I'm reading some of the wiki tutorials but they really don't help any. http://www.creationkit.com/Bethesda_Tutorial_Papyrus_Introduction_to_Properties_and_Functions I'd like to find something functional like a tutorial of scripting a simple mod. You know?

changing values in an existing mod, .pex files so I'm using a simple mod [it changes $ around, reward stuff] and i want the reward $ to be larger. I opened the files, all .pex in notepad but i get a bunch of special characters and none of it makes any sense. am i supposed to use a special program to open these files to edit them? I'm thinking yes any one have experience with these script files? thank you
