forums, I found threads seeking to add a new, user made landmass, or modify current cells or make new ones. Alternatively, would there be a way to extract the skyrim landmass (the ground, mountains, and riverbeds themselves, rather than the rocks trees, and buildings? I would be able to duplicate the rocks, trees, etc. over with ease once that is done.
  8. I would imagine you would just copy the stats, crafting, and item files of the original ebony armor, and modify them as needed to make them suit the Silver Ebony Armor. *Crafting Recipe: Duplicate>Rename *Stats: Duplicate>Rename *Item: Duplicate>Rename (There will likely be multiple files you will have to duplicate and rename, but you'll want to make sure you get the one that allows you to pick the model and texture. The model can stay the same, but you'll want to change the texture)
  9. No, no, that's very helpful! Thanks! I'll give it a shot, and report back when I do. :)
  10. So I seek to create a Khajiit texture mod (face and body both) as I find it rediculous that a Khajiit with a tiger-striped head would have a leopard-spotted body. I aim to allow tiger striped bodies for tiger, cougar to cougar, etc. But the Skyrim character creation only allows for a change in head textures, while shading the body texture. I've seen plenty of mods adding in stats to character creation, and even a few new races. But how would one go about adding a body texture bar to the Appearance creation itself? Edit: Searching the Creation Kit, I came across Race creation data, including all Presets (to which I could add), face data, and body. Under body, it provides the option for texture selection, but does not seem to provide a list for character creation options, almost as if the system was designed to use only one body texture. So this is where I need a work-around. But I haven't the foggiest clue how to go about doing that.
