  1. I seem to have solved it by removing the 'CBBE Texture Patch'. Read over the page again and there is no mention what the hell that is for... My friend has managed to convert some animations from a few packs, so hopefully we can get started on filming this series (Or I can just play the damn game already! xD) I am still very much curious to know if there are any other gameplay mods that may suit what I've already installed? Although I am yet to try it, Ordinator worried me a little with how easy it might make things... Or should I just jack up the difficulty and not worry?
  2. Thanks a lot! I have looked over some of the Conan mods and what not, but we are also looking over different styles too. So far I've been following this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59416?tab=description and I seem to have been going well, but something is amiss with the textures... I installed everything in order. I DIDN'T use an addition skin texture, so I simply installed the CBBE texture patch. I selected all the 'curvy' bits as that is what I chose, but now my females have a black 'ninja suit' like look. I can see the jiggling works, and men are just fine... But something has gone wrong with the female textures for CBBE and I cannot figure it out. Almost every question is replied with "Lrn 2 Rd" but I have read through over and over and I don't seem to have missed anything mentioned. I am certain of it! I am just wondering how I can recover these textures... I can't really install the Bounce stuff bit by bit.
  3. Hi all, I just recently had some great help from these forums for modding Oblivion, but now I'm trying to mod Skyrim and find myself hitting a few bumps. I've got a pretty good idea of where I want to start. I've played Vanilla Skyrim many, many, many times and thought I would try some gameplay overhauls instead. I was told to check out Requiem but it seems to be incompatible with A LOT of other mods, and have therefore gone to look at an assortment of others. The first one I am keen to try is Ordinator, and any other gameplay/balance mods that are suggested to go with it. I've also included some survival mods for a more hardcore experience; adding Campfires, RND, Frostfall, and Hunterborn. These have been installed just fine and are working as intended. Now my main issue is when it comes down to another hobby: Making machinima. My friend and I have been working on a Conan the Barbarian type series on various platforms and trying to find one suitable to continue the series. We've gone through various games and considered Skyrim might be the right one... I am looking for character overhauls like RaceMenu and Body Slider etc. Nudity is fine, for both immersion and the themes of our series. Where I am getting confused however is finding animations. I managed to get CBBE, thought still looking for a male body replacer... But I am unsure of what skeleton to acquire and what mods will add idle breathing animations and I guess real physics with clothing. It doesn't even need to be overtly realistic; just enough so that dialogue based scenes wouldn't look like a still image lol. We also think being compatible with any sexual mod is also handy... Anyone remember the orgy scene in the original Conan the Barbarian? Finding the above type of mods wasn't so hard for other games, but for Skyrim... There are just too many! I can't make sense of all this CBBE, UNP, TBBP, FNIS etc. I'm going in loops trying to find what exactly does what. So I suppose what I am really asking is for is some nice gameplay changing mods that are compatible with Ordinator and the recommended body replacers, animations, and jiggly mods. Also, I am using TESMM... Is this ok? I already have 4 other mod managers between Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout and another for a handful of other games... Trying to keep the amount of these down would be lovely!
  4. This is really becoming painful lol. I seemed to have been going well, with the game loading up and letting me choose my character. Now I get a CTD whenever I step out of my cell after the intro. It seems to be right after I walk halfway into the secret tunnel after they open the wall. I've tried to disable Better Cities and Open cities but it still causes crashes right at this spot. Any advice on troubleshooting this? I haven't read a single issue like this is any of the posts for the mods I've been using... Feels like it's a 'me' problem :(
  5. Ok, so any idea how I can fix this? Is it fixable? I am going to try importing and activating QTP and then reactivating the QTP patch. I hope that works! Thanks once more for that much better tutorial  Update: Nope, didn't work. Guess I will need to uninstall and download the game again. What am I meant to be doing when TESMM shows me a conflict? For QTP, I clicked on the Unofficial patch and hit 'OK' and then for the compatibility patch I clicked on QTP and clicked 'OK'. Update 2: I fixed it! I was misunderstanding what TESMM wanted me to do. Rather than selecting the file to prioritize, I was selecting the ones that needed replacing. I thought I was instead directing it to the mod it needed to replace instead. My bad! Just a teething pain with this mod manager I think :D
  6. Ok something is going very wrong right from the start, and I can't figure out what... I installed TESMM and opened it. 'Imported' the Unofficial Patch, the DLC one, and the Shivering Isles one. I created an omod for each one, as well as the QTP/UOP compatibility patch. I then 'Activated' them, each of them going smoothly beside the WTP/UOP patch. I believe I clicked on the option to replace the Unofficial Patches files with the QTP patch files, which I believe would be the point of the patch? I then tried to launch the game; opening the Oblivion Launcher via TESMM and clicking 'Launch'. The game starts to run but instantly crashes to desktop. I have the Steam version, with Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles. TESMM says OBSE is installed even though I never told it to do so, or did so manually. I haven't even done the 4GB patch at all this time. I seriously cannot understand why I am having a problem so soon! Is it required I have QTP installed perhaps? I wouldn't of imagined the compatibility patch would stop it from launching... If it even IS that.
  7. Well that didn't go well... Installed the 4GB patch (Or so I think? Can't find '4GB patch' anywhere here, just '4GB RAM patcher') and OBSE and now the game won't load at all lol. No idea how these failed given I followed the instructions to the letter. Anyone have a link for both in case I grabbed the wrong ones?
  8. Well, your post was helpful none the less. I have a question about cleaning the DLC's. I read the guide to using TES4Edit but it made absolutely ZERO sense to me. Even the directions for navigating the program don't seem to work... I try opening the Knights of the Nine esm or Oblivion.esm and it just says error. The game is freshly installed, no unofficial patches or anything so I don't know if it's because there is nothing to check for yet? Again, the guide didn't really help me understand what the process involves. Very confused on what they mean by ONLY CLEANING LAST MOD IN LOAD ORDER... Wouldn't you have to uninstall and delete any subsequent mods should you need to clean an earlier one? Can you just disable mods below it in the manager? What do you do if you need to clean a mod in the middle of your load order? Sorry, it just felt that guide simply listed some jargon and then threw it all at me lol.
  9. Thank you so very much for your reply! I have gone through and started downloading the files and placing them in a folder. Once I read through the links you posted properly I will get started... Be warned, I'm likely to come back with more questions too! :P I do have one already, and I am unsure if it is answered in any of the links. I installed a fair few mods for Fallout NV and I used FOMM. I recall just loading the zip files and it basically did the rest... Is that the correct way to use most mod managers, or should I be unzipping the files first and directing to the unzipped folder? I only ask because it seemed both methods worked, but I haven't seen reference to that anywhere before. I believe the term is 'good modding hygiene' and that is something I am trying to learn.
  10. Hey all! I just recently got done modding Morrowind and was now looking at what is around for Oblivion. I'm curious to know what body and head mods are mostly recommended nowadays, along with clothing and armour mods to suit them. Also wanted to install the enhanced 1st person camera view mod, and wondering if any animation mods are compatible? I've been looking at Oblivion Reloaded for a graphical update, and also at a few patches. Which patches are recommended for download? The dates and amount of them throw me off a little when browsing through them, so just seeking confirmation! What are the 'must have' downloads? I'm thinking the unofficial patches, 4GB patch (if there is one), and OBSE to get myself started. Sound like a good start? Is Oblivion Mod Manager a 'must have'? Sorry for the string of questions! I find myself thinking of one thing then being lead on to another thing I want to add etc. I appreciate any answers that can be given! :) Please let me know if I need to go about installing mods different than with Morrowind too. I did all of that manually as per instruction and honestly, it was pretty simple. Having said that, I am not informed enough to know if the packaging of files etc is totally different across games.
  11. I'm still having trouble. I tried following the video posted in the first reply, but I couldn't figure out how to edit an ini file with it, as the video suggests. So, I tried to use Mod Organizer, but I can't see any of the mods I've installed coming up as activated, the way it should in the video. On top of that, Mod Organizer is a slightly different version. Any idea what I'm missing here?
  12. I'm extremely new to modding. Well, besides modding Morrowind a little bit ages ago... Anyway, got an upgraded PC that isn't TOO great, so I wanted to play Oblivion and Fallout: NV again, this time modded! I first tried with Oblivion, but the whole process seemed SO complicated! I heard Fallout was a bit easier, so here I am... The problem is, I've no idea where to start! I keep seeing different 'mod managers' and have no idea what to install or download first. I've looked at various guides, but they sidetrack onto other details so often, I get totally lost! I read a topic in another sub-forum here that suggested downloading LOOT, Wyre Bash, and FVEDIT? (I may of got the name wrong there). Yet, I see no other mention of these tools in other guides. I mainly want to improve the look and atmosphere of the game. Make it all look better. I like the look of the enhanced first person camera too! Also, improvements to combat and fixes in general are nice. And lastly, though not important, I sometimes dabble in machinima, so mods that add realism are nice. Maybe even direct me towards some lewder mods... (Would love to recreate some Mad Max scenes...) I'll accept any advice, even if it's just to get me started with one or two mods and helping me learn how to figure the rest out. Hopefully this experience will make modding Oblivion make a bit more sense to me!
