  1. So I have recently started modding Skyrim after being sick of vanilla. I have noticed something that is really starting to irk me. I find a mod that I like and under requirements that requires one other mod. Ok fine. I go to that mod page and I find that one of those mods requires TWO other mods. I go to one of those mod pages and those require THREE mods. Its getting riciculous. So my question is this; Why in 2024 are we not packaging mods up into bundles to allow the end user (remember those people. they are the ones downloading YOUR mods) to only have to download one mod instead of 50? It just seems silly. They are not claiming ownership of your mod they are just making it simple for the mod user to get on with playing the game.
  2. When you have a full time job and real adult stuff to deal with. yes it is.
  3. Well there was that one time when my toilet wouldnt flush.... Yeah I know it sounds nit picky but I dunno, I'm weird about stuff like that in my RPG's I guess.
  4. So I have noticed that every time I go into the mods page, I have to adjust my settings to exclude translations. anime etc. but it doesn't seem to save. is there a reason for that or is there something I am missing? What I am asking (to be specific) is if there is a way to tell the site that I do not wish to see this sort of content?
  5. I just want fridges that look like actual fridges instead of looking like somewhere you would store urine samples.
  6. "A witty saying proves nothing"- Voltaire. See I can do it too. Everything on Nexus being free is irrelevant. Imagine if someone gave you a coffee table and it only had two legs instead of four. They explain to you that they didnt have time to finish it but you could still have it. What would be the point? My point, and its a big flashing one that people keep somehow missing, is that if you are going to start a project, make sure you have enough time and resources to get it done, if you dont, hand it off to someone who can finish the job. What is happening sadly, is people are starting projects then real life gets in the way and sadly because they have permissions turned off, nobody is allowed to merge, or take over the mod. So its just sits their unfinished forever. Someone else now has to start a brand new version from scratch rather than picking up where the other person left off. Its a waste. I cant fix something if im not allowed to use the assets can I? Think McFly Think!
  7. Homophobia - Because I disagree with someone's life choice? Really? Transphobia - Because I believe in the rule of science and that its a mental illness. K. Just because you put a superman costume on it doesn't mean you can fly. Racism - No Idea where you got that one from but ok chief. Victimization - Yes because I wont to hold people accountable for their actions - move over Hitler I guess? Raging sense of entitlement - Come on sunshine you're gonna have to do better than that.
  8. My lack of compassion hahah don't make me laugh. This site allows child killing mods, full on porn mods but removing homosexual content and gender bullshit is where they draw the line? Dont talk to me about compassion. To answer your first question, if the person has not used their account in over 6 months (possibly a year) then YES everything gets deleted. Who decides what constitutes a working mod? What kind of stupid question is that. it either works or it doesn't. I'm sure you can ask the authors of SKYUI what happened to that mod. If you cannot finish a mod, either hand it off to someone who has the time and resources to finish it and/or delete it. It really isn't that hard. The road to hell, as they say is paved with good intentions. That doesn't get the job done. The problem is they half finish a mod and then put a disclaimer on that wont let anyone merge even if they haven't finished it. meanwhile, I have to navigate through a minefield of half finished, broken mods. the author is off doing whatever and hasn't given anyone else a second thought at this point. it really isn't any of my concern that Bob the mod author is now sitting at home in his underpants watching daytime TV eating cereal out of a shoe and crying non stop because his girlfriend ran off with a Jamaican man who's penis was bigger than his and they took the dog with them and his only friend Garfield the cat got ran over by the mailman yesterday. I dont care. Where is the compassion for the end user?
  9. That doesn't fix the issue. Say for example I want to search for a basic needs mod. and the first one in the search has been discontinued/abandoned by the author. There is no way of me unseeing that mod so now I have to remember that the mod has been abandoned/doesn't work. On top of that most authors do not permit the reupload in part or in whole of their mod so its now useless to anyone who wants to improve on it. A classic example of this is the SkuUI mod. it doesn't work properly as of Bethesda's latest AE upgrade. What did the mod author do? Nothing. They just left it as it was. It now requires 3 separate mods on top to fix the issues. My point is, if youre (god forbid) dead or otherwise not coming back for the mod what do you care if it gets removed?
  10. Oh my god you're absolutely right! I mean its not like they could set something up like your email account where in a situation that you dont log in for 6 months top a year your account gets deleted and all your content goes with it....no that would NEVER work and yes you should delete your mods because.... THEY DONT WORK! Its not up to other people to fix YOUR mess sunshine. Dont start something you cant finish.
  11. This is my first time posting on here as I dont normally bother with forums these days. So with the release of the CK for Starfield I understand this is going to break a lot of mods. I have a simple request. If you are no longer intending to support your mods, whether adult life caught up with you or simply because you didnt want to carry on, I would kindly ask that you delete the mod. It is increasingly frustrating to come across a mod that I like the sound of only to find out the author has left it half finished and unplayable. Just get rid of it. The second reason I am asking you to do this is because, for some weird reason, Nexus will not let me hide mods I dont wish to see. I have no idea why they refuse to add this feature as it would stop non working mods from coming up in my search feed. Anyways thanks for making it this far. Rant over.
