  1. The weapon system in Fallout 4 is kinda strange. It bugs me that I have replace every part I remove from a gun with a new part. Why can't I just take all the component pieces off a gun and scrap it? But more importantly I think not having a weapon condition stat, like previous games is a huge let down. I loved repairing and maintaining my weapons in previous Fallout titles. The new weapon system which consists of individual weapon parts instead of just individual weapons, could have provided a rich basis for an awesomely deep RPG system that revolved around weapon wear. Each component could have had its own condition stat, and its own unique effect on the weapon when the component is in a worn state. A worn receiver would have a lower rate of fire, and be prone to jamming when in a really low condition. A worn barrel would have lower accuracy. A worn stock would have higher recoil. A worn scope or sight could drift off target requiring the player to compensate. A worn magazine could have reduced capacity. A worn silencer could get increasingly loud as it gets worn, and its condition deteriorates. Would also be cool if you could oil and clean your weapons, which would provide protection, lowering the wear rate of the weapon's components for a period of time. This would be a lot of fun having to maintain all these different parts of the weapon, and dealing with the effects of worn/damaged parts, while searching for a suitable replacement parts, or the materials to repair it with. The difficulty of maintaining so many parts and finding replacement parts could be mitigated by allowing the player to take parts off of any gun without having to replace them with a standard part, and allowing the player to break weapons down into their component parts, to be used on other weapons.
  2. After updating to the newest version of Fallout 4 (1.5.157), LOOT no longer correctly recognizes which plugins are active. If I deactivate a plugin in NMM LOOT will show that plugin is active, and if I activate a plugin in NMM LOOT shows that it is inactive. Fo4edit works exactly the same way. The only exception to this are the main Fallout4.esm and DLC esm's (DLCRobot.esm, and DLCWorkshop01.esm). These are always shown as inactive regardless of whether they are activated in NMM or not. Despite what LOOT and Fo4edit report the plugins seem to be active and working fine in the actual game it is just a problem with LOOT and Fo4edit recognizing this. I can kind of work around the issue in Loot by selecting the opposite of my load order in NMM (deactivating the plugins I want to use, and activating the ones I don't) sorting the plugins in LOOT, then selecting the correct plugins in NMM again, but it gets old, and since it always shows that the DLC are inactive I always get error messages for mods which use the DLC as masters. With Fo4edit you just have to remember what your load order is and select those plugins manually when it first opens, or select the opposite of your load order in NMM like with LOOT. Does anyone know what is going on here or how to fix it? I can't figure out how to attach a picture to this post (I get a file too larger error if I use "Attach Files", and I get an error saying I am not allowed to use a picture with that extension (.jpeg and .gif) if I use the little picture icon on the message editor), so I am just going leave some links to the pictures showing what I am talking about with NMM, LOOT, and Fo4edit. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=43924233190B3164!10455&authkey=!AHnsk20OAgAn46E&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=43924233190B3164!10453&authkey=!ANI55D-e94CrXfs&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg
  3. For some reason all Nuka Colas in the game have ceased glowing. HDR is turned on, and I know it is working because my ENB is working. That being said I have tested with and without the ENB. I have also tried disabling all mods. I don't know what could be causing this. In and of itself it is not that big of an issue but I worry other lighting elements may not be working correctly either. The only thing I can think is that some texture asset from a mod could be causing this. But if I disable all mods in FOMM, does the game even still use the textures added in the Data folder?
  4. On my game somehow the relationship between weapon condition and weapon damage has been reversed. Every time I repair a weapon the weapon damage decreases for that weapon. Obviously this is quite annoying and I don't know if I can continue to play like this. Does anyone know what files/variable control the relationship between condition and weapon damage. I have to wonder if some how like a negative sign got placed in front of that variable somehow or something.
  5. I used the player.modav carryweight on my game and now I really regret it. I didn't realize it at the time but evidently doing this kind like magically sets your carry weight and from now on carry weight ignores strength altogether, which kind of sucks because I feel like I am missing out on a lot of the effects of chems and what not.
  6. Title pretty much says it all. When I take Jet my action points do not increase. I am playing in hardcore mode. I use Project Nevada and some other small mods, mainly just visual stuff.
  7. bjornl, posted about the problem already. You are using mod patches you don't need for WMX, AWOP, and WME maybe even more. When a mod comes with compatibility patches you need to be sure to only use the ones that actually apply to you. For instance since you have all the DLC you certainly don't need the patch for noDLC. So all those mods that have compatibility patches you need to go back and disable the ones that you don't need. Also using WMX and WME is likely causing some problems for you as well. So it looks like WMX, WME, EVE, and AWOP's compatibility patches are the problems. Also make sure you are using BOSS to get the load order right. If BOSS doesn't recognize some of your mods, then click on edit user rules in BOSS and look at the masterlist to see where similar mods are placed in the load order. After you have the load order sorted out run FNVeidt to create a merged patch to handle any conflicts b/w your mods, which I am sure there are a lot of using multiple weapon, and weapon mods mods.
  8. I use to have crashes about every other time I would enter or leave camp Mcarran to or from the wasteland. I was using the large NMC texture pack and Ojo Bueno texture pack. I ended up getting so frustrated I reinstalled new vegas and completely rebuilt my data folder reinstalling every mod periodically running BOSS to make sure load order was right, and running the game after every 5th mod installed to make sure game was running with said mod installed. Anyway I also switched to using the small version of NMC texture Pack and Poco Bueno instead of Ojo Bueno texture pack. Now I have zero crashes anywhere, when I use to crash all the time when going through doors especially at camp McCarran. So my suggestion is to use smaller texture packs if you are using any or remove them altogether and also be sure to sue the 4gb exe. Also there is a mod called NVAC that is suppose to reduce crashing and I have been using it with success. So in summary I would use the following to reduce crashes and increase performance: -Smaller Texture Packs or none at all -4 GB loader/exe -NVAC -Stutter Remover (will remove microstutter, be sure to open of the ini and change the max FPS from 30 to 60) -Fake Fullscreen Game Companion (this helps a lot too with crashing and performance) (be sure to disable VSYNC it will not be needed if you are using the stutter remover as it caps FPS to 60) -BOSS to sort out your load order -FNVedit to create merged patches to fix conflicts with mods All of this can be found here on the nexus.
  9. Thanks for your reply. It has happened for as long as I can remember, even before I installed any mods, and I have always used the FNVEdit to create merged patches. I went ahead and disabled every mod and ran the game just to be sure and it still happens even with all mods disabled. I think it must be something to do with the graphics settings, and view distance or something, I just don't know what. I was hoping someone else had seen this before and knew what to do to fix it.
  10. Okay I have a problem with mountain ranges in the game where when I am about 500 feet or so from them they are all stretched out towards the sky and just messed up looking. But as I approach further towards them they slowly shrink back down towards the ground and look normal again. It happens all over the place. Anyway if anyone has experienced this problem with the terrain and more importantly knows how to fix I would be much obliged. I have uploaded a picture to get a better idea of what I am talking about.
