After restarting Vortex to get the updated extension and following the instructions on the Load Order page, my game is now back to working order. Thanks for the update!

Looking to downgrade to latest Patch 6 Extension for Vortex. None of my mods load in game and I won't upgrade to Patch 7 until all mods I use plus Script Extender are updated to patch 7.

And how did you install Vortex? Directly to your WIndows folder (Standard installation)? Or did you install the custom location version? The facts do agree with me, but different installation paths can often have impacts on default settings. The enclosed screenshot is my current settings for automation, and the only thing I did was turn on the option for Vortex to run when my computer starts up. Didn't "disable" any of them. Edit: Actually the facts do support me. I just uninstalled Vortex and did a fresh install of it after downloading the latest version, and because I always choose to install on my D drive, where my games are installed, It freshly installed with all the settings how I had them. Now if I were to completely uninstall everything, delete evrything off the D drive and completely defrag the drive I would probably see 0 of those Automation options checked off.

I've been using it since it launched as well, and yes the entire Automation category is disabled by default.

Not true. First, "Enable Mods when installed" is an automated process that has nothing to do with getting a notification via Vortex to "Enable" a mod after instalation. The green status notification to enable a mod is handled by "Enable desktop notifications". The "Enable mods after installed" option is off by default, as it simply automates mods being enabled after being installed. Second, I have never had to turn "Enable Mods when installed" off after installing Vortex. The entire "Automation" group on the "Interface" page of Vortex settings is always off by default and I only enable "Vortex Run when my computer starts up" and I have always received every notification for mods via the notification "Bell" icon until the latest update. I never disabled "Enable desktop notifications". It's still enabled and I no longer get the notification to "Enable" mods.

I've noticed recently that every time I install\uninstall or enable\disable mods, Vortex automatically purges links and forces me to completely redeploythe entirety of my installed mods and rerun FNIS. I've also noticed not everything is properly redeployed (missing texture files or meshes that should otherwise still be intact). Has anyone else had this issue? If so, is there a way to stop it from happening?

Recently I noticed an issue with the latest version of Vortex when installing mods. Whether the mods are downloaded from Nexus or manually added from my download folder, some mods after installing act like they're instantly enabled. And I do not have that settings option enabled. After I deploy, any mod that instantly enabled after installing I have to manually enable the plug-ins from them. The only settings I have enabled are for Vortex to start up when I start my computer and for FNIS to run on deployment. Nothing is set up for mods to be immediately enabled. Also, some FOMOD installers are being bypassed entirely and installed like a regular mod.

0.4.16 is the best option for 1.5.97 as it's the most up to date version before AE. However I recommend using this fix. RaceMenu 0.4.16 Memory Leak Hotfix (SE) at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)

Since starting up today, I have noticed an inability to install collections. After a few mods from the collection get installed, I start getting "Failed to install dependency" for all mods from that point on. It also kills my ability to download individual mods, also giving me a 429 error code. And when I close Vortex and open it back up, I get "Failed to get list of tracked mods".

So I recently tried downloading a collection. It worked successfully yesterday but since the collection updated after that point, I removed the collection before going to bed. Now I tried downloading and installing the udated version a couple of hours ago, and now I'm getting "Failed to install" on most of the mods from the collection and if I try to download the mods individually, they fail to download. And finally. Vortex is giving me a "Failed to track mod list". All of those messages have "429" as the error code, which is a too many requests code. I have premium membership, so amount of downloads shouldn't be an issue. I'm trying to figure out how to fix this and I can't find anything through google searches.

As an update: I found a mod nearly identical to what one I was trying to find did, the only difference is that all message/notification configurations are done in the MCM rather than a FOMOD. It's called Configurable Notification Messages.

Yes, it was. I remember it catching my eye either under what was new for the day I found it or in Hot mods section, but it was on nexus.

Unfortunately I can't remember the name, otherwise I already would have directly searched for it. Hence only having the description of the mod. Apparently it's not there, which is bizarre since even older deleted mods still appear in that section.

Unfortunately that's not it. The one I'm trying to find had photos of how the scripting looked on screen.

There was a mod I downloaded within the last couple of months that not only appears to have disappeared from Nexus, but no longer shows in my previously downloaded section. The function of the mod was to speed up the script reading to the point where it doesn't take nearly as long for mods to initially load for a new game and shows a length of script longer than just 4. It also gave, in a FOMOD format, the option to choose where on the screen the scripting would scroll down, the rate it would scroll at and I believe an option that allowed you to define to the capability of your CPU (AVX capable or not). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! I've been playing modded skyrim for a few years and I decided that if I can't find, I'd like to at least try and make it myself. Using Creation Kit, I've made a few follower mods but I want to do more. I want to make Outfits (armor and clothing) and see where I can go from there. Hello. I'm trying to remember how I got Theresa's part of A Woman's Lot to work with mods and I have had no luck. Is there a specific quest your supposed to complete before it's available (other than the Prologue and Awakening)? Mutt is also nowhere to be found after waking up at the Rattay Mill.

Hello! I'm looking at expanding on my experience by trying to get a bit creative. I was trying to figure out how to make an armor or clothing mod but all I can find is a wiki links page with methods that appear to only work for LE. So I was hoping I could at least get a list of programs and someone who could possibly point me in the right direction of an SE based tutorial. Thank you.

Can't find any conflict in my mods that cause this. Have looked through SSExEDIT. I can travel to WInterhold itself but any time I try Quick Travel to the College, try climbing the steps or pass by the steps my game CTDs. I have tried various times at uninstalling mods to try and find the conflict but I can't. Trying to figure out how I managed to get an invisible duplicate of my PC just sitting around Riverwood Trader.

Trying to find a fix. Not running any mods that specifically target helmets or closed faced helmets. Can't find the conflicting mod in SSEEdit. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

So more or less figured out that I was running to heavy on the size of the mod files. It wasn't necessarily the amount of animations as the standard FNIS mod can handle up to 10,000 animations. Also fixed the issue that was causing an instant crash for Skyrim SE. Might play SE a bit more after I clear through LE for achievements, but should have everything running correctly now. Thank you guys.

Yes it's Windows 10. I personally thought that was a little low as well but for my budget, I could only go as high as $800 for a new computer. If the RAM is the issue, I have no problem upgrading that but I'll have to see what my machines max capability on RAM is before I go that route. But as stated by the first person, Skyrim LE only uses up to 4 GB of RAM, so upgrading for LE is pointless.
