  1. You could just look for (or make, if you have the Creation Kit) an item scripted to have immunity to disease. I mean, no Sanguinare vampiris (disease), no vampirism.
  2. I could do it that way, but my real goal is to create a "toggle ragdoll" ring. I want a lifeless body to laugh at as it flops and tumbles its way down rocky hills and staircases whenever I want (and then the practical uses of that came to me later). Also, if I made my character hidden, the NPC might say "Where'd he/she go?" when they're standing right over you, and that would take away from the immersiveness. But thank you for your input! So far, I have created a ring that drops my character like a sack of bricks, which is about a third of the way there. They still get up as soon as they can. Now I'm working on keeping them in that ragdoll state until the ring is taken off.
  3. Hi there! I am trying to get into modding myself, and the first mod I want to make is an enchanted item that I will call the Ring of Cryptobiosis. The ring would allow the player to "play dead." Basically, equipping the ring would instantly put the player into that limp ragdoll state that they naturally go into upon dying or being knocked back by an explosion. Additionally, in this state, any hostile NPC's would cease attacking and resume their previous doings, like what happens when you're hidden and they give up searching. The state would last for as long as the ring is equipped, in other words, you're character won't get back up until you take the ring off, allowing you to lie there and heal/restore magicka. I am researching the Creation Kit and Papyrus as much as I can, but there's a ton of information out there and I'm more than a little overwhelmed. Are there any seasoned modders out there who might be able to point me in the right direction as to how to go about scripting something like this?
  4. I've had this problem too! I'm gonna try your solution...
  5. I just got this today too. I never eat food in Skyrim because I just God Mode all the time, so the cause of this is a complete mystery to me. I have been modding a lot recently, so I've been looking over all the files for any explanation. This is really frustrating. I'll post any if I find anything that appears to fix it.
  6. I had the exact same problem. Was able to fix it by just going to the C: drive and making a folder titled "Games," then in that making a folder named "Skyrim," and in that a folder named "ModManagerInfo," and in that, one named "Install Info." Nexus opened up like a charm!
