  1. I think it's been well over a year and a half since I last played Oblivion and I'm looking to start a new game. I think it's high time I focus on a different Elder Scrolls game rather than playing a new playthrough of Skyrim for the hundredth time haha. I'm looking for recs for new-ish 'must have' mods for oblivion that have been created within the last year or two - preferably follower or quest mods - but I might be being a bit picky there. Even texture mods, new races, great creature followers, that kinda stuff, would be great. Not expecting there to be a massive amount amount since I last played but anything new-ish and interesting created around 2014-ish and over would be much appreciated. As I tend to float around this website for most of my mods any recs for mods outside the nexus it (created within the last year or so) would be very welcome as well. Thanks!
  2. I've seen a few of yours before but never got round to using them like many other followers. I'm in the mood for a laugh and MHARPHIN and Benjamin look perfect to drag around in my current playthrough. thanks for the reminder!
  3. Having yet another play through of Skyrim and looking for recs for a certain type of dlc sized mods. Although I've been aware of it for some time, I only recently got around to playing Skyrim - Discworld Alpha 0.1 (a mod based on the world by Terry Pratchet) and had an absolute blast with it. Despite being in early alpha the writing and dialogue were great and there was more than enough content to keep me playing for hours. Basically what I'm asking for are recs for dlc and quest sized mods with humor and silliness. It can be non-lore or lore friendly - I don't care. I don't even mind if it's half finished (e.g. discworld) so long as it's got humor in it. If it breaks my game, well, this is the reason I both back up my saves and create seperate profiles with Mod Organizer. I'm not really looking to be a serious, lore-friendly dragon-born this time around, so any recs would be appreciated. Thanks!
  4. Actually, Vath Firehall looks pretty promising. Just had a look at the forum posts and it seems the mod author is about to add voice acting in very soon so might hold out downloading until its added. thanks. :) Haha, I agree. Not holding my breath though.
  5. Hello I've started a new game recently and am looking for opinions on male follower mods that are romanceable. There arent many though they do exist, as in, the only one's I'm aware of are Darius in Anna NPC's and the various male followers on offer in interesting npcs. While I've dabbled with both mods and found both great I havent really explored everything they have to offer. I definately haven't tried any romance features. Guess what I'm asking for is opinions, for those that have used these mods, which romanaceable male followers offer the most depth as far as romance goes, character, personality - that kinda stuff, though I'm definately not expecting Vilja or Anduniel levels of character depth. If anyone knows of any more please throw it out there! Again, though, not expecting it and pretty sure those I mentioned above are it. Just mostly looking for opinions on those followers that do exist. thanks!
  6. Hello, I hope I've put this question in the right section, but apologies if I havent. I've been looking around the internet before I posted this but I haven't really found the answer to what I was looking for. This is a question directed mostly at Morrowind mod users who tend to use multiple companion/quest mods in addition to the Morrowind Overhaul. Although I've played through both Oblivion and SKyrim I have had very little need or want to install texture mods or to improve the graphics. I am, however, someone who loves to use multiple companion and quest mods in my playthrough. So far I've been pretty lucky and have managed to fix or overcome most conflicts. Initially the same was going to be true for Morrowind, with the exception of better bodies and better heads. I'm quite happy to play through Morrowind with the outdated graphics but I'm finding myself very tempted to try out Morrowind Overhaul after viewing some youtube clips. As I said before, though, I'm a big user of companion and quest mods to enhance my gameplay. If Morrowind Overhaul is going to leave me unable to use these mods then I'll stick to the outdated graphics. What I'm asking for is basically a general opinion of users experiences in using ANY companion (i.e. Julan, Jasmine, Constance, Laura Craft etc) and ANY quest mods (i.e. Tamriel Rebuilt/ White Wolf of Lokkun Mountain) in addition to Morrowind Overhaul. Minor conflicts arent a problem, but If using these altogether is going to just be a total write off of a game, well, it'll save me downloading 2gig for nothing. I'll use the Morrowind Overhaul for my next playthrough without any other mods to interfere. Any opinions would be very much appreciated.
  7. Thank you, thank you THANKYOU. I'd almost given up on Dawnguard after hours of trying to find a solution. It worked. Edit2: I'm going to add my own little bit because as soon as I entered the throneroom there was: 1. No Arch-Curate Vyrthur on the throne. 2: An Invisible wall blocking further exploration. Unfortunately, this trick skips the entire throneroom scenario with the Arch-Curate, but it DID help me finish "touching the sky" quest. ALso keep in mind this is just how I did it, so it might not be exactly how you COULD do it. SAVE before you try it. Hope this helps someone stuck like I was. 1. Follow addisonwilson instructions above. 2. Upon entering the throneroom with the frozen falmers (if there is NO ARCH-CURATE on the throne) enter the console and type "SetStage DLC1VQ07 120" . This forces the previous quest to finish and the 'Confront the ArchCurate" quest to appear. A map marker should appear on the map just past the doors. 3. Now, in regards to the invisible wall, enter the console again and type "tlc" . The command places you into "no clipping" mode. Walk through the wall and doors and you should appear on the balcony. 4. Hopefully, if it's worked, Serana and the Arch-Curate should be at the very end of the balcony that overlooks the Forgotten Veil. THey should be having a conversation when you arrive. Continue as normal and close up "Touching the Sky". Seems to be working fine after that from what I've done so far. Hopefully this will help someone. Although Skyrim is buggy even at the best of times, Dawnguard was almost unplayable at certain points.
  8. Kind of an odd request, however while I genuinely like the 'idea' of Vampirism in Oblivion and Skyrim, the reality is a miserable failure. I find it an absolutely horrific experience in both games. In Skyrim, I cured myself and quickly changed into a werewolf, because I liked the idea of being a supernatural creature of sorts (I read far to many books which are Anne-Rice-like, haha). In Oblivion there is no such option - you are either a vampire or nothing at all. Is there are mod for Oblivion out there that would, say, allow you to fast-travel during the day? Or walk around without harmful affects of the sunlight? Basically any recs for a vampire mod that would make vampirism bearable but still be a 'vampire'. a lot of mods I've come accross do major overhauls to being a vampire without toning down the drawbacks to being one, if that makes sense. Thanks!
