  1. FUS RO- I give up. :/
  2. Sounds like the file is read only. Try right clicking on each ini and choosing properties, make sure the ReadOnly and Hidden check boxes are not set. I would recommend putting ReadOnly on after you are done editing them though. Decided to try this too, since I forgot I installed win7 recently. I checked on both the one in Documents/MyGames/Skyrim and Steam/Steamapps/common/Skyrim. The option still won't budge in my case.
  3. Same problem here... Data files option greyed out too, here's what I tried: Game-wise >Made sure BOTH Skyrim.Prefs.ini files had the =1 line of code. >Changed both lines of code to 0, saved the file, and back to 1, saving it again. >Tried the same with setting it to 0 before starting the launcher, then changing it to 1 with launcher on, and re-opening launcher. >Tried both of those multiple times. >Deleted spare Skyrim.Prefs.ini file I had in another folder as a backup in case I f***ed up. >Checked if I have the latest patch for Skyrim. Mod Manager-wise >Unsubscribed from ALL mods on Steam. >Made sure mods were actually checked in NMM itself. >Activated mods in both the Mods and Plugin tabs in NMM. >Updated NMM. >Downloaded SKSE. >Made sure SKSE is working properly. PC-wise >Moved Steam to a folder outside of program files, as per instruction on the Nexus Wiki. >Installed mods via said Wiki instructions, minding the install instructions on the mod itself. >De-installed, then re-installed the mods. >Went with a mod I used before on Steam so I knew I wasn't missing anything. >Checked if my PC was properly updated. I don't know what in Oblivion is causing this, but I'm pretty stumped on what it could be here. If it's relevant: I have the Steam version of the game, and I'm running Windows 7. My downloaded DLC is Hearthfire and Dawnguard, which won't load either, even without mods. The Data Files option won't budge either, no matter what I try.
  4. Good call there. xD Thanks, can't wait to get involved in a modding community with a proper forum.

    Hello world

Ugh, I'm terrible at introductions... Oh well, let's try this anyway. I answer to Zephyra, Zeph, Zephy, Melanie and Mel all the same. You could take the risk and try to call me Ms. Frillyskirt, but I'd strongly advise you not to. I'd describe myself as extremely random, but I have my moments were I can be a little whiny. I'm really into Skyrim mods, but I wouldn't mind trying out some for other games too. While we're on the subject of TESV: I mess around in Creation Kit from time to time, but so far nothing publish-worthy has come of it. I want to add some things into the game that Bethesda missed in my opinion. May the Nine help us all if I can get someone crazy enough to retexture some stuff or even make custom armor/weapons. :D I'd love to make my own questlines one day: fully voiced, NPC's in custom armor, and all while remaining lore-friendly.
  6. Same issue here, only mine looks like this in the file from My Games/Skyrim. bEnableFileSelection=1 bShowAllResolutions=0 uLastAspectRatio=4 Tried changing the first line in this list in the case of both files, and the Launcher STILL won't budge on that one damn option.
