  1. That looks awesome! I'd say perhaps have a "glow changer" or a file to install all of the colours as craftables. I'd want them all! :)
  2. Sorry .... but I feared there was something " hanging on ", which can happen a lot with Scripted Mods, even in a clean save, some .ini file does not want to ' let go ' .... Good luck ... as I've been there, done that and call it a P.I.T.A. day. The sad thing is I did this just last week to fix another issue I was having after I merged some mods that apparently didn't want to merge (oddly they were all non-leveled weapon/armour mods and showed green in the merge mods tool). I guess I'll keep playing my current character for now since she runs fine and then do it on a day off when I have time to make a proper go.
  3. I may have to just re-install and do it clean. I disabled all of my mods and re-validated all of the files after deleting the inis but it still happens. Ugh, there goes my day. XD
  4. Yup, I should have noted that I stopped using Skyui as well because of that. I forgot to re-export my load order. The game is a pita without it but better than dealing with headaches. Granted I didn't have any issues before, I uninstalled them because of this problem hoping it would help. LOOT keeps sorting my Unnoficial patch below the apachi mods but I just deleted those and moved it up. There was a tiny bit of improvement. While the game still crashes I was able to load an old lvl 1 tester character and use racemenu to change her race. However if I load a nord character changing race still crashes the game. I'm going to see if anything modifies the Nord race or any other base races or presets right now.
  5. Thanks for the reply! To answer your questions: -I use LOOT to sort my load order and usually go from there editing where it needs to be with compatibility. -I did use SKSE 64 but I uninstalled it recently for exactly that reason. ^_^ -I use SSEEDIT to manually edit mod records for compatibility, especially on my NPC replacers so that I'm only using the version of each character I like best. -As for my machine I'm pretty sure it can handle anything but I'll post my specs so you can see: IntelĀ® Core i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz (8 CPUs), ~4.0GHz 16GB RAM NVidia Geforce GTX 980ti x 2
  6. Current save works dandy, all is well, no crashes. I had issues a couple weeks ago that I fixed. I went through, got an idea for a new character and decided to start another save. Loads fine, goes to the cell from LAL fine, yada yada. The second I try to change race or gender from the default male nord it CTDs unceremoniously. I went ahead and unchecked all of my plugins, verified game cache, and tried again with the vanilla og opening. After 10 years of waiting through that damn carriage ride...arrived in Helgen...nord male...crash upon changing. Re-enabled LAL because that one is ruled out now as the culprit and tried again. Crash upon race/gender change. I'm guessing I have something up with my load order but I don't see how it would have affected the game when I had all the plugins unchecked. Here's my load order either way. If anyone wants to poke around my data folder I can upload that somewhere too or an image of it if that helps... If anyone would be willing to help me figure out what's going on I'd be very grateful. I love my current character and all but it'd be nice to play something new. I've been on her for a while now. Thank you so much for any help. <3
  7. Just throwing my unimportant voice in with this: I love the new site design. I thought I'd hate it but honestly it's great. It has all the important information, it's streamlined, and it's neater under the hood from what you guys have said and easier for y'all to work with! If the new Mod Manager is as good as the new site design I'm excited. Change is scary but you guys have done it well. Keep up the great work!! <3
  8. NIIICE! I'm not very fluent in sseedit so I'll see what I can do with it. I found some good tutorials though!
  9. Awesome, I didn't think of that. So I figure what, just delete the references to each character in all the mods except the version I prefer?
  10. Hi! I'm trying to figure out if something I'd like to do is possible and how to go about it to ensure the best outcome. Since this community is much smarter than I and tends to know more about this stuff I thought I'd ask here and get some tips from you awesome modders and mod users. <3 So here's the dealio: I use a TON of NPC overhauls and replacers. I like the way some npcs look in some better than others and a lot of them overlap. Usually I just install them in a certain order and overwrite the way I want it to be. It works fine for me and I usually only have issues if I don't play and update for a long time. However, it DOES take up a TON of esp slots. So here's what I'm wanting to do: Would it be possible to somehow put my NPC replacers together with the NPCs from each one that I want only into one esp file? I know I can merge them via the merge mods tool but that won't let me choose which NPC to use from each mod. Is it as simple as getting the right files from each mod for each NPC or deleting the extra NPCs I'm not using from each mod and merging them that way? If so which files do I need to keep or delete?
  11. Dude, I can't believe I found this thread. I just started sse back up after a few months of hiatus. Re-did my mods, made sure everything was updated, tralala. Played fine for three days...boom. Saves all with the rainbow image saying they're corrupted today. I can load them if I exit the game but not from in-game itself. Also having issues with some mod-added dialogues like aft not showing up all the time while the functionality otherwise remains the same. If it helps, here's my messy long load order. I haven't finished merging and slimming it down yet because I typically try not to mess with it too much when I get it stable. I hope my load order can help narrow it down some.
  12. I like the new design. It's similar enough to the old that it's easy to navigate but streamlined and modern. It also displays important information and gives me more confidence in my mod downloads.
  13. I'm using this awesome one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3352/? I like more vivid colours (vanilla skyrim is too grey for me. I know it's realistic but I want pretty.) and I hate DOF (It makes me dizzy) so I turn it off completely. Makes me happy!
  14. Probably because most of the playerbase is still young boys. As a grown-ass woman I for one prefer more realistic proportions and non-skimpy armour. I don't mind some impracticality in my armours because it is a fantasy game and I don't require it to be 100% realistic so some boob plate is okay I guess and pretty embellishments that would just get in the way of real armour is a-okay by me. I just don't want major organs showing and vulnerable so I don't play super cleavage stuff or chainmail bikinis.
