1. Tamriel Reloaded will change the whole feel of the game. A simple setup would be Skyrim Flora Overhaul (Basic or Regular) + Simply Bigger Trees + DynDOLOD
2. Hi guys, I recently discovered this awesome mod made by jewbearmatt. It's called Immersive Hold Borders. It basically adds outposts on hold borders to add to that civil war feel to Skyrim. It's a simple mod that brings a lot to Skyrim, well actually it's not 'simple' cause the author actually made some of the border outposts unique to that hold. As you'll see on the mod page. It's really a hidden gem. Now, I have literally no skills in modding so I have to put in this request to you experienced modders. Hopefully it doesn't require a lot of work to fix but the issues are the following: 1. It seems the navmesh on the gates, especially the smaller wooden gates seen on orc strongholds and barricades mess up traveling NPCs (Immersive Patrols, Adventurers and Travelers and other similar mods) NPCs get stuck on the walls trying to walk through. 2. The guards once aggro'd by something don't return to their posts. They just stand there unless aggro'd again. (A little bonus would be to give them an area to sandbox or patrol) If that's too much then the guards returning to their posts is good enough. 3. I have not checked how often they respawn, but it would be great if they respawned often. 4. Other things you think might make the mod better. I messaged jewbearmatt and asked him if he allows the use and editing of his mod and he kindly gave permission. He himself is also a modding novice (But great designer lol) and cannot patch the current bugs. Hopefully it's not that much trouble. Thanks!
3. I followed STEP too. And I'm testing with brand new saves. I think it's too many scripted mods.. can scripts cause freezing? They usually cause CTDs I think.
4. I'm getting really frustrated now. I spent the last week carefully modding a clean install of Skyrim then BAM, this happens. It's frustrating cause you think you're doing everything right. Using BOSS, Mod organizer, TES5EDIT cleaning, a bashed patch, ini tweaks, ENB w/ ENBoost, not too much script mods, keeping script latency <80, turning off autosave, double checking mod compatibilities, ran texture optimizer after installing texture mods, keeping my RAM and VRAM usage at safe levels but even after all of this there are still issues. I managed to eliminate CTDs and Infinite loading screens, I've never experienced a CTD or ILS in more than 5 hours of testing. My problem is freezing. I'm doing stress tests (player.setav speedmult 1500 then running around Skyrim) I usually last more than 5 minutes but then at some point I freeze and it's not in a certain place. I freeze in random places. Used Skyrim Performance Monitor and it's not running out of VRAM and RAM. My max VRAM used was 1800, RAM was 1000. I even tried running on a low resolution and turned off my ENB and I was still freezing. WHAT THE HELL IS IT NOW SKYRIM?!! BTW: I have an i5-3450 3.1Ghz, and a 2GB HD 7870 LE. Here's my BOSS log: Here's my Skyrim.ini SkyrimPrefs.ini EDIT: I started trimming down on mods, removed CWO and ASIS. Rebuilt my patches and started a new game. Now I'm getting CTDs, which I didn't experience in hours of testing before. THIS s#*! IS RIDICULOUS. f*#@ YOU TOO SKYRIM ENGINE!
5. So I started with the basic texture replacers and an ENB (That has ENBoost). The Hi Res pack, Skyrim HD, SMIM, Amidianborn, Project Parallax, Xenius Character Enhancement, Enhanced Distant Terrain, Realistic Water Two etc etc. I didn't go overboard with the textures because of Skyrim's 3.1GB limit, I used only the 2K and 1K versions. I don't have a single 4K texture yet when I do sharp turns, or quick mouse movement I get stutters. Sometimes freezes for 2-3 seconds then back to normal frame rates. I have no idea why and I think my graphics card 2GB HD 7870 LE coupled with an i5-3450 can handle those textures easily. What the hell happened Skyrim?! EDIT: I've tested this a lot, when I first get in the game there are no stutters or lags or freezes just normal Skyrim at 40 FPS. When I reach about 5 mins of playing time the stutters arrive, it even happened on empty non performance heavy places. This is frustrating. Yes I have the usual utilities TES5EDIT, BOSS, Wrye Bash, followed STEP etc. I can't figure out what I did wrong. And yes I have the latest drivers. And no I don't experience this with other games.
6. http://skyrim-comparison.wikidot.com/ It currently has a limited amount of ENBs to compare but it has the potential to make choosing the right ENB so much easier and covenient. Spread the site people!
7. 1280x720 is the native resolution, saw it at the NVIDIA control panel. What's baffling me is I've been playing at 1360 resolution for weeks now. It was fine, the picture wasn't oversized and the picture was crisp. One day I think my brother watched TV and I had to set the TV source back to HDMI. Since then 1360 resolution doesn't work anymore... I'm asking this cause there's a big difference in picture quality between 1280 and 1360 resolutions... At least what I notice...
8. Hi guys, I have this problem where when I set the game resolution to anything above 1280 the game goes beyond the TV edges, like the ENB startup message at the upper left of the screen. It also affects the quality. At 1280 resolution the text looks crisp and detailed. At anything higher it looks enlarged and low res. I tried 1920 resolution and it worked fine but I got 15 fps lol It seems any resolution between 1280 and 1920 gives me trouble. I use an HDMI cable to connect my HDTV to my PC btw. One thing I noticed was the TV blacks out for a bit when starting the game at resolutions between 1280 and 1920, then the TV shows 1080p @ 60hz. But when I set it to 1280 resolution it shows 720p @ 60hz it works just fine. Is my TV having trouble with 1080p? I've tried everything from configuring my NVIDIA control panel to override game settings etc. Anyone know the solution to this?
9. For Claralux I learned that it's latest version will break your game. And I've cleaned all my mods, removed all incompatibilities. The results were good, I played for about 2 and a half hours last night CTD and freeze free. I think it was ASIS that was giving me problems, my previous logs had thousands of errors coming from ASIS alone. The thing is I'm still getting errors on my logs but the number of errors has greatly reduced compared to my previous logs, my current errors are mostly coming from those mods I just can't uninstall (Hypothermia, Econo of Skyrim, SabreFurBag, SIM). What is baffling me is why I CTD upon loading any of my save games once I rebuild all my patches without those mods I want to uninstall. Maybe they're already tied to my save game. Thanks for the replies man, appreciate it. EDIT: Played for another 2 or 3 hours today without a single CTD or freeze, the stuttering has been reduced significantly too. Things are looking good!
10. Gah, that looks risky. Better read the comments and feedback first. Thanks for suggesting though.
11. I checked my save on Wrye Bash, It showed this. Plus all my saves have a red check and box. Missing Masters for: quicksave.essxx Economics of Skyrim.espxx HitStop.espxx Hypothermia.espxx SabreFurBag.espxx SIM - NPCSUBMITTED.espxx SIM- NPC Additions.esp This might be why I'm CTDing upon loading my saves. I already removed them and rebuilt all my patches (AV, ReProccer, Bashed Patch) but they are still appearing on my save. Are they stuck to my save? -.-
12. I guess I wasn't really careful in choosing my mods... When I rebuilt my Reproccer the startup CTDs went away, but I couldn't load my save for some reason. It CTDs on every save so I just restored my Reproccer.esp backup. And had to bring back Hypothermia, EOS and SIM to remove the startup CTD. It seems the Delinquent master tag is the culprit. Why do you think it CTDs on loading my save when I rebuilt my ReProccer? • 88 ReProccer.esp • Delinquent Master: Economics of Skyrim.esp • Delinquent Master: SabreFurBag.esp • Delinquent Master: SIM- NPC Additions.esp • Delinquent Master: SIM - NPCSUBMITTED.esp • Delinquent Master: Hypothermia.esp • Delinquent Master: Hunterborn.esp So far I've only fixed the ASIS errors but I've greatly reduced the number of error logs by fixing that alone. BOSS Log:
13. Since you haven't provided much information about what mods you use and what mods you are trying to uninstall (and thus, what scripts are running), I can't really answer any of question. If you think you 'messed up' (would need details on what you think you might have done 'wrong'), you can also delete all the mods, verify game files via Steam, and start fresh, this time selecting a smaller list of 'essential' mods you won't want to pull out in the middle of a playthrough. Sorry bout that, I've found out why I was getting startup CTDs upon uninstalling certain mods. I had to rebuild all my SkyProc patches before uninstalling. I think my problem is script congestion based on my Papyrus logs, I got hundreds of error lines coming from ASIS. But now, I've successfully uninstalled Economics of Skyrim, Hypothermia, SIM NPC Immersion Mod and ASIS. It seems my ReProccer.esp and Automatic Variants.esp had those included in the patch when they were actually disabled. Maybe that was causing all the error logs. I will check tomorrow it's 4am here lol btw My Mod List:
14. I'm gonna test if a new save will still have those scripts, I couldn't uninstall those mods cause of startup CTDs. (I manually install mods and manually delete them) when I start a new game the mods are still there, they are just deactivated. Will the feature by SKSE which stops orphan scripts from running possibly remedy this?
15. Damn it, I think I'm screwed and need to reinstall the game and mods................................................ Though my CTDs and freezes are not that often but I'm sure it'll get worse in time.
