  1. Which all means that it is still up to players to be on top of their mod management, so besides texture packs it really isn't as simple as being "a push of a button away". Do your homework and backup your saves as always. I for one am still going to get my mods from the Nexus since I want to know exactly what is going where in my game files. That and I like being able to keep a nice folder full of the zipped files so I know just what I have installed.
  2. Somehow I just knew they wouldn't be able to measure up with quest numbers. Sigh... and here I was hoping I would get to really feel a part of the companions like I did the fighters guild in Morrowind.
  3. This mod is supposed to be a option for those of us who want this, not so that it will replace everything in the game and force you to do use it if you dont want :) also http://http//www.hollywoodreporter.com/sites/default/files/blogs/2010/08/game-of-thrones-288x288.jpg Lord Ned dont seem to mind some fur on his shoulders :D Hopefully both end up as options, though I would agree that something should also be done about the lack of padding under armor which would be another place fur could be added in, both as a winterizer and as a practical I no longer will get horrible bruising or worse from that mace I just took to the leather pauldron strapped directly to my bare arm..
  4. Skyrim is a close second to Morrowind, it does some things better, but it also has taken steps backward in other places. Aside from the Shivering Isles Oblivion doesn't get much in the way of consideration--this is especially true since with a texture overhaul my version of Morrowind looks almost, if not as good as vanilla Oblivion. I have been pretty impressed with the cities in Skyrim, they are also more populated a definite point in Skyrim's favor, but I haven't quite had that coming out of the rain and fog to see the first canton of Vivec moment yet, though seeing Whiterun for the first time came close as have a couple of other discoveries.
  5. I'd like to see the dwemer armor get redone so that it feels more mechanical, right now its more akin to something out of European history than it is to an underground race of elves who built steam powered guardians. Yes, that is it I want to feel like a smaller less impressive version of a steam centurion when walking around in dwemer plate! The helm is ok, but that silly ridge between the ye slits would get a warrior killed in a fight...
  6. I agree with you on both the animals and the dictionary points. It seems reasonable that the strangeness of creatures would be an something that is not relegated to Morrowind alone, its not earth, and Morrowind borders on Skyrim. Though maybe a bit harsh my conclusion is that they got lazy or unimaginative in the creature design department, the ones they have are good, but they could be better.. As to the journal, I hate it. I want to have a proper journal, one that includes directions to quest objectives and the dialogue of the NPCs telling me what I'm ding. What is with the going backwards Bethesda?
  7. I like the higher end armors, but I am in agreement that it would be fantastic if there were winterized versions alongside the normal ones. Perhaps a winterizing option could even be added to the armor improvement table? It would have course require only the most luxurious saber cat pelts, though cave bear would be good too.
