  1. Hello! You can join them safely in blender (2.78 at least) you will need to assign .bgsm files to it anyway, thats how i did it. The only issue i've experienced IF they are not weighted properly is that they will fall on, or under the ground, or they wont appear at all. Also i use an older nifscope (2.0.0.4) since the latest one (2.0.0.7) in my experience is not very reliable and has spawned a lot of faulty nifs for me
  2. I'm far from an expert, but i think those parts were not attached by the weight paint. Happens if your weapon is too long or it has small parts laid away from the center of the weapon. For those parts that share the same .bgsm you could join them together in blender by ctrl+j. Alternatively, when youre transferring weight in outfit studio, you can increase the area it searches for with the sliders. I know that fixed some of my holstered weapons, but for the really long guns i had to join the small parts together https://imgur.com/a/AyCmgfn
  3. I have the following problem, the pauldrons texture on this 'figure' i've modded into my game seems to be applied on the inside of the pauldron, and becomes half transparent black-brown on the outside. I've converted this at work from a really old nif file, with 3dsmax and checked with 2.0.7 Nifscope, everything was ok there, i brought the file home and here i'm facing this problem. There's no problem with the mesh file, just something with the .bgsm i cant figure out. It shares properties with all the other armor parts, yet the other ones work. I have at least 3-4 problems with other textures in game as well and they were all ok on my work PC so has to be wrong .bgsm settings. maybe someone with expertise could help me find the cause pretty please? https://imgur.com/nrgCbHn
  4. Hello! Thank you very much Kikaimegami! It took 2 or 3 attemps bc the guide is a bit outdated now and stuff works slightly differently, but i managed to get it to work. I just replaced the grognak axe and it might not be the cleanest method, but if anyone needs further help i might be able to. EDIT: for those looking for "build skin partitions" it is not present and not needed anymore, just export your .nif file I also found it is better to import your own body nif file as a reference, for my first attempt i was using cbbe template and my exported nif file threw a bunch of errors in nifscope 2.0.7 (Im with AB body) https://imgur.com/mGagnLg https://imgur.com/012ClHe https://imgur.com/sTyeuyo
  5. I have an old nif file of a weapon (nitrishape) it has embedded texture. I managed to convert the nif file to the newer version, but the embedded texture was removed from the new nif file in the process. I simply want to re-apply it, but for that i'd need to extract it's diffuse and normal map from the old nif file. Can anyone help?
  6. Hello! I have the armor/dress mesh and textures in fo3 .nif, but i have absolutely no idea how to proceed from here. If theres anybody who could offer some tut converting this to the vanilla cbbe femalebody for starters? Or if there is any experienced modder with spare time who could convert it to a wearable armor for FO4 ? I'd give file link via PM and we could talk details I dont want to offend anyone, and i know probably none of you really need the extra money, but im willing to pay for the labor, if anyone decides to try themselves at it
