  1. "UPDATE TO PLUNKET'S UPDATE TO THE UPDATE TO THE UPDATE"!! I'm reviving this thread just to tell you, Plunket, that you are a legend. I spent the last week trying to figure out how the crap to force female animations on Lydia, and I tried mod-for-mod every single one of the ones you tried!! I was about ready to start punching puppies because SO many other forums/threads seem to indicate that the CK/NPC Editor should fix things right up. :wallbash: To anyone else having the Lydia (and possibly other vanilla followers) butch walk issue: Plunket is right. You MUST HAVE any companion-animation mods (i.e. U.F.O., rolling your own .esp through CK/NPC Edit, Migal's Housecarls) installed prior to meeting that companion. I just confirmed ANY of these mods WILL IN FACT UNBUTCH LYDIA, PROVIDED THAT YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE MODS INSTALLED PRIOR TO MEETING LYDIA. This is true of both vanilla and Dawnguard (tested both scenarios) I verified this by 1) uninstalling/reinstalling Skyrim; 2) Installing Dawnguard (FYI, skse too); 3) follow Ultimate Follower Overhaul install instructions; 4) loaded a save I had just before fighting Mirmulnir, rocked his world, went to Dragonsreach to be rewarded w/ Lydia + weapon; 5) Installed my usual suite of animation mods (Run, Walk, Idle, etc.), and sure enough, unbutched Lydia! Thanks again Plunket. I hope you're still around to see this thread!
  2. I've been scouring the known world of interwebbery and was surprised that I couldn't find a single hit on a similar topic... Basically, I get an immediate CTD when I pay Galathil (altmer who offers to change PC appearance in Riften Ragged Flagon in Dawnguard xpac) the 1000 gold to change my appearance. Let me be more specific: 1) I have narrowed it down for SURE to the following mods: ApachiiHairFemale.esm (**NOTE: ONLY the 10 additional hairs available separately from the full v1.4 pack; the full ApachiiHair.esm works fine w/o CTD), OblivionHair.esp, CazyHair.esp, FhHair.esp, and Dibella's NPC Overhaul.esp. If any ONE or more of these mods are enabled, game will CTD. Without these (I have a total of 57 mods, each of which I have tested one by one), everything's fine. 2) The CTD happens consistently and every time I actually pay her to change my appearance; navigating through Riften or even talking to Galathil but refusing to change appearance will not CTD. I have logged about 30 hrs into this save without any issues anywhere else. 3) I suspected having used showracemenu earlier in this save file might have had something to do with it, so I started a NEW file, went to Riften, paid Galathil, but still got the CTD. 4) I've already tried reinstalling Skyrim/DG. Same issues persist. I can't believe that I'm the only one with this problem, especially since Apachii's hair mod is so popular, and I can't imagine I'm the only one who uses the hair pack AND wanted to change my appearance  . Any help is appreciated, but I'm even more curious whether anyone's experienced anything like this! Thanks everyone for your input. UPDATE: No fix yet, but I've discovered more problems; I can initiate the makeover if I have ONLY ApachiiSkyHair.esm (v1.4), but when I try to confirm/exit the changes, I get a CTD. I'm temporarily concluding that ANY hair packs installed will crash Galathil's makeover option (tested and confirmed with Hairs of Fallout 3, too). I tried disabling all custom hair esm/esp, and I was able to initiate/complete the makeover menu w/o any problems.
