  1. I gave up trying to get Lydia to use an Enchanted bow. I compensate by using the best arrow glitch / feature. If you give a companion a single Daedric arrow, they will always use the best arrow they have and then spawn a new one every time they fire the bow. This can generate extra arrows for your PC because you will sometimes be able to loot these "free" arrows from slain enemies.
  2. Have you done any of the civil war quests? If not, you have to do a peace treaty quest before the Jarl will agree to the risk of using the dragon trap. It's weird that he has the party lines, I don't even remember him being at the embassy.
  3. That's so sad! As they say in Skyrim, love is hard to find. Or something like that. Also, Daedric weapons ain't cheap. It might be a pain, but I would suggest looking through all your save games and trying to figure out the exact place that she stopped following you. You might be able to figure out where she is waiting or confirm that she croaked. If you're lucky, she is still alive and you can just fast travel there in your most up-to-date game and pick her up again. If she's dead, hopefully it's not too long ago in game time and you can just advance from there. I once told my companion to wait somewhere and then forgot and fast traveled to my house, maybe did some crafting or selling, and then realized Lydia was missing. After I looked through my last dozen or so saves I realized I had left her on the ice near the northern edge of the map. Oops. I fast traveled up there and picked her up. She didn't even complain.
  4. Who are you trying to marry? Did you do the quest for that NPC so that they will like you enough to want to marry you? My understanding is that if an NPC says "it's a fine day with you around" then the marriage options will pop up when you wear the amulet. If you did the quest but don't get the I like you dialogue, maybe something went wrong. Maybe you can use a console command to reset the NPC's attitude so that they like you, if there was some sort of bug with their quest, or if you did something else to piss them off.
  5. I've always assumed that all mobs swallow the loot. That goes for all games. There's nothing quite as disturbing as finding silverware, a plate and a sword inside the tummy of a wolf. Hrm. I always figured the draugr gold was left by relatives for tipping the barmaids in Sovngarde. Maybe they put it in their mouth. I don't think I've ever pulled anything bigger than a ring out of a wolf's tummy, but that's yucky enough, I suppose.
  6. I've been using Lydia for around 50 levels. I've got 100 in smithing, enchanting and alchemy, so she is currently rocking Daedric Armor and a Daedric Warhammer. I don't let her wear helmets because she looks nice without them. Overall, I haven't had too many problems. I'm a stealth archer and I just stay in front and shoot anything before they see either of us. I don't usually have a problem with Lydia running past me and getting in the way, although I have shot her in the ass and killed her a few times by misake, but I just reload. If you hug the walls, you can usually guide her past trigger plates so she doesn't set off the traps. Otherwise I just throw a healing spell on her. My steallth is better than hers, so enemies will run past me to attack her. As long as I aim carefully, it's no problem to shoot them in the back. There have been a few times when enemies have gotten behind me, and I'm thinkning, "Dammit, hold still so I can shoot you!" And then Lydia whacks them in the back of the head with the Daedric Warhammer and they go down. Thanks, Lydai!
  7. I think it will depend on your operating system. Try using a search. It's not in the Steam directory where most of the other Skyrim files are located. (Program Files\Steam\Steam Apps\common\Skyrim) I run Windos 7 and my Skyrim.ini file is in: C:\Users\My Name\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim. This directory also has a folder with all my save game files.
  8. Removing special characters from my password fixed the problem. Special characters like @, #, $, in your password won't stop you from logging into the site and forums, but it seems the Mod Manager can't handle them.
  9. I am going to try removing special characters from my password.
  10. I am unable to log in to the Nexus Mod Maneger client. The same login and password that works for the website and the forum DOES NOT let me into the client. The message I get is "The given login information is invalid." If the login was invalid, how could I be making this post? I've tried deleting all the NMM files and re-installing, because I had originally downloaded the client before creating my Nexus user account. That didn't work. Is it possible the client doesn't have permission to go online to check my credentials? Or is there a delay after account setup before the client can find your account? EDIT: Removing special characters from my password has fixed the problem.
