  1. I hate it when you spend dozens of hours on a profile working hard, just for something to come along and mess up progression. Even more strange that console commands don't work. It's what I usually do (use console commands) if I encounter a broken quest. Anyway, I've got rid of Mart's Debloatifier and started a new game. I'm going to try and work on this profile now. Hopefully the new game will mean things will run better where mods are concerned, assuming I don't change anything. I just hope to god that it works now, even with a new game. I'll still keep my other profile around just in case a solution might appear.
  2. I'm level 29. I'm fairly certain that is high enough. I'm not sure if Requiem changes it by default though. I have BOSSed my mods and pasted the userlist that it suggested for the unofficial patches. All my mods have been cleaned as per the instructions, except Guard Dialogue Overhaul which says it should not be. With regards to Marts debloatifier, I've had it for a while and have managed to trigger the Dragonborn quest fine in the past with it. Although that now it is outdated I've now removed it and tried again. After all of the above, the Dragonborn quest still refuses to trigger. I hope something hasn't gone seriously wrong, but like I've said, back in the past I've managed to start the quest fine even with Marts Debloatifier activated unless it has decided to break my game now. So yeah, I've BOSSed my mods, updated the unofficial patches and put them in the right places using the userlist BOSS said. Still nothing when I kill the cultists.
  3. I've encountered a strange situation that, when I encounter the cultists after the quest "Way of the Voice", there is no journal update after killing them. Nothing to tell me to search the cultists when I kill them and not when I read the cultist orders that are on one of the cultists. They walk up to me, talk to me, but the dialogue does not end automatically when they finish their last line to initiate battle. It just hangs with the dialogue ption box there after the cultist says their last line while their partner proceeds to attack me, so I have to back out of the dialogue manually. Whether or not that is related I don't know, but what is happening is that the "Dragonborn" quest does not start upon reading the orders. I've tried console commands such as setstage , but nothng happens there either. No journal update, nothing. After doing setstage DLC2MQ01 10 to bypass it, I don't get any journal entry updates related to the quest "Dragonborn". Even after doing all that businesses with setstage, doing "sqs DLC2MQ01" still has every stage set to 0 despite me typing "setstage DLC2MQ01 10" beforehand . DLC2WE09, which from what I've found involves the cultists vs player encounter, has every stage on 0 even when I have killed them and read the orders also. I've tried searching the forums for similar situations and haven't had much luck. I have no idea what could be causing the quest to not trigger at all despite killing the cultists and reading the orders after the Way of The Voice. Obviously the cultists appear as they should do, but nothing after that like I've said. I don't know why my efforts to bypass it via console aren't working either, although I could just be doing something wrong there. It could be a mod, but I've tried removing potentially problematic mods as well unless I've missed something there as well. I've put so much time and effort into it already that it seems a damn shame to not be able to progress with the DLC.
  4. The Immersive Creatures Burnt Spriggan embers ID doesn't work for me. Even using the bat file doesn't work. Damn this is driving me mad...
  5. So far I have received no luck in trying to find a solution so far. Any other topics that have been made with a relevance to this one have had no responses, and the mod authors have had no luck in knowing what is wrong exactly, as it is suggested that it is a problem not linked to individual mods exactly. So I'm trying my luck here again at seeing if anyone might have an idea what could be the problem. So more to the point, music (battle and general) has not been playing since I have installed some sound mods and music overhaul mods. One time, I have indeed managed to get the problem I have described fixed once, but I can't remember how exactly as it was some time ago. This was with all my other mods I had installed, and I haven't installed any new ones since then, just updated. This leads me to believe it could be a load order problem, or something else I am missing that is related to load orders or otherwise. If anyone could give some friendly insight into what needs to be loaded where to get battle music and general wandering music playing again, I'd be grateful for it. Of course, if it is anything else that needs to be done besides/as well as load orders, again I'd appreciate any help. Thanks  On a side note, sounds effects work just fine, and the little music clips that play when you discover an area or the sounds that play when you explore a cave/dungeon work fine also. Sounds of Skyrim mods work just fine in this regard.
  6. Wow, no one replied to this yet? I was going to ask something along the same lines, but searched first to see if anyone already asked it. I really wish there was something that could be done, say a long quest with an Amnesia like feel to it. Remove your weapons and ability to punch, give you clothes instead of armour, force first person and make it where you can die in the same number of hits just like the monsters in the game can. Oh, and speaking of monsters, the quest has to obviously have the servant grunts and brutes in of course :) and make the quest a very scary experience like the game. Like Sheogorath's quest. You could be teleported to some strange place, with no ability to do damage and are forced to wear clothes like the quest did. Shame I wasn't a modder, or else I would have been doing this already :)
  7. Well you see, if I have designed a character that is supposed to be "aged", I don't like him sounding like someone who is 20 :) For my profile, it just doesn't seem right.
  8. Anyone? I can't believe no one can help me here :( Please?
  9. Hi there. I've started to notice more as times goes on just how the male voices just don't seem deep enough. Not for me anyways. Is there any voice mod that deepens male voices? If not, could someone point me in the right direction and tell me how I can make my own? Not creating new voices all together, just editing the existing ones. Hopefully I can just extract them, edit them in Audacity and put them back. But I don't know what files I should be using exactly to just alter male voices, so any help would be more than welcome :)
  10. Since I have restarted my PC since, I'll try again with another Dwemer ruin. Hopefully I'll be attacked then. I'll add an edit on this post if it does work again.
  11. Hello. I seem to have this bug where Dwarven Centurions refuse to attack me. They walk up to me, but just stop right there. No steam attacks, no melee attacks, nothing. Alas, Its a shame, since I like having battles with challenging enemies. It just takes out the fun when they don't fight back. Does anyone else have this issue? I've searched everywhere and only found 1 person who seems to have the issue, and that's it. I fear there won't be a fix to this, but if I am wrong and there is a fix, I'd more than appreciate in hearing it  On a relevant side note, when I spawn centurions with the console, they attack me no problem. It just seems to be the ones that were already placed in the game in the first place that don't attack. I've tried reloading saves all the way back for my profile, but to no avail
  12. I became aware that it was changing back when I realised it was still saying it was activated. I figured it out soon enough like, so i removed the d3dx9.dll that came with it. ENB was working with my patch at one point, so the ENB is not out of date. I just removed the dll since it was keep reverting my sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M line to sD3DDevice="ENB". That's where I tried to put in a new dll, which was where the trouble with Skyrim started. The launcher had a problem before this however. Anyway, I got Skyrim working again at least with a d3dx9_42 eventually. Works perfectly now. No blue screens, no poor performance thank god.
  13. I installed realistic lighting as an alternative to help smooth my gameplay as opposed to ENB. I have the files still just in case I sort out the wider issue: getting Skyrim to work. I actually in fact re installed ENB with the exact settings as last time when it was running and giving me acceptable frame rates a couple of days ago. When I went to play Skyrim again, expecting the same performance as last time, I started getting poor performance even with the exact same settings as last time. Anyway, I'll just find a more up to date dll like you said earlier and see if that does it. Need to find one first though. What is the difference between d3dx9.dll and d3dx9_43.dll for example? 43 is what I used when it was working when everything was updated. But that just gives me a blue screen now. Edit: Nevermind. I found a d3dx9_42.dll and that seems to have done the trick. Got Skyrim up and running without the poor performance problem prior to this blue screen business.
  14. I already had the most up to date versions. I wanted to remove ENB, so I uninstalled it along with all the other lingering files such as the dll that came with it. What I need is a working and up to date dll more than likely.
  15. SKSE is updated in accordance with the version of Skyrim I have. 1.5.26 if I am not mistaken. How do I update the d3dx9.dll exactly? I probably am using an out of date dll. The way I got Crysis 2 to work again is though removing out of date dlls such as those concerning DX9 and 10, since I didn't need them anymore, and ensuring that the DX11 dll was the most up to date version, which worked for me in the end. Like you said, I probably do need to ensure the DX9 dll for Skyrim is an updated one first. I tried this d3dx9.dll I had hanging around and put that in. It came up with an error to do with rendering as soon as I launched the exe. No blue screen though. Maybe I am getting somewhere?
