  1. EDIT: It turns out that somewhere during the testing my headphones soundwheel was fully turned down... I have come to the conclusion that by moving both Skyrim - Sounds.bsa and Skyrim - Voices_en0.bsa to my C drive have solved the issue. Skyrim.esm has to stay on the D drive otherwise the game crashes. Hi, Like the topic says I am missing sound effects when running skyrim. The issue I currently have is that my shouts have no sounds. Some information about my current settings: - I only have the two most downloaded bug fixes mods installed; USSEP and SSE Engine Fixes, - I have Alternate Start installed as well so I can immediately test mods and such, - I am using Vortex to install those mods, which is installed on my C drive, which is the drive my OS is on, - My mod staging folder and mod downloads folder are both on my 'external' D drive, - Skyrim is installed on my D drive. What I have done so far is: - I came across this post and then followed the symlink fix, - When I moved all three files to the C drive (in a seperate folder), skyrim instantly crashed, - When I moved Skyrim.esm back to my D drive all of my in-game settings were reset and I did not have any sounds at all - I have now moved everything back to my D drive but all of my sounds are still gone. I hope this is clear and someone is able to help me with this! Regards, JKuppen PS: An obvious solution would be to install Skyrim and my mods on my C drive, however, I do not have enough storage space for that. A possible option is to install skyrim on my C drive and the mods on my D drive, but I do not know if that is possible.
  2. Hi there! In my game I have just learned the second word from the Unrelenting Force shout and the first word from the Whirlwind Sprint shout. Using both of these shouts yield no sounds (also using only the first word of Unrelenting Force is silent). I have modded my game (I also have the sound problem without mods), and it is also installed on my D: drive (so not the system or C: drive). I read some things about moving my game to the C: drive, but I prefer to find another solution, especially to prevent any possible problems with mods/saves/etc. Are there any other solutions?
  3. While I appreciate your comparison with beans and ladies and you acting like I am unable to understand the preference of a person, the word 'good' in my question has a different meaning. The word 'good' in my question is based on the property of functioning; where 'good' means that it is working. What I am asking is whether or not this list will function properly, i.e. perhaps I am missing a mod that will lead to a mod in my list not working, perhaps I have a mod in my list that is known to cause a lot of trouble (with another mod for example). Even though this can usually be found in the description tab of a mod, and you can also find compatibility information, I still prefer someone with more experience to tell me if it will be possible or not. This leads to my main problem; fortunately Vortex will already set the load order, but I still have to decide on what mods will use their texture (or something else) and what mods will not, i.e. SMIM and High Poly Project both adjust some object. With (a lot of mods) I can't get to understand whether or not I have set it so that ModA comes before ModB or vice versa.
  4. After consideration I decided that this list is too large to start with so I narrowed it down to the following mods: - Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch- SkyUI- SSE Engine Fixes- Noble Skyrim HD 2K- SMIM- High Poly Project- RIS - Real Ice and Snow- Ethereal Clouds- Bellyaches Animal and Creature Pack- Book Covers Skyrim- Leanwolf's Better Shaped Weapons- Skysight Skins- CBBE- Immersive Armors- Immersive Weapons- Cloaks of Skyrim- JK's Skyrim- Immersive College of Winterhold- Enhanced Lights and FX- Cathedral Weathers- Skyrim Flora Overhaul- Realistic Water Two- T'Skyrim- Alternate Start- Run for your lives- Ars Metallica- Point the way- Dawnguard Map Markers Is this a good list or should I adjust something? If it's good, would someone be willing to help me install the mods?
  5. Okay, I have Skyrim Special Edition and Vortex installed. Then, I've made a list of mods that seem interesting or important: - Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch - SkyUI - Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM - A Quality World Map - Immersive Armors - Alternate Start - Live Another Life - SSE - Realistic Water Two - Skyrim Flora Overhaul SE - Enhanced Blood Textures SE - Achievements Mods Enabler - Aemer's Refuge SE - Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim - Ars Metallica - Smithing Enhancement - Bellyaches Animal and Creature Pack SSE - BillyRo Ultimate Swords Anthology - Book Covers Skyrim - Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE- - ClipsyMoon Weaponry - Cloaks of Skyrim - Dawnguard Map Markers - Enhanced Lights and FX - Skyrim Flora Overhaul SE - ETHEREAL CLOUDS - Special Edition - Fluffy Snow - Footprints - HD Photorealistic Ivy - High Poly Project - AI Overhaul SSE - Immersive College of Winterhold - Immersive HUD - iHUD Special Edition - Immersive Weapons - Improved closefaced helmets - Ish's Souls to Perks - JK's Skyrim - LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Weapons SE - Lore-Based Loading Screens - Mountain Flower By Mari SE - Mythical Ages - weathers and lighting overhaul - Noble Skyrim Mod HD-2K - Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim - Point The Way - Rayek's End - SSE Expanded Edition - Realistic Ragdolls and Force - Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - RDO SE - RS Children Overhaul - Ruins Clutter Improved - Run For Your Lives - Rustic ... (all mods by Gamwich) - Shout - A Complete Immersive and Dynamic Overhaul of all Shouts - Simply Better Movement Speeds (SSE) - Simply Bigger Trees SE - (formerly SkySight SBT) - Skyrim 2017 Textures by Pfuscher - Skyrim Better Roads (SkyBeRoads) - SkySight Skins - Ultra HD 4K 2K Male Textures and Real Feet Meshes - Smilodon - Combat of Skyrim - SSE Engine Fixes (skse64 plugin) - Stones of Barenziah Quest Markers - T'Skyrim - True Skyrim - VioLens - A Killmove Mod SE I think it's quite a large list so please let me know if I should not use something, or if I should use something else.
  6. Hmm, that's a good question. I am mainly looking for a better experience, meaning some graphics improvements and quality of life changes would be nice to have. I am not looking for anything in particular but I guess some of the most used mods would appeal to me as well.
  7. Oh really!? That would be amazing!
  8. I am not stuck on anything yet, because I did not start with modding yet. I am looking for someone that can help me with everything. From choosing mods to installing it and the such.
  9. Hi there! I want to start playing skyrim with mods but I have no idea how to make it work. I was hoping if there is someone around here that can help me set everything up from scratch. I look forward to hearing from someone! Greetings, JKuppen
  10. Hello there, First of all, this is my first post so please notify me of any mistakes. Secondly, my knowledge concerning mods is very bad, therefore I need your help. I have downloaded some mods that seem cool/useful/interesting/etc. using NMM but now I need to install them. This is where the problem lies, do I need to install them in a specific order? What should I do when I get the message that another mod already changed something (with overwriting and those things)? I added a picture of the mods I want to install, perhaps that will make it easier: Lastly, do you have any suggestions for mods that will make my game look better or just must-haves? Greetings, JKuppen
