  1. Yeah, both INI files. I thought I said that. They're clean files from a clean install, and no the game isn't on C:. I haven't defined anything else.
  2. I edited the right INIs for EU. I copied the pitch control thing exactly. in the My games...XcomInput.ini under XComGame.XComTacticalInput Bindings=(Name="Pitch1",Command="setoverheadcameraparameters 90 1000 -90 | SetBind F2 Pitch2") Bindings=(Name="Pitch2",Command="setoverheadcameraparameters 90 1000 -45 | SetBind F2 Pitch3") Bindings=(Name="Pitch3",Command="setoverheadcameraparameters 90 1000 -30 | SetBind F2 Pitch4") Bindings=(Name="Pitch4",Command="setoverheadcameraparameters 90 1000 -5 | SetBind F2 Pitch1") Bindings=(Name="F2" Command="Pitch1")
  3. That article has a number of details you need to pay attention to. The DIY article never covers those details, which is why it links to the pertinent key article. I need more detail on what you did (as opposed to what you were instructed to do) to be able to see if you misinterpreted anything. For instance, were you trying to do this for EU or EW? What patch level are you on? -Dubious- I tried putting that s*** in both the config files for EU in the tacticalinput section as the page shows. No effect. I'm using whatever the current version is straight from Steam. Why the hell would anyone use anything less?
  4. I tried the exact pitch control thing you linked. It had no effect.
  5. Well, hopefully someone makes this type of tool for Xcom 2, because I'll get to that once I rebuild my gaming rig.
  6. I don't like having to move the damn thing around so much. Trying to move characters and constantly not being able to see both them and where they can move to or target. I just want it zoomed out.
  7. I can't be the first person to think it's annoying as is.
  8. Seriously. Nobody could be bothered to actually write the tool to do it? I'm a game hacker from the N64 era. MIPS assembly and hex editing are fun for me. I even wrote my own gameshark code creation tools, MIPS assembler/disassembler, and co-wrote a tool for PS2 hacking. I don't do compression and checksums! Is it just one extra checksum beyond what Fairchild's Xbox 360 tool does? and does that cover everything for the current version (complete edition)?
  9. I recently picked up the complete edition of this, and I'm looking to hex edit my save data when I get started. I played Xcom EU on Xbox 360, and there was simple command line tool to unpack and repack the save data that also fixed the checksum, etc. I'm looking for a current tool like that which will work for the steam version of EU+EW with all the DLC.
