if you compare these two websites: google.com, and yahoo.co.jp the new design is definitely closer to the "saturated"/Yahoo side. In other words I agree with etayorius that it is quite saturated, but a lot of people really do like seeing everything at once, it's the old "How much empty space is good?" I am okay with a more saturated design IF it is clearly easy to navigate and intuitive. The way it is now with latest files/images available in both the main area and on the right panel, but FOTM is only in one place and out of the way, is not intuitive to me, and not easy to navigate for a 1st impression user. Also, as we the regular users are familiar with the site, the complexity isn't too overwhelming and it takes a moment to get our bearings, but for a new user it's definitely overwhelming with way too much going on at once and not a clear way of how to navigate around the site.

Regarding the previous suggestion to merge the New Files and New Images into one tab: I don't think I'd like that, I have zero interest in the new images, or any images, but a lot of interest in the new files. Also, if my previous (very repped-up) suggestion is implemented, of putting the MOTM/FOTM into the tab-ribbon, allowing for the right panel to be removed or at least much smaller, then there will be a lot of place for all the icons in the ribbon. That right panel could easily be 1 icon width to give more real-estate to the center area, which users can set to display what they like, so the thing they want to see will have more coverage. However, having the right panel gone entirely with all of its content available in the tabs of the center area would be best I imagine. Maximum only-see-what-you-want action. ________ edit: I also still believe that FOTM is in a super horrible position, since it moved the vote-rate dropped like a pile of bricks. Trust me I've been watching it with intense anticipation! It's like FOTM became the Nexus' shameful uncle who it has to acknowledge but not be associated with. all the way in the bottom off to the side with no pictures (only mod links on the entire site with no thumbs, ouch, slap in the face)

Oh I have an idea! Having "Latest Files" and "Latest Images" both in the ribbon of the main section AND on the right panel feels redundant. Since FOTM is the only thing that isn't in the ribbon, why not move FOTM into the ribbon, and widen that main section by getting rid of the right panel since everything in the right panel will also exist in the main section? And that way the main section can be wider, showing more content people actually wanna see (depending on what people set in their preferences) and less of what they don't want to see. If you do that, the FOTM section could not only show current files but also previous winners in that main section, along with thumbnails, which based on the +reps on my last post in here is something people would like to see :) waddaya think?

fotm sure seems to have gotten the shaft In this layout, off to the side and at the bottom and no nice thumbnail like every other mod everywhere on the site i vote not shafting fotm please

okay colors used to work with hex codes like this [ color=00aa11 ] but now you have to do [ color=#00aa11 ] figured it out that's why *all* my desc went white >< good to know :P

I gotta agree with Calen, an opt-out would be great, Remember that your target audience is people who like to tweak and modify the things they like and they rarely like uncustomized things!

oh and about the front page, just choose friends that post well and track interesting mods and it looks nice

Hello, I searched on google and the CK site, didn't find what I was looking for. I need to be able to set game settings like fActorSwimBreathDamage or fPlayerMaxResistance from a script ... hopefully any help would be much appreciated!! :) Moved to the Skyrim Mod Author's forum. --TNL :thumbsup:

With the focus on Vampires and Werewolves, and them getting their own perk trees in the DLC, how about if the nexus site adds a "Vampire and Werewolf" category? There are already quite a few mods dealing with these, it would be nice to have them in one place, now they are kind of scattered :)

what a ridiculous thread ... if anything the ideas they introduce will be the birth of a lot of mods which try to introduce TES:O mechanics.

@hideinlight I think if i tried to incorporate every mod I like into 1 game it would definitely be overwhelming, but trying different mods at a time, or in different playthroughs is a nice way to do it :)
