  1. Usually, if you use resources, it is easiest if you just unpack them. Honestly. Unpack meshes in meshes and textures in textures and you shouldn't have anything to worry about anymore.
  2. Usually you get .nif files when downloading resources. These files come in your data/meshes folder. Then, when you are in the creation kit, you need to create a new object. Let's say you downloaded a building as a resource and want to put it in the game. You have already the put the files in your data folder. In the creation kit you open up your "statics" tab and right-click and hit "new". Give your new file a name. (for example: ModBuilding01). Then you still need the model so you click on the button that says: Edit. A new window pops up and again, you hit edit. Then you will go in your data/meshes folder and select whatever building resource you downloaded and press ok. Next, you should be able to drag and drop the building in your world and it should appear.
  3. Hey guys, I have recently tried to add a road sign and have a texture on it. The path works correctly, it shows up in the Creation kit, just as it is supposed to. See, this is how it looks in the Creation Kit: https://i.sli.mg/6dNmJZ.png What is the problem now, mate? You might be asking and well, sadly, this isn't how it looks in the game at all! I get a rainbow of colors on the sign and it's just a huge mess. Look here, how it looks like in-game: https://i.sli.mg/f9jMYG.png Has anyone of you guys encountered this weird problem before and can help me on how to fix this?
  4. Like the one in the opening scene of solitude? Or the one, where you start the game? I've searched a lot but there just aren't any tutorials on it apparently. And when I looked at the quests, they had their own packages to make them sit in the chopping block, however, the actual animation of the guy sitting down and the headsman swinging his axe doesn't work this way. There is something else I'm missing apparently and I don't know what it is. Can someone help me?
  5. So in skyrim's creation kit, it was actually possible to duplicate books, edit them and done. Easy right? Well in oblivion's construction set that's sadly not the case. The option to duplicate books or letters doesn't appear at all! So what am I supposed to do to create a book in oblivion? I clicked on new, but then obviously the NIF files are missing, so I can't open them for my book. How do i do that?
  6. They're set to "average" on confidence and "unagressive" but other than that I don't know. Since I am using the testing character (that you automatically have when you write COC in console) probably doesn't even have a faction. Edit: Finally fixed it... I don't even know what I did different this time. I was duplicating a normal Guard step by step trying to figure out what the problem was. So I placed him without any changes first, then slowly added the AI package, the factions I needed etc and in the end I didn't encounter any problems but my guard was fully set. So I still don't know what exactly went wrong, but it works now atleast.
  7. I made these NPCs myself. Following darkfox' tutorial on youtube. I don't know how they will attack me :(
  8. I know this happened a lot when the creation kit first came out. I thought it would be fixed by now but it doesn't seem so. What might be the problem, and what happened to me, is that there are conflicting mods and/or you were using resources which weren't from the main game. I can't really think of another explanation why this happens...
  9. Please help me guys! I really don't know what to do anymore. I've added NPCs to my game who act just like guards and it works very well. They can send me to prison, arrest me for a crime etc. HOWEVER they simply won't attack me at all. They can walk around, use idle markers etc. So I don't think it's a navmesh problem, but even when I hit them they simply won't attack me. Not even once. Does anyone know what the problem is? Here is a video I made showing the problem I have: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0_gfe_NztU&feature=youtu.be
  10. I had to do it all by hand sadly. Creating it by hand is, for me, way easier than cleaning up all the mess the generation caused. Sadly I don't know any good, efficient way to deal with this either
  11. yes You can mostly just turn it off in the launcher. Whichever you use. Note that Items the mod added and everything else will probably be gone. But I didn't have any major problems yet. It just warns you that some stuff you added might be missing. Any way, next time you install a new mod it's probably a good idea to make a backup-save file BEFORE you install it so in case IF anything goes wrong you always have a Backup
  12. Yes, but I don't know how to attach a Cart to a horse sadly :/ In the creation kit nothing i do seems to work. I called a script with tethertoHorse in a quest which i put as "Start Game Enabled" and made it linked/parent/... basically anything i could find in the game where they already WERE attached... but nothing works somehow. I have no clue how to do this
