  1. Hello again! :DD I've come before you all with another problem! I've been suffering from delayed menu loading and have been having problems trying to determine the cause. I assume it's either the mods loaded into my game (the number), a specific mod, or values in my .ini being misconfigured somehow. As I progress into the game it becomes noticeably slower and even wait up to five seconds for it to load. If anyone can point out some pointers I'd be grateful as always! :DD
  2. Hmmm. I'm pretty sure it'll allow you - has to be the control scheme that's giving you the issue. If it's the game itself then maybe you may have to have Steam validate your files, or see if you have a mod that's changed it somehow. I can't tell exactly what the problem is, but make sure you're using the directional pad and not the mouse.
  3. Here ya go! :DD http://fallout.alteredgamer.com/fallout-new-vegas/92859-how-to-play-caravan/ Read up on it and it'll help you get to playing the game properly. It is confusing at first, but they explain some of the controls for the game - and down in the comment section I believe. If this doesn't help you can try searching "how to play Caravan" on Youtube! I've had this problem before, at least that's what it sounds like.
  4. Thanks Xaranth but I've already maximized the limit with the Configator, but I'll go and push it further based on the tweak guide and see what I get! And Zalpha, I already have that installed - stuttering isn't much of my problem but it does do wonders! :DD
  5. I've been playing Fallout and modding it for about a good year now. :DD However, in resuming my career as a Nuclear Survivalist I've stumbled upon a problem I've encountered numerously - said in the title. Right when game play starts the initial frame rate is smooth, even in high - clutter/render areas (render as in Primm and Novac with multiple buildings). Yet later on, maybe 15 - 20 minutes a decrease in frame rate becomes apparent. I do use CASM and have disabled all other save options and amongst other performance fixes, yet I fear I do not know how to handle this dilemma. O: I would like to know if there is a way (or mod) to deal with this issue. Thanks to anyone who can provide feedback! :DD
  6. Downloaded? As in through Steam? If you Torrented it then that is the problem - missing files. It's recommended that you get a legal copy of the game as to avoid such problems. However, if you do have a legal copy, then just try to reinstall it completely. :P
  7. This may be an issue with your texture detail setting. Medium leaves texture a bit fuzzy, and high is the clearest. If you already have the graphics on either of those settings, then try to go and reinstall the game. Be sure to make a back up of the mod of course!
  8. Sounds like either a master is missing its .esp or that the mod is just missing a texture in general for your black texture issue. For the crash on save problem you're having, it may be that you should use CASM (great mod btw) that incrementally saves instead of having auto save, fast travel save, and wait/sleep save (which have caused crashes). It may also lie under your rig - normally a crash upon a save can occur when you run out of memory. I have 4gb of ram and that is perfect for my game. Should you have the same amount and this persists, I would also recommend you use Iobit Advanced System Care to free up some ram. As well, try getting into FNVEdit - an amazing tool that will allow you to create a merged patch since you have quite a number of mods.
  9. If anything you should try the Fallout Configator - it allows you to make more changes to the game to further improve frame rates. Should that not be enough, I recommend you read up on the Fallout 3 Tweak Guide to look into .ini changes for further improvement. I recall there being quite a bit of talk about your problem. Try going on Google and that should help you receive further insight on your problem. :DD
