Fanglewood NWN2 Campaign
ShaunTheCrazyOne replied to alupinu's topic in Neverwinter Nights's NWN2 Discussion
Alupinu, between here and the Bioware forums, you have been taunting us with WAY TOO MANY SEXY SCREENSHOTS. When are we gonna get to play this thing? -
It's so beautiful, I could cry. Spent so long just browsing the interface, and admiring the pretty layout. To see this actualy become a reality brings tears to my eyes. Thank you Dark0ne.

NWN2 Inactive Modders
ShaunTheCrazyOne replied to Garagorn888's topic in Neverwinter Nights's Mod Ideas
I've been getting in touch with as many active modders as I have contact information for. Unfortunately NeilMc was not one of them. -
Tags for the Neverwinter Vault
ShaunTheCrazyOne replied to ShaunTheCrazyOne's topic in Neverwinter Nights's NWN2 Discussion
The list in my first post covers all the essentials, but there have other ideas and suggestions posted both here and on the Bioware Social site. I'll do my best to keep it updated. First off as Kaldor pointed out, I spelled Hordes of the Underdark wrong so that needs to be corrected. There are also many other suggestions and ideas floating around. I'll do my best to keep this post updated with all of them. Tags agreed upon: -'Custom Party Creation' under the attributes category (This is for mods or tools involving SoZ style party creation) Tags being debated: -Mods by level range, This could be done as Lugaid suggested using the tags 'Low Level (1-7)', 'Mid level (8-13)', 'High level (14-20)', 'Epic Level (21+)' to replace the 'past level 20' tag. We could also just add a 'Start at level 1' tag, or just leave it as is. -'Moral Choice' tag, for mods that feature a moral choice system. It has also been suggested to add class/Alignment-Specific either instead or alongside, though since these two are antonyms that could prove redundant. -'Crafting' tag under attribute, for mods related to crafting. -'Wilderness Setting' to replace 'Jungle Setting' -'ADL compatible', 'CEP compatible', and 'DWFI compatible'. Personally I have no idea what these mean, but they have been suggested. -'Textures' under the Resources category. Textures has it's own category but it has been suggested to add a tag for it as well. Please post and thoughs you have on these on any new ideas below. -
The Neverwinter vault does not currently have a list of tags. Dark0ne has asked for suggestions from the community on this matter. Over on the Bioware social site we've been throwing around ideas. New lifetime member...
ShaunTheCrazyOne replied to Elfriend's topic in Neverwinter Nights's NWN2 Discussion
OH HELL YEAH! I'm jumping on that bandwagon. To think I paid $60 USD for ME3, this is worth way more to me. <3 you Dark0ne -
I got the same this when I spoke to Mark from IGN: "we do plan to continue hosting of the vault networks, but have discontinued regular servicing." That just gave me such a warm fuzzy feeling inside. It's just soooo beautiful...

Voice Actors Wanted! Phenderix's Magical City of Manantis
ShaunTheCrazyOne replied to phenderix's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
It's been quite awhile since I did voice acting for a mod, but I'd be up for it. I've done voice overs for a few NWN2 mods (The Islander, the community voice pack), as well as Armageddon for Oblivion. Not sure what kind of voices you had in mind since not all mages sound alike. Maybe we could set up a session on skype. I'll send you a PM with my email. -
That is very good to know, I feel I have a lot of endorsing to do. Question though, if I upgrade to Premium, will I get the full history list from before I upgraded?

As much as I would love to see a Neverwinter Nexus, I do understand the amount work and resources that would need go into it's creation. However know that you have full support from the NWN community, and should you ever decide to go through with it, we of the NWN2 community will flood the place with awesome content as soon as it comes online.

While I've always used the NWN Vault for NWN2 mods, it's has it's flaws. It's been very stagnate as of late, impossible to find unless your looking for it or someone linked you too it. Plus it far better setup for builders rather than players. The Nexus is a far more player friendly environment, much better organized and much more assessable since a multitude of games are hosted. I was thrilled about going through the DA mods when I first found this site, though I have to say I was a little disappointed. There were only about a dozen standalone adventure mods for DA, most of which just expanded the original game. There are currently over 150 standalone mods for NWN2 that have capped 5000 downloads (Not the least of which is the new Icewind Dale remake), and the modding community is still going strong despite how old the game is. I think a NWN2 nexus would be a spectacular addition for both communities, bring a strong collection of mods to the Nexus' already spectacular collection and free us undead members of the NWN2 community from the oppressive reign of the NWN Vault Master Archlich (not to imply the vault is evil, it's just, well... undead).
