The numbers are for plug-ins right? Some mods show multiple (some quite a lot) plug-ins and some just show one. So if I'm guessing that's correct, then it varies as far the actual number of mods because some contain numerous plug-ins?

Can't find Witcher NMM download.
SuperAxilla replied to SuperAxilla's topic in The Witcher's The Witcher
Thanks, that makes sense. Confusing because I can see the mods listed, but I'm guessing to use them you need to manually download them and then add them to the game data file? I bought a hard copy of it, and I'll probably add it or register it to Steam. Either way, can you still use the NMM W2 mods? I've found online where you can't get the achievements (not a big deal for me), but I haven't seen anything yet about a hard copy vs a steam bought one and the mod capability. -
I'd like to think that this wild ending is some sort of precursor to a ME4 and they just aren't saying anything yet. It's a hope. I had my Total Military strength right up to like 6k or higher, with effective being over 3k. I thought it would unlock the ending I wanted, but didn't (although it did give a third option I didn't have in my 1st play-through, which I missed tons of side quests) and I can't see any other way to boost it, other than MP. Which ought to be fun. The linked video is pretty right on the money about the ending. Didn't really think too much into it, but after seeing that, it all makes sense why people aren't satisfied with the ending. Can't wait to see what the new DLC ending adds.

So, I've got NMM for TES V, Fallloout, Oblivion. I see the Mods for Witcher 2, but when I go to the Witcher Nexus, I can't find the download page for the Witcher 2 Mod Manager. Is it a separate NMM and if so, does anyone know where to download it? I see the mods can be downloaded, but how do you get them to work w/o a NMM?

Think I'll try the Adept or Infiltrator on insanity and see if I can level up from MP. I just didn't get the ending options that I wanted because of the "War asset effectiveness". Which I thought was high enough but I'm guessing the bottom bar number (which was like roughly half) was the real number needed to get the end option that I wanted. I got the same impression about the whole ending thing that it wasn't because of a "Happy Ending" issue, but more of a rushed through, left a lot of clarity out of it. I did hear where someone from Bioware said to save the ME3 load, because they will probably think about an ME4. I don't see why not. It did so well. Personally, I hope they do because I started with 3 and liked it so much I went back to 1 & 2, playing them nearly three times each, so I'll be sad if they don't continue it. The ME3 ending wasn't so much of an issue with me, but I can definitely see where a lack of clarification or closure would bother some loyal players who were really banking on an epic ending. So, a year or two from now, it'll be interesting to see if they develop an ME4 and how they will do it. I have a couple ideas or thoughts of how they might continue it.

NMM first attempt at mods not activating
SuperAxilla replied to SuperAxilla's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Huh. Well, I've got it in my C/Program Files (x86)\, I wonder if tossing it onto the SSD would change anything. But...., I don't know what's happening, but something must have "broke loose" last night. I got frustrated, naturally, and started to bombard my NMM with mods. Some comparable to the one i was trying to install. Some just wild (as far as adult mods go), and they started to work. I went back and installed the mod. It said successfully activated, but still not in the menu Data file or in the NMM plug-ins, BUT it started to work. Not entirely but enough. It's working only on NPCs added from other mods. It doesn't affect the normal TES V NPCs, but only the ones added through other mods. So something is working. Still, I'm getting a purple hair, although not as bad as before. The colors are are better and different shades of purple. Still it's only affecting NPCs added from any mods. So why this is working, I'm not sure. Somehow it's only affecting added NPC data and not overwriting the native NPC data. That's fine with me. But I don't know why or how it's doing this. -
I don't know if you mean MP but Insanity in MP is actually Gold. Bronze is the easiest, Silver is medium and Gold is the hardest. Yeah, I haven't tried MP yet. I want to. I was just saying that in my single player mode, I haven't played on "hard" or "insanity", so I might not be that "tough". I guess if I were to do it, I would try it on Silver first. The packages look pretty cool, but I'm guessing the credits that are required for the better ones need to be earned in MP mode. I just finished transferring all my content. I scrapped my 250GB for the 320GB Star Wars console with the connect. Comes with a crummy headset, but I'm waiting on a better one that's should be shipped in soon. Aye, yep the part in your spoiler drives me nuts on hardcore. I keep toggling back and forth from Hardcore to Normal. Especially when I get into tight spaces. I'll toggle to insanity a few times. I pop out like "Hey guys, what's up?" and Wham! "Critical Mission failure". I don't see how guys are able to play through the entire thing on insanity. Pretty rough for me. I'm playing as a Vanguard. Don't know if that's necessarily the best choice for insanity. Still, I might try the Multiplayer on easy first. Heard something about MP war assets being transferable to Singleplayer, but I'm not sure. Edit: I messed up & replied to my own post somehow when I meant to reply to 62firelight's . yay :wallbash:

NMM first attempt at mods not activating
SuperAxilla replied to SuperAxilla's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
As far as having issues with NMM downloads goes, that's an issue that's affected people since NMM was first released for public Beta. It may come and go, it may be persistent, you may only have problems with one particular file. The only advise I can give you here is to make a thread specifically about your issue over in the NMM Beta forums and in the mean-time, download mods manually and then copy and paste them into the directory NMM would've placed them in if it had downloaded them. From there, you should be able to use NMM to install/uninstall/manage your mods. Well, I didn't have the bLoad command in the SkyrimPrefs.ini folder. I did add it and it still did the same thing. But, when I move the Steam file into C/Programs, the NMM won't launch. Should I uninstall and re-install both the NMM and the game into the C/program files instead of the default x86 ? Or, I do have an SSD I could put them all on. -

Not a problem. Thanks for your time and help. I'm guessing it's just something I'll need to manually fix. Kudos+ Thanks Rabbit -
NMM first attempt at mods not activating
SuperAxilla replied to SuperAxilla's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well, I made Windows show all hidden files. I tried both of the mods and the same results. Says "Mod successfully activated" but still not in plug-ins or in the game. I did load 5 other various mods straight through NMM and they worked. Albeit, I don't know if they are completely correct. There's the orange triangle beside them and when you click on it, it takes me to a page about reporting bugs and an error message saying that NMM is overwhelmed with reports and cannot do anything. Strangely, the successful mods turned all the female's hair purple like a Final Fantasy character. The pictures shown of the authors mods show entirely different. But the other mods worked, like the "legacy palace" (think that's what it was) It just seems like either these two aren't working. -

Sorry for the delay. I’m getting ready to put the house on the market, so I’ve been running around like a nut. I really appreciate you helping me with this. I’m going to rty to provide as much detailed info as I can with this. If I need to take screen shots, I can do it with a camera. Not sure if downloading FRAPS or the other free one will record outside of gameplay. My Steam files & TES V are under the Program Files (x86) and the NMM is under the Local C. I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of Skyrim and NMM. The file under data show folders in the order of: cache, downloads, interface, meshes, Optional, Readme, Strings, textures, Video. Below are blank docs: (type bsa, esp & esm files) castlegrey.bsa, castlegrey.esm, hideout.bsa, hideout.esp, Skyrim –animations.bsa, Skyrim-Interface.bsa, Skyrim-meshes.bsa, Skyrim-Misc.bsa, Skyrim-Shaders.bsa, Skyrim-sounds.bsa, Skyrim-Textures.bsa, Skyrim-voices.bsa, Skyrim-VoicesExtra.bsa, Skyrim.esm, Update.bsa, Update.esm. When I click on the bsa, esp, esm files it pops up “Windows cannot open this file” and the usual “do you want to find a program to open?” The CastleGrey and Hideout are the only steam mods and are working. I deleted all the NMM Thepal mods, un-installed and re-installed NMM to the default C:/programfiles/NexusModManager. And the default “associate NMM, FOMOD, OMOD, .NXM files & NXM URLs, checked. On setup it installed to default Mod Directory: c:\Games\Skyrim\Mods & Install Info: c:\Games\Skyrim\Install Info. Starting from scratch, I went to the manual download of “Nude females v1-5” Manually downloaded from DC server (closer to me). It downloads as a 7zip. After it downloaded it flashed that “Windows cannot open this file.” the usual prompt. I do have the 7-Zip File manager, though. So I went to my Start menu, pulled that download and pasted it on my desktop. I’m wondering if I should move it into my 7zip file manager icon. When I would download this mod straight to NMM, it would sometimes stall at 70%, and somehow it took a few times showing successfully activated, but wouldn’t show in the NMM plug-ins, or the steam start menu Data file. Alternatively, I tried a comparable manual download to my desktop in case this one does not work. This one came as a compressed zip. A different mod called “Flawless nude Females” by 1b9jOk3. This is on my desktop, and when opened, it shows the files in folders plus a readme. Files: Base, 5 folders of…well, "adult" options for the install (which I don’t think I should post, but they are there), an “HD” folder and then the “Readme” file. Under the Base file, it opens to Data, then two folders of Meshes & Textures. Meshes opens to characters and Assets and then to 2 ‘femalebody.nif” files. Same with Textures but with three “.nif” files. The “HD” folder opens through the same way, leading to “.dds” files. So, I’m guessing this manual mod download came intact. I think the first mod did as well, but somehow needs to be run through the 7zip manager. I’m not sure. I don't know if I need to extract either one of these from my desktop (for the zipped one) or through the 7zip manager (for the 7zip file). None have been added to NMM yet but it doesn't matter to me as to which of these two I could successfully activate. -
NMM first attempt at mods not activating
SuperAxilla replied to SuperAxilla's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Seem to be coming in different folders. Other mods are "activatining" and showing in the plug-ins & data folder. I haven't had a chance to check the game yet to see. But one where "Lidia's" image changed worked, albeit it didn't look anything like the pictures shown from the author. Perhaps a texture problem. The successful mods are coming in compressed zip files. I manually downloaded the one "nude females" by Thepal and it comes as a blank doc, saying 7zip. Now I tried another one "Flawless" by another author, and this came as a compressed zip. But oddly enough, when trying to activate, it will say successfully activated but will not show in the plug-ins or data field. So, I'm trying two of the same basic concept of mods that I really wanted, and they came in two different folder types. Think god's trying to tell me something? It must be something about textures, meshes, etc.. I'm running as admin, I've enabled "adult", and I'm thinking that maybe I might have to manually insert each part of the file into its correct path. Somehow. @daxxad, I tried it. Was able to uninstall and re-install, but cannot find a "older with downloads in the NMM directory". Bit stumped on that one. Where should I look for it? -
NMM first attempt at mods not activating
SuperAxilla replied to SuperAxilla's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well, I downloaded Boss. It recognized the game apparently. I ran the NMM as admin. Added the two steam mods. Install directly of the Nexus mod went to 70% and then said Unable to install at the download screen at bottom. So, I manually downloaded the mod to my desktop, opened NMM and loaded the file. That seemed to somewhat work. It flashed the prompt "Mod successfully activated". But, it still does not show up under plug-ins and on the TES V menu, it the Data file contains only the two steam mods. The NMM shows the two steam mods under pug-ins. I tried downloading a few other Nexus mods to see if they would work and basically the same thing happens. Most are unable to be downloaded straight through NMM, but some do get activated with the same result. Prompt shows "Mod successfully activated", yet does not appear under plug-ins or the menu Data file. When I go into the Data file under Steam-apps on my computer it shows these mods there, but somehow it isn't transferring completely to the game. It is the latest version of NMM 0.16.4 ( I think that's it). I have the 7zip program, but none of the Nexus mods downloaded are coming in plain compressed zip format. -
NMM first attempt at mods not activating
SuperAxilla replied to SuperAxilla's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thanks, that makes sense. I was using only two mods straight from steam. Then after I uninstalled everything (unsubscribed to the Steam mods) and then re-installed NMM, there were no mods at all from steam or NMM (which I couldn't get any to run through NMM even though it said "activated"). Sounds like the older version is a bit more sound. I now don't have a "Data" file under steam-apps, I'm guessing because I cleared all the mods. I'll try this link. And maybe if I add more mods through steam, maybe it'll activate something in the NMM. -
NMM first attempt at mods not activating
SuperAxilla replied to SuperAxilla's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Eh, it crashed. There must must be some serious bugs or something. Uninstalled and re-installed several times. Uninstalled TESV and Steam & re-installed. The NMM re-install now comes up with an error message about a "Boss" file being before the master game file. Getting a headache. -
NMM first attempt at mods not activating
SuperAxilla replied to SuperAxilla's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thanks, I think it was an esp or esm, and I did see the textures folder under the apps-data. What I did notice in the tutorial vids were showing zip files, while this didn't come out as a zip. I'll play around with it and see if I can overwrite. I'm guessing I couldn't extract anything because the download wasn't in a zip format. (strange). -
So, I'm running on a brand new PC. My two mods directly from steam run fine. Beautifully, in fact. But, using the NMM, I'm running into some problems. I've tried several tutorials and maybe I'm missing something. Anyway, the two mods I tried to implement are "adult" Sorry ladies. I know  So, it showed under mods and both had errors in the download at the very bottom that said incomplete. I tried the manual download and it did the same. At one point a pop up flashed that said "successfully activated", yet it was not reflected in the game. I assume these to be simple mods, so I must be missing something. The author of one said to extract the file into "steam-apps-common-data" file under Computer x86 files (something like that). I found that folder, but I do not see where it is possible to extract it into the folder. Would appreciate any advice. Maybe someone has encountered this before and there is something vital I'm missing here.

Well, I haven't tried it yet. And I haven't played on "insanity", so I might not be that great, but I do want to try it.

Great. Poor Steam. FYI, there is also an alert out on phonecalls from people claiming to be from Microsoft. They will try to get you on your PC and somehow grab all your info. the strange thing about it, is that they are contacting by phone.

Looking for new books to read...need suggestions.
SuperAxilla replied to Draco856's topic in Off-Topic
Patrick Rothfuss "Name of the Wind" is good (my favorite). You might like the "Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan. Depending on your "inner Child, you may get a kick out of Piers Anthony's "Xanth" series (which I think is over 25 books in what was supposed to be a trilogy). More commercially, George R.R. Martins Game of Thrones may be a good bet. I have a draft (for a first in a series) in edit you might like & I would appreciate some feedback, but it's in the editing stage so it is by no means sound. -
Just completed ME1. That was pretty good considering I ran into a few frustrating glitches. Nothing too bad though. So, I get up this morning and an e-newsletter from Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/news/mass-effect-3-falsely-advertised-says-bbb-6371157) says the Better Business Bureau slammed ME3 for false advertising. Pretty wild. I think they've suffered enough. Maybe I'm biased. But I got ME3 and I liked it so much within the first few hours, I stopped to get 1 & 2. And I can't emphasize enough how much I really hate futuristic space-like games (I'm more of a real-time or retro medieval fantasy player). So for me to like Mass Effect is pretty scary, like saying the world is now a triangular shape instead of a sphere. First the cupcakes (after Dr. Muzyk publicly announced a new/more complex ending will be released, then the homosexual content bashing from that group in Florida (honestly, look at where we are today and tell me 100 years from now, that nothing will advance for the G/L community, thus making this content in the game pretty normal/realistic and regardless of prejudice, Bioware took a bold step to cater to and allow our fellow gamers who live in a generation where lifestyle choices are more accepted, to enjoy this game) = one long run-on sentence. TES V & The Witcher 2 are basically the same way to an extent. I don't get it and I kind of do. But reading the article, Stephens (the blogger for the BBB) takes the quotes from the ads "experience the beginning, middle, and end of an emotional story unlike any other, where the decisions you make completely shape your experience and outcome." and deems them to be false, as these are "absolute statements" as she words it. After playing all three, the ad statement rings a bit true. But I can see where she gets it out of ME3. The RPG factor is limited to an extent in just ME3. Then the ad quote: "Along the way, your choices drive powerful outcomes, including relationships with key characters, the fate of entire civilizations, and even radically different ending scenarios." debunked by Stephens saying the outcome is not "wholly determined determined by one's choices." I'm thinking that basically is a statement on the Mass Effect trilogy in its entirety. But the endings are quite the same still, even though the players previous choices made, are factored in to the ending, so in my opinion, Biowares statement rings with some truth. Building on ME2 and 3, they made the decisions an important factor when playing 3, but they had to be limited to an extent in order to complete the "trilogy". When are ad statements ever completely true for the most part? Tons of companies advertise claims that are not "absolute". It's advertising. But I hate to see such a great game get so beat up like it has. It's already filling the "#1 Game of the Year" slots for 2012 so far. In the past 3 weeks, I've played ME1 once, ME2 three times, and about to play through 3 a second time. So I'm having really getting more than my money's worth out of them. While it does have its issues, (and Bioware is actually listening to the fans and doing something about it) I just feel like it's getting too much negativity for such a great game. I'm sure many disagree with my opinions on this, and I completely respect that. So, now I'll step down from my "virtual soapbox".

Neat. Probably a lot of lawsuits will ensue from this. Like the little computers they put in new cars that allow the driver to search the web. That seems like it could be worse than texting while driving. But with these glasses...does that mean I won't need lasik eye surgery?

Just came in two weeks ago. These are some parts that I can point to & identify :wallbash: Hoping to learn more and upgrade. Thermaltake Level 10 GT (black-colorshift fans - blue/green/purple + neon strips) (room for 4 more HD's) HD1: 2 TB SATA III with Vigor iSurf II Cooling system HD2: 60GB ADATA SSD i7 3820 Quad w/Asetek 510 LC 16GB (4x4) DDR3/1600MHz Quad Kingston HyperX Mobo:Gigabyte X79-UD3 X79 Chipset Quad Channel DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ UEFI DualBIOS (3 way SLI) AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 16X PCIe 3.0 1000w Raidmax power supply (probably upgrade) Monitor: 27" Sceptre 1920 x 1080 LCD Sound: HD 7.1 on board (just have speakers hooked up) Keyboard: Cheap Thermaltake Challenger Windows 7 HP 64 Mouse: Coolermaster Storm Inferno (until the Thermaltake M 10 is released) Normally just use the 360 controller And....a lot of extra small junk that I'll probably never use  Getting ready to add an Arctic Accelero Xtreme 7970 to the AMD card and install an AeroCool V12XT touchscreen. Maybe add a better SSD when the prices drop a bit. I'm also thinking of getting an Antek Skeleton Chassis to begin learning how to build my own. It looks like an easy open way to build.
-
Yeah, the two standards seem to cover the whole card but the three leave no gaps. If I add this Arctic accelero, it'll be interesting to see if really does drop the temp as much as they claim.
