  1. I'm hoping someone has some info or experience that can help me with a base building issue I'm having. I've been moving things around on my freighter and the Holographic Chart Projector, "BLD_PLANET_HOLO" is overpoweringly bright. If I can't find a way to turn the outer cylindrical grid illumination intensity down, I'm gonna have to live without it. I doubt there's anything I can do about it, but I'm hoping that someone might know of some possibility for changing some parameter in the JSON freighter base file. If someone happens upon a solution at any point in the future, please don't hesitate to mention it. I'll still want to know how to do this months or even years from now. I'm going to post the dimming request on Zendesk for now, but I have no expectations that it will change anything. ~TYVMIA Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. :smile: PS. -- I could compensate for the overpowering brightness in my nVidia settings, but then other areas would be underwhelmingly dim....
  2. Greetings; I've been trying to fix a CTD when trying to approach the Temple of Miraak in Solstheim. My Papyrus log: My Load order: > Have not updated NMM to most recent version. > I wrye bash, but not plugins marked as 'no merge' or where it is stated that they should not be bashed. > I use LOOT to sort my load order, but force the placement of a couple mods like The Kids Are Alright, Hothtrooper44_Armor compilation, and Master Trader.. where they require placement respective of Relationship Dialogue Overhaul, RSChildren... otherwise it is LOOT managed... > I FNIS at the end. > I have cleaned masters with SSEedit.. Dawnguard has 6 ITM's and 57 undeleted navmeshes which I cannot clean. > I used Resaver.exe on my most recent save file (backed up) which had 0 deletions for Ctrl 1, unknown deletions for Ctrl 2 (display glitch didn't state how many deletions made, text missing/whited out), and 541 deletions for Ctrl 5. > my order for running mod progs is (Verify game cache, if doing so), LOOT, SSEedit of dirty edits (because some files are reacquired after Verify), Wrye Bash, then FNIS. PC Specs: CPU: Phenom II x6 1055t (No OC) GTX 970 (Stock) 8 GB DDR3 1600 (Stock) 250GB SSD, lots of room My Steam folder / game files are on the SSD C drive but not in Prog files. As I approach the Temple of Miraak to further the Dragonborn quest "Reach the Temple of Miraak", I invariably CTD when changing any exterior cell proximal to the Temple. TYVMIA for any advice.

Issue still unresolved, can't bring myself to play until I sort this out. >I've verified game files. >I've cleaned all masters removing all UDR's and ITM's that SSEedit would remove. >I've used script cleaner on my saved game as per youtube tutorial instructions. >I've coc'ed into the Thirsk Mead Hall, but CTD as soon as I exit it.. >I've tried Player.moveto (Frea, immediate CTD). > My bash is properly made, no unmergeable mods bashed. >I don't see any obvious issue with load order.. >I have ENBseries and ELE for ENB, but I CTD at any quality res. At present, the only other glitch I am having is that I drop horses when I ride Aarvak. As I ride along, other horses I own will spawn as I ride along.. but that doesn't bother me since it is only immersion-breaking.. I have no idea what programs to use or what errors / conflicts to look for to see what the mod conflict is or what reference is being called for which is not present, or what reference exists which the game doesn't recognize. In other words, I have no idea how to proceed. Now I can just wait for SKSE64 to arrive cuz I was gonna start again then anyway, but I'd really like to know what went wrong here and gain familiarity with the programs that allow me to deal with this kind of issue... but after looking through dozens of forum posts and youtube videos about CTD's linked to changing cells and exterior cells, I have no idea what to look for and what to 'clean'... I'm not looking for a Guru to walk me through the fix by the hand.. and I won't pester anyone by constantly imploring "Now what?".. but I sure could use some advice on which program to use now, and what it is that I should learn to do with it / them...   4. So, I downloaded the script cleaner again since it had been updated since I had downloaded it the first time on 3/16.. I watched the linked tutorial in the video section, and deleted both the recommended groups mentioned in the tutorial and saved. Went to Solsthiem, fast-traveled to the abandoned lodge, ran east towards the temple just like last time and .. CTD in the exact same spot. Next, I tried downloading Phenderix magic evolved mod for the blink strike spell since I read that I might be able to 'jump' the problem area.. but I can't get close enough for any mobs to render.. (I can see part of the temple and some of the stairs, but as soon as I enter the cell nearer to it, CTD) Then I tried player.moveto Frea (04017a0d) and immediately CTD after pressing enter. I might have a mod conflict / load order issue, but I have no idea how to proceed if so... Any further suggestions are greatly appreciated. LCmeshes is luxury collection clothing I ran through bodyslide so it would fit my character..

I have verified cache a few times.. the first time there were 4 files which had to be reacquired.. afterwards the cache checked out good, then after another CTD or two again the files had to be reacquired.. and all good afterwards... I have Fallrim tools (I had installed it a few months back when I thought I might be able to use it to pull Lydia's info out of a save file and allow certain mods I run to 'fix' her and permit me to "re-meet" her without the man-walk, but I never figured out how to work it so it's just.. there. In a nutshell, what might I try to do with it that you think might help my situation? I'm sure I can find tutorials to show me how to use it, but I'm not sure what functionality I would be trying to use. Thanks again. edit: Not 100% sure, but I think after running sseedit on the files, the altered masters would be reacquired the next time I ran verify cache.. so I re-ran SSEEdit, and don't run verify any more.. (unless I intend to run SSEEdit again...).
  6. I believe my game may be irretrievably broken, and I'm hoping, beyond hope, that someone might proffer insights to the contrary. I'm presently in my 3rd play through of SSE with over 565 hrs of game play on a heavily modded (199 installed, 197 active) play through. This entire post is based on the fact that I am trying to complete quests on the other DLC since I believe I finished the questline with Alduin and Paarthurnax. In the last 65 hours I have begun to experience serious gameplay issues. In addition to the issues I will elaborate on here, I also encountered some follower and responsive AI issues, but those seem to be under control.. *** I attempted the Diplomatic Immunity quest on the Thalmor embassy. I could not proceed beyond the point where I am to give Delphine my gear. Game freeze. Old issue with lots of info on the forums. I have had all major patches installed from the beginning. I emptied my inventory of all inventory especially modded.. all books, notes, journals that i could drop/shelve.. stored all my food and ingredients.. stored all scrolls.. Then changed into common clothes.. handed off the vivid weathers book to a follower.. dropped the auto sorting fish on the floor of my bedroom.. the 20 sawn logs on the floor via console (a pair of boots?) and still a no-go. After hours of searching, I used a solution involving console commands and setstage to get through the various steps of the Thalmor quest until I had my gear back.. which worked out fine until I got into the interrogation area where an NPC was missing as was his voiced dialogue. While I was given credit for completing the quest, all the setstages and missing NPC made it an empty 'victory'. Then I added a follower or 2 (I'm a collector of followers) and discovered that earlier followers I had added briefly to 'get them out of my way' had added them to my follower total and decreased my total follower list which was now maxed. Very shortly thereafter, a patch was released which permitted the followers in AFT to go to 64 from whatever it had been (32?) tho I only had around 21-23 including Meeko as active followers. So I installed a mod/patch to increase the follower limit to 64. I had initially used wrye bash to tweak the ini of max followers to 64 when I added the boost patch. I believe I then finished the questline to get the enhanced Dwarven crossbow without issue. I then, very recently, became aware that I had an instance of AFT which wasn't by the same modder who had put up the follower boost for the mod by the same name. This was close to my 550 hr mark. After that I began working on the main questline again (I think). That is the one which ends with the encounter with Alduin. I think I had 3 quests to finish to complete the questline and for all of them I kept running into situations where all AI would stop working / all action would cease at certain points (I could still run around and shout clear skies) so I was again forced to setstage through the last few stages of each quest. I then became aware that the AFT I had and the AFT for which the follower boost was issued had slightly differing file formats. I uninstalled the first AFT mod & boost patch, then reinstalled the same from the mod where boost patch was provided by same author. I also reinstalled an updated version of USSEP which had also been recently issued.. After setting my load order (which I did by just placing them where LOOT had the earlier mods before, I ran wrye bash (making sure to untick the 4 plugins which specify no merge) and ran FNIS. It was then I was met with a notification that there were dirty mods (I had cleaned all dirty mods ages ago and there had been none until then except the 51 dragonborn or dawnguard references which normally persist.). I ran SSEEdit to clean the 3-4 affected files. I then loaded most recent save and, when I discovered I could still play, decided again to clear my journal of quests and chose a Solstheim quest. Kill General Falx. I returned to Snow Elf Palace and retrieved Serana who would now follow me after the AFT mod updates.. completing the quest without issue. I went back to Raven Rock and decided to head to Miraak's temple. I fast traveled to the abandoned shack intent on hoofing it to the temple. As soon as I change cells.. CTD. So I went to another spot where I was to continue the served cold quest and killed a couple NPCs no prob. I decided to try heading to the temple from the South and proceeded North.. soon thereafter.. CTD. So, there you have it. I'm trying to get to Miraak's Temple and can't get anywhere near it or I CTD. My buffered cells loading is 36 (so that means my uGrids are 5 if I understand correctly).. I haven't messed with any of that directly. I was contemplating switching my buffered cells to 24/25(?) in the ini to get through the content (since I read that that has worked for some people with less than stellar rigs.., but it was made clear that the change would forever make my save game fixed at this lower resolution setting. While my PC is average, I had been running fine with some shadow settings at Ultra and most others at high. Now, even with all high, CTD. PC Specs Phenom II x6 1055t (Stock) GTX 970 (No boost) 8GB 1600 DDR3 (stock) Win10 250GB SSD (with all game files local, not in prog files) 1TB Storage HDD I have no idea how to run the papyrus thing... I haven't updated to most recent NMM. Thanks in advance for any advice. If this is something I was supposed to post to technical forum or other, just point me in the right direction and I will delete it. Hi modders and forum-mates; I have encountered numerous obstacles on my "Mod it 'til it Breaks" Skyrim Odyssey. 500 hrs and 180+ mods later, I have gained a novice familiarity with ENB/INI tweaking, TES5Edit cleaning, WryeBash patching, BodySlide conversion to my body type(UNP Body Renewal), LOOT sorting, FNIS managing... I have yet to get the CK to work or do anything in it. I keep doing something wrong, God knows what. But the one thing that has continued to evade me is finding a sexy French Maids Outfit port to SE or one that works that I can convert to my body type. I have lots of Lingerie and skimpy armor sets that I'm slowly tweaking down to fit my presets. I know there's a difficult way (difficult for me, that is).. I can follow a tutorial on porting over Oldrim mods then follow other tutorials about optimizing Nifs and something something textures.. repacking this into that ... or, I can ask. Please, will ya? Huh? Pretty Please with Moonsugar on it? I've got a whole dresser full of Apple Pies and Sweet Rolls... eh? EH? I'll even throw in a barrel full of Charred Skeever. Meeko isn't eating it.
  9. I often just want to jump on a horse and explore the countryside.. but it seems you can't ride for 30 seconds or more before something attacks you or you encounter a hostile facility. I often wish I could climb to the top of a nearby tower and get the lay of the land... Some of my initial ideas were for the "I Fell" tower. The builder could have named it in his dying breath... and "The Leaning Tower of Pizza".. with a shoppe at the base which sells some of the pizza mods books/recipes? ..The Seer's Tower (Sear'sTower, now Willis)... Skytree (tallest tower in the world; Tokyo Japan)... The Dragon tower (Harbin, China).. of course, the appearances wouldn't need match the namesake... and stairs with navigable navmeshes could be avoided with portals at the base and top... But then I got to thinking an actual structure might not be necessary... small shrines could be placed where one might sit and meditate.. projecting their minds' eye into the air... affording them an unobstructed view of the lay of the land (weather permitting). .. or avoid even creating shrines and make a spell for bringing the camera view high into the air...
