For me, I am asking about Baldur's Gate 3. For some reason, Vortex always wants to put everything on my "C:" drive. I managed to figure out how to move the other 2 folders, but the "game mods" folder location is still on my "C:" drive. Baldsur's gate 3, and steam are on my "E:" drive. I run a very small SDD "C:" drive, and I try to only keep the OS on it.

Hey all. I am having an issue. I get some error "Application is unable to start" the 0000142 one. Now, this isn't limited to SKSE, but I have had no luck anywhere else. There are only 3 things so far that are effected. Chrome, Nvidia geforce experience, and SkSE. I can see no connection between the 3 of them other than the obvious, somthing graphical, but that hasn't helped me solve this issue. Anyone have any suggestions?

I see all these people talking about the game freezing once they go back in time I don't make it that far even, mine just freezes after the flash of light. It comes back and there is the swirly vision effect, and I can do nothing except pan the camera. Now, I know I have a ton of mods installed, and it HAS to be one of them, but I don't know where to start. Some of them make my game unplayable, so any chance someone else already figured this out and can point me in the right direction?

for anyone who is a modder, the beauty of perspective mod technique seems like it could be adapted to fix this. I just know I lack the skills to do it myself. :thumbsup:

I have a lot of mods installed, most involve body mods, and graphical things like higher rez textures and the like. I only have a few other ones, and I hate to mention the whole list here, as it's extensive, and I have no idea how to copy/paste it. If someone tells me how, I can post it. my issue however, is that when I am in first person view and using magic, my one hand (either the right or left) will be in the center of the screen most of the time, and when using archery, the hands will completely block the cross-hairs at times. I have a head-tracking mod, but it was deactivated when this started, I have no archery related mods at all installed. I do have Fore's animations and a few things of that nature, and I suspect they are somehow related. if anyone has any clues or help, please let me know. I am one of those people that reads the readme.txt and follows it explicitly, and I have never heard of this, or found a similar issue anywhere in my search. help?

sadly, this hasn't fixed it for me, and Bethesda has been useless. They keep asking for my dxdiag files, which I keep sending. I bought it thorough steam, and I verify my files every day, still nothing. my prefs file didn't have a launcher line. I added it, but it still doesn't work. It also checks the graphics every time it launches, and sets it to medium but it changes nothing. It also loads the launcher even if I click on the game file instead of the launcher. I'm going crazy here. I purchased dawnguard and it's unplayable without the data files. I really need som help here.

My game randomly CTD when I am playing. I am only running 3/4 mods. multiple esm for mods makes it a little fuzzy. I have: Lings shop Jessie max level workaround wasteland mastery Weapon mod kits (all) I use FOSE, and I use fo3edit. I read the readme's. I follow detailed instructions. I even read the manual for fo3edit, which is longer than war and peace. no matter what I do, I still get random CTD wandering the wilderness, or (more commonly) when entering or exiting the following 3 areas : megaton, tenpenny tower, rivet city. I don't feel like I'm asking a lot of the game to run these couple mods. I have an AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor with 4g memory and 2 sli 9800gt vid cards. And since this may be related, sometimes the bottom half of the screen gets weird, like, it moves around independently of the top half (only when playing fallout 3) I have removed all of these mods individually and still have the issues. Help?
