  1. @NexusComa No idea why that worked, but thanks. The room was empty and no residue. Redownloaded both mods and imported the .esp Emptied the room completely and saved it again. 1st bookshelf worked like a charm. I went back to EID and got another. (Just tryin to import clean.) 2nd one did not work. [deleted it] 3rd one worked so I used that one and filled the other 13 using copy/paste in place/drag...repeat. I am sure the second one was aligned correctly. But hey...I have a library. :) I expect to be done tomorrow [i am making other changes...like patching the holes in the roof.] and I'll share the pic. Have a great year man and again thanks.
  2. I downloaded TNF-Breezehome: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49347 and edited it by copying the crafting area, moving it north of the original, clearing out the old area and adding a 15 bookshelf library. So in essence, you come down the stairs and make a right into the library and walking to the right again through the library to get to the crafting area. I used Modder' Resource-Weapons Racks-Bookshelves- Plaques-Mannequins https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11618 to add the book shelves. I have used this several times before with no issue, but now, for some reason I have the following issue: My character gets the "Press E to activate the bookshelf" but nothing happens. The WHOLE bookshelf is copied from EID_Activators and pasted directly in place. Tied placing a bookshelf in the center of the room but that one did not work either. The shelves are aligned with, but not touching the walls. There are no planes I can see that might be preventing use. A chest I placed in the room does work. The only modification I made to the old crafting area is to delete all the crafting objects, add some lights and the bookshelves. The plugin is lchecked and loaded with LOOT. (I am leveling a character off a fresh start to see if that might be the problem.) I have two .esp's available . One with an empty room (saved in a backup directory [in case I have to start over from scratch]) and one with the bookshelves in place [in the Data Directory]. I'd very much appreciate any assistance in figuring this out. I would even be willing to hire someone to fix it. Since I have not received any response from Elianora, I plan to just keep this for my personal use. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year.
  3. No, they were installed in C:\Steam. Same set up for years. But thanks man. Still have NO idea what was going on but I fixed it. I just did a factory reset of the computer and updated/reinstalled everything...LOL <Shrugs> One of those "good reasons to do spring cleaning". Everything is working great now...even Skyrim.
  4. As stated in the title, with a completely virgin Skyrim install (NO mods, not even using SKSE yet) the game just won't start. It sets up the video card and offers the play button. When I click on it, I get nothing. My system information: OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Version: 17763.437 Processor: IntelĀ® Core i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz Sysmem: 26GB Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 version 25.21.14.2531 (4/9/2019) GCmem: 5,002 MB What I have done to try to resolve this: 1. Uninstalled Skyrim, SKSE and Creation kit through steam. 2. Uninstalled NMM, LOOT, Wrybash through apps. 3. Deleted all the Skyrim files/folders in Documents/Mygames and Steamapps/Common. 4. Deleted the NMM Directory. 4. Deleted everything in the AppData\Local\Skyrim folder. 5. Ensured my Windows and NVIDIA had the latest updates. 6. Ran NAV, Superantispyware full scans. 7. Did a cold (20sec) restart on my computer. 8. Reinstalled ONLY Skyrim from Steam. 9. Verified Skyim file integrity through Steam. 10. Ensured that the firewall was not blocking Skyrim. 11. Set TESV and Skyrim launcher to run as admin. 12. Opened Skyrim and it detected my video card then presented me with the PLAY option. 13. I click PLAY, get a spinning wheel for 1-2 seconds and nothing. Skyrim is not showing up anywhere in task manager. Skyrim/Update, hearthfires, Dragonborn and Dawnguard .esms are in the data folder and HF/DB and DG are recognized in Skyrim data files. So then... a. Tried rolling back my NVIDIA graphics driver to 425.31, installing on another drive, completely uninstalled NVIDIA GE Force experience and reinstalled all. no luck. Note that the one weird event is in the GE Force Experience when I select Skyrim, I get the spinning green wheel and no movement or action. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.
  5. So a few questions in different areas: 1. I modified Wind district breeze home [in my opinion, the best one out there] with Leathalthreats permission and a LOT of tutoring from him but I am running into three issues I would like to fix and he is in college now. **Note that the original mod changes the BH location to wind district and I did not mess with that... a. The followers will not enter the house, they go to the old BH location. (If I port them in using a follower mod, they don't leave with me. I have to port them back out.) b. The quest to enter BH is not being acknowledged. 2. I tried to create a "save the captive" scenario. I created a follower and placed her in Swindler's Den in a cage. The intent was to essentially rescue the damsel in distress and then have her become a companion and later, if things worked out, a love interest. Unfortunately, every time I enter the mine, I hear fighting and she is dead. Do I make her a bandit faction and if so, wouldn't that make her a bandit for the rest of the world? Is there a way I can basically make the bad guys ignore her? 3. Finally, when Skyrim loads, it shows my video card, but does not show allocated memory. All my enblocal.ini settings seem to be in order and I also checked the STEP project memory files pages, but can't seem to find an answer as to why it is not showing. Thanks in advance for any assistance and have a great day.
  6. Thank you all for the fast replies. The explanation was pretty bad I guess. There was no actual .bsa...the DL link was named wrong. I should have made that more clear....and I was not using a mod or adding a mod to LethalThreats, I was editing the mod he had already worked so hard on. (specifically, converting one room to a sauna, changing the child's room to a library and adding a cooking area to the kitchen). So I think in light of that and the awesome advice, all I need to do is rename the Wind District Breezehome - Replacer.esp and package it. LOL...can't believe I did not try that out of desperation...I tried almost everything else. I will try backing up all the files and subdirectories, renaming it, packaging it...then uninstalling LethalThreat's original, then installing the renamed mod. Thank you VERY much again for your help.
  7. So I am relatively new to modding and I have done extensive work on the "Wind District Breezehome" mod. I think it is the greatest player home ever built and the only reason I made any changes to it was because I have OCD. [just a little] :) What this mod does is switch Breezehome with Carlotta V's house and MASSIVELY upgrades the house to include everything you could possibly expect as a Noble. LethalThreat's attention to the smallest detail blew me away. LethalThreat gave me his full consent and support. He mentored me through this process OUR goal was to add this as an optional download to his. He is in college and is busy now, so I hate to bother him more than I already have....so... The problem I am having is saving my changes as a new downloadable mod. From what I have seen it is supposed to be an easy process. Once the changes are made, just reload it in CK and do not select an active file. Then once everything is done loading, save it as a new .esp. When I do that, it creates a 1kb esp that will not load in game. (The real .esp is 453kb.) So here is the information I have on the mod: The link for lethal Threats OLDRIM mod is: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61672/? The file that needs to be downloaded if you want to edit is the "Wind District Breezehome non-GS" DO NOT rename anything. The author mistakenly put the loose files in this location instead of under the optional files, so there is no .bsa in that DL. Here is what is in the mod: <Data Folder> <Meshes> (17 subdirectories + 5 files) <Textures> (10 subdirectories) Wind District Breezehome - Replacer.esp Once loaded in CK, there are basically two "rooms" The basement and the 2story+attic. Is this something I am doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated.
  8. This is my first Follower, but I have read a lot of forums and watched 3 creation videos, so I have a good idea what is supposed to be goin on for normal creation. [i understand this is not normal] I rolled a female toon to try to get some appearance ideas and I found the perfect one. Liked it so much that I wanted to copy the appearance instead of trying to duplicate it. Here is what I did: 1. Created the .npc file (copying my model) 2. Using creation kit, went to the Char Gen parts and imported the NPC file. (had to make sure it would work first, right? :D ) 3. From the Char Gen parts, I worked my way back tab by tab to the LEFT filling everything out successfully including creating custom sets of gear, spells etc. 4. When I got to the stats tab, I have PC Multi checked and when I change classes, none of the Skills change. The class button is greyed out. I checked her and she is in game with the right outfit. * Traits Tab is complete, no papy or template data selected...unique and respawn are checked. * Stats Tab, I am trying to have her use a custom Class I wrote (Note that none of the classes change skills) * On the AI tab, I have Default Combat Style Any help would be very much appreciated.
  9. LOL, true enough....or wait <looks around> maybe I am and don't know it.
  10. Thanks man, I really appreciate it. The graphics quality is huge for me.
  11. Well thanks for: 1. The steps on getting it into CK (Only thing useful) 2. For NOT writing an essay I would not read because: a. I did not ask for or need help with that part of it. b. Your grammar is painful. 3. For assuming that I used google, and that I did not hit these forums first....because that was just too funny. "Hey everyone, I hit frikin Martha Stewart's forum and I can't find out how to import my character" ROFLMAO Sometimes that manhole cover you drop lands on your toes (hint) Now you have a wonderful day and again, thanks for the method, not the manure.
  12. So I wanted to make my first follower and to do that, I rolled a female Nord so I could check the hairstyle, body, movement etc and I nailed the appearance I am looking for. Is there any way I can use CK and make a copy of that toon and then modify the copy into a follower? I only want the physical attributes and to use that as a base to build everything from scratch. [Hoping for one day to be able to post a great follower.] I have spent a day on different forums looking for the method, but can't find it.
  13. I have been playing Skyrim SE for about a month now and probably like most newbies, I went into the "Oh a piece of candy" mode in the mod section. So many awesome discoveries. So my question is: what mods should I be using to enhance the world and NPC [face and body] graphics? I have a VERY Strong rig, but my game looks nothing like some of the mod screenshots I have seen. Appreciate any assistance.
