  1. My suggestion is not getting much attention. Does this mean it is a bad idea? Has someone already done this and I don't know about it? Please help. Thanks
  2. Hi Everybody, So there are Police Stations throughout the Commonwealth, right? Yes, there are quests that take you to many, if not all, of them to collect holotapes and piece together a certain individual's shared backstory with a long lived unrepentant criminal. That being said: Where are all the cop cars? How come we have no S.W.A.T. vans or paddy-wagons to loot? (Yes, I know it takes mods to be able to do this, see below) Did I miss these in-game? Or, more likely, do they not exist in game until one of the Mod Wizards who reside here decides to do some really convoluted stuff and make a spell that puts these vehicles in-game? I am not a modder, have a novice understanding of how they are created and don't really understand the intricate details of it all. I am seeking understanding. Sure, we get those big ugly ass street sweeper / zamboni looking vehicles that I think are meant to represent (and fail miserably at) city works vehicles. They look like the smaller one that you find inside dungeon cells. I think those are meant to represent floor waxers or big vacuum cleaners or steam cleaners or something. They look the same to me, big or small. Are there lore-based reasons why all the cop cars and other city vehicles, I'm thinking garbage trucks here, and firetrucks now that I think about it, are not in the playable environment? Did the survivors of the immediate impact on Judgement Day take all working emergency vehicles to the outskirts of the city in order to survive out in the woods and that is why there are none of these vehicles left in the playable area? So far in my travels through 2 play-throughs in the Commonwealth, I have seen beat up cars, vans, tractor-trailer trucks, pickup trucks and Trains. Also some construction equipment and specialty farming equipment, as well as some military vehicles such as A.P.C.s, Tanks and Aircraft. I have not seen Cop Cars, Firetrucks, S.W.A.T. vans and/or Paddy-Wagons, Military Jeeps/Hummers, and probably a couple other few that I am forgetting at the current moment. (I may update this list later as I think of them) Can anyone explain if it is feasible to create a mod that adds any or all of these vehicles? And if they could possibly contain loot? I have been using Vehicle Salvage by spligitmoose for this effect of looting cars and this mod got me thinking about why I don't see any cop cars, because I wanted to loot any shotguns that might still be in them, then I realized that SV does not give you weapons as loot, only junk and stuff. Oh well, the seed of the idea remained and that is why I am bringing it to you guys. Please share your thoughts: SatansPooper
  3. Hello Everybody, This is the first time I am posting to the Nexus Forums, so please excuse any novice mistakes, As you have read in the Topic Title, I have an idea for a mod that I would like to see and use. I think it is reasonable that SS can use bubblegum found out in the Commonwealth as adhesive in Settlement workshops and crafting benches. I do not know how difficult it would be to create a mod or patch to allow this ingame. This mod does not have to make bubblegum the OP adhesive providing material, maybe if it gave 1 adhesive for every 1 or 2 bubblegums broken down? I envision being out on walkabout, or on a quest mission and needing adhesive to mod a newly acquired weapon or armor piece at a convenient workbench. What is a SS to do in this situation? Right now we can keep paddling up S.O.L. creek, cuz we got nadda. I'd like to be able to chew that gum and use it while soft and sticky to mod my item. That would add to my Immersion and make me feel all MacGuyver-ey. And who doesn't want to feel like MacGuyver while playing F4? Especially while crafting a B.A. weapon or armor piece. It makes sense in a Lore-Friendly manner, and I think would add to my gameplay experience. I hope it is as simple as it sounds so that I get to see this become real. If feasible, please let me know. I am not a modder, I just have some ideas about mods I would like to use. Thanks Guys and Gals, SatansPooper
