  1. The BEST route would've been to uninstall the NMM installed mods with NMM, then start afresh with an unmodded game with Vortex. That's how I started with Vortex as well. I was using NMM for Skyrim SE, and decided to reinstall Fallout 4, so in order to get the best experimental experience with Vortex, where I wouldn't be risking a load order with hundreds of mods in it, I started with a clean install of Fallout 4. In that process, I slowly ended up learning all about Vortex along the way as well, and I'm glad I did. After that I decided to reinstall Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and see how Vortex did with the older games. It worked quite well, although it had some trouble with some older mods due to there not being a real 'packaging standard" for mods at the time. After that it didn't take much for me to wipe my Skyrim SE installation, remove NMM, and redo my Skyrim SE setup with Vortex so I could have everything under one Mod Manager. Next up, Oblivion (Which is going to take some work, because I will have to use OBMM and extract those mods and repackage them for a Modern Vortex Setup Okay thank you. I'll uninstall both and redo everything with Vortex and with reinstalling the mods I'm supposed to do it manual link instead of the vortex link?
  2. Thank you all for the advice. Another question I have is Vortex auto imported my plugins I think, but not the mods. Should I have deleted NMM first or is this something I shouldn't be concerned about? Based off your experiences I wanna know what's the best route. As far as how many mods I have 186 in total and 165 active on NMM.
  3. So I haven't installed vortex yet because I wanted to get some friendly advice about game compatibility. I have Skyrim (non S.E.) and I wanted to know if it is compatible for it? I also wanted to know what would be better starting mods anew or migrating?
