  1. Well I'm not a modder, I just opened it up and started searching for relations in CK between Hearthfire and Skyrim where I found the tagged BYOH connection and that all mills that sell lumber are connected to a single faction where the transaction takes place, all linked to the values I edited; costing Y for X amount of sawn logs which I changed and reinstalled the completed plugin along with the DLC to which was only partially working, again I'm not a modder so I don't know where to start and the last mod I tried to work on put 50+ hours down the drain, my saved game is backed up and I have yet to find anything that changes the value of building the homestead save for the easy cheat mods, my expertise is with .xml, CK is beyond me
  2. I did not, if I can't introduce it into my current game I'll just abandon it, not worth starting over completely for.
  3. Save file sizes can affect people at 15Mb and others work fine at 30Mb expect it to always fluctuate a bit in size but, unless your getting lags I wouldn't worry about it, there are cleaners and other programs that can try to shrink down the save file but clearing out unused or broken scripts, a more sure way is to simply disable all mods that you can afford to turn off without losing data, log in-game, save, shut down and reactivate mods and confirm load order. I had issues with bloated saves and cleaners didn't help, turning off and on the mods cut 25Mb off my save file down to 7Mb.
  4. I've had issues with my own Hearthfire mod, got it partially working by disabling hearthfire and relevant mods, going in-game and making a save without the dlc, then reactivate the dlc and mods then back in-game, if you try this, it will reset your house to when the courier is just sending you the message about buying a home and you will have to start over buying the deed and building.
  5. Bah, uninstalled Hearthfire and reinstalled, resetting everything, the cost of buying the land is now working at 20k, the materials chest now starts empty as intended, but the log pile still starts at 20 and while dialogue when buying sawn logs is working, it still buys 20 for 200
  6. I have Cutthroat Merchants loaded higher on the load order which doesn't alter the price, and I only edited the lines mentioned above, they have a TAR icon in CK
  7. After adding the SkyrimEditor.ini lines to get creation kit to work with Hearthfire I simply changed the values of BYOHHPCostLogs to 1000, (build your own hearth house?), BYOHHPAmountLogs to 1, BYOHHouseLogCount to 0. This is the second plugin I've tried to make; the first was over a year ago and more simple than this, I'm trying to increase the purchase means of Sawn Logs to 1000 gold per 1 sawn log and remove the starting 20 logs when purchasing the deed which I changed to 20000 gold, as I find even low level with cutthroat merchant makes the game far too easy to make riches with scaling stopper and master difficulty and I'm looking to make a more balanced, more reality/less story objective based progressive storyline. I saved the plugin under it's own name and loaded it at he bottom of the load list, I have few other mods such as Better Vampires, CBBE, Skyrim Scaling Stopper, Apachii Hair and few other mods all working via LOOT and TES5Edit
  8. I made an .esp through creation kit for Hearthfire, I changed the prices and quantities of buying sawn logs etc. saved it as a new plugin, activated and placed at bottom of load order, went in-game to vendor and still has old values, something I missed in creation kit?
  9. Downloaded and installed Better Vampires 6.6 using the method recommended, bottom of load list, when in-game; game freezes for a few seconds every minute, had just became a vampire when I installed the mod. I removed the mod and bug persisted, went to an older save prior to being infected and reinstalled mod with no issues, became infected and after hours of playing, about 12 in-game hours before the transformation to vampire, the bug reoccurred. Bug happens indoors and open world, day and night. Other vampire mods I'm using are: No Sun Damage - Hoods and Helmets and Vampire Face Less Sunken Cheeks - No Sunken Face for females. In-game situation: first occurrence was in the Dwarven ruins hunting down Mercer and leaving the ruins as a nightingale for Thieves Guild quest, second occurrence with the clean save where I started by getting the translation for Gallus' journal in Markarth, the bug occurred after I became a nightingale and was approaching the Dwarven ruins hunting down Mercer, I am only running a few other mods: texture overhauls, CBBE, Deadly Dragons, level uncapper and Cutthroat Merchants and the bug persists everywhere in-game, my saves are all 30 Mb in size, this lag is really making the game unplayable, any suggestions or aid is most appreciated.
  10. I'm looking for a mod that can allow me to adjust the buffs and debuffs as a vampire, particularly to increase regen even further when not in direct sunlight, this isn't available in the Better Vampires mod
  11. installed and ran LOOT, ran TES5Edit as well, no change, still CTD when equipping Emperor's Robes or a variant
  12. The vanilla 1 is causing me to CTD and I got some tweaks and customizations I don't want to risk messing with mod load order and am unable to find out what is wrong (my guess is the cloak), I'm really desperate to play Skyrim over the holidays so I am looking for a different outfit that I can replace the emperor's robes with, one that will also work for the alternate variants, Embellished Robes, Fine Raiment, Embroidered Garments, Noble Clothes. Refined Tunic works but the body texture is all weird and I can't find it as a separate file. I tried using a different armor to replace the emperor's robes but with no luck, can anyone take anything relatively story suiting and post a working mesh/texture with all the right paths etc. that I can drop in the folder to play over the holidays?
  13. I have a handful of mods as well as loose files floating around, will LOOT remove anything? I have a lot of loose files I have spent hours working on and are not really replaceable
  14. I don't run LOOT, I've a few mods and spent hours getting them in working order and I have no mod that affects the emperor's robes specifically and as I was able to get all other outfits working, I'm not sure what is causing the problem
  15. I was hoping to play Skyrim over the holidays but I keep getting CTDs from Emperor's Robes and all the variants using that mesh, I am running CBBE and was able to fix the problem with other outfits by reverting to vanilla and working from there but, even the vanilla version of emperor's robes causes CTD, I've reinstalled the vanilla mesh and texture, this is the one outfit in the entire game that I can't get to work, has anyone had something similar or otherwise knows the problem?
  16. I'm looking for a mod or other means to control the drop rate of gear, I hate doing a single quest line and all npcs in high end gear, I'd like to remove the level control of what npcs wear and have a flat % chance of them having better gear, so regardless of level, bandits will be wearing fur, hide, iron, some steel and every now and then maybe a leader will have elven or orcish etc. and really rare have glass, ebony or dwarven
  17. From where exactly besides the two I posted?, I have had some progress, I have followed a guide despite missing steps and short keys used and not mentioned; and I have been able to increase polygon count and export the .nif, which I used with Caliente's NifCleaner which lets me open it in Skyrim and Caliente's Outfit Studio however I am now stuck with the texture now being that of skin. I also moved to Mod Troubleshooting with this.
  18. Between three sources I have most of outfits except missing a few armors and a bunch of clothes/robes that I can alter the mesh structure through Caliente's Bodyslide and Outfit Studio. After hours and hours of learning and working with Blender, Caliente's NifCleaner and Outfit Studio, I have been able to increase the polygon count in Blender, export it, "clean" the .nif with NifCleaner and open in game and Outfit Studio, my problem: the outfit is made of skin. I followed the video tutorial: Import .nif with proper settings, delete skeleton, clear parent, increase polygon count, saved UV face layout, created and applied new material (from 0 to 1), added texture (image), mapped to UV, loaded the saved UV face layout (.tga), imported the same .nif again and checked off (import skeleton only + parent selected), exported the .nif with the settings shown. Then I opened with NifCleaner, selected "clean", opened in Outfit Studio: increased polygon count was there but texture was as skin, also opened in game anyways and results were same.
  19. Hopefully I'll get an answer here (21 months later...), I managed to complete an outfit and export it from Blender, I use Caliente's NifCleaner and Outfit Studio from there and it shows the outfit's texture being that of skin, any step I missed? Something in NifCleaner? Lots of things were off in the vid tutorial and I think I adjusted for it and this is the only thing I'm missing before I can get all the vanilla outfits to be affected in Bodyslide/ Outfit Studio
  20. Spent 25 hours working on Caliente's Outfit Studio over last 3 days, with Caliente's Vanilla Outfits for CBBE, Bodyslide Add-ons Vanilla and OCR - Omnisway Clothing Replacer - CBBE Bodyslide BBP TBBP, I am still missing a few pieces of armor and a good chunk of clothing/robes, I doubt anyone would increase the polygon count for me so I'm looking for a working step by step tutorial after I get an outfit imported into Blender after converting the .nif with Caliente's Nif Cleaner, I tried and failed in increasing polygon count and some tuts mention deleting stuff such as the skeleton of which I'm clueless on how to do, then how to save it as my failed test run couldn't even interact with Nif Cleaner which converts the finished .nif to a layout outfit Studio and Skyrim can use etc. etc. I assume it is just a few steps from deleting whatever I should delete, increase polygon count and save in a manner that works with Nif Cleaner, can anyone help? A vid tut would also help a lot. Also, I extracted my meshes.BSA for the .nif files, it seems I'm still missing a lot though, not just DLC but original Skyrim clothing, any pointers on where I can acquire the .nif files for: Mourner's Clothes, Black Robes, Vaermina Robes and more
  21. I downloaded a mod, a .esp is the only file, it grants an item that is equipped and irremovable until criteria is met. I am trying to get the ID for it so I can re-equip it after it is removed from inventory via console, I cant find the ID in-game and I was poking through geck to try and find it (first-time user) and all the .esp have the exact same files, I have no idea on how to find the particular item. I have already looked at tutorials and other FAQ to figure it out and no luck. I am hoping for someone to put a step by step for dummies on how to locate a piece of armor's ref or base ID whether in geck or another way.
  22. #1 I can't mod if my life depended on it simple mod, I am looking for the ebony greatsword appearance to replace the ebony blade katana appearance, what I would imagine would be a simple rename on some files so that they both have the ebony greatsword appearance, I hope someone can help me out.
  23. Been looking and haven't found if it has already been made, I like dual wielding weapons but, was looking for a mod that I can equip a spell and a weapon in each hand using mouse buttons 1,2 for weapons and mouse buttons 3,4 for the spell in each hand and without putting away the weapons. It seems doable but I have no knowledge of making any type of mods
