It really makes me wish there were as many male focused mods as there are for female characters. I know there's not because of the demographic but a guy can dream.

I can't play anything but a beefy nord, honestly.

I know the Nexus and Skyrim modding community consists of almost entirely straight males but I was wondering if there are any fellow gay guys in the community as well as female players? I've met a fair amount, though mostly on LoversLab since any male content is usually of a very NSFW nature, but it would be cool to see more players who enjoy a strong nord male or beefy, gruff Redguard instead of the usual hyper-sexual female.

There are at least a dozen huge, DLC sized mods that were announced as far back as 2013 that are still being actively developed. I've had the same concerns as you since Skyrim has one of the biggest modding communities ever but thought it would start dying out when Fallout 4 was released. I'm glad to say that I still download new mods on a decent basis. It may not be as prolific as in 2012-2014 but Skyrim modding isn't slowing down anytime soon.

Add me to the list. Once I approach North Shriekwind Bastion and the area is marked as discovered I get a CTD. I tried the DEP suggestion and it didn't work. Turned down my graphics and deleted a mod or two and it didn't work. I just have a laptop, not the greatest, but I CAN run Skyrim on it, even with 90+ mods. This can't be memory related when my game runs decent all prior to approaching NSB.

This is my favorite one: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12801 Kinda late but thanks for recommending that. I've noticed a significant drop in problems be it CTD's, freezing, etc.

Running the SKSE launcher as an administrator fixes the problem for me as well. I'm assuming Skyrim updated or Steam updated in the past few days so that's why I had this problem.

So I've completed the Blindsighted quest for the Thieves Guild a while ago and ever since I have Karliah and Brynjolf will not stop following me and every time I try and talk to them they're stuck with the dialogue that they use when you have to escape the cave after you kill Mercer; "Lets get out of here before we end up like Mercer!" and "We have to get out of here, this place is coming down!". I tried searching for others who have gotten this problem but I seem to be the only one. I can't figure out how to get rid of them though the problem is most likely due to the fact that I completed some of the TG quests, including Blindsighted, with the console. Any ideas as to how I can get them the hell away from me?

So recently, I've come across a possible bug with the Face Sculptor in the Ragged Flagon that comes with Dawnguard. Her dialogue and everything are fine but when I choose to pay 1000 gold for her to change my appearnce nothing happens. I just stand there unable to walk or enter my inventory, I can only look around. Any idea what's causing this?

I just re-installed SKSE, fiddled around with recently installed mods, nothing. It still crashes instantly or within a few seconds after loading. I'm pretty much out of ideas.
-
Possibly, and yes I have the latest version of Skyrim. I also think the Candlelight spell may have been increasing the crashes but not the main cause. It has to be something with SKSE.

Skyrim keeps CTD the past 4 or so times I've tried to play. Every time the loading screen finishes and the game starts it'll instantly crash to my desktop without any error. I have a feeling it has something to do with the Candlelight spell, whether it's increasing the crashes or triggering them faster, since I saved one game with Candlelight sheathed and another with it in action and the one in action crashes instantly upon loading completion. I've tried uninstalling numerous mods, verifying game cache, and all the usual but nothing seems to work. I also updated SKSE today and my game was working fine prior to updating it, now it seems that it, and the Candlelight spell, is triggering instant CTD's. Any ideas what's wrong?

I've had a random red enemy dot on the compass map which won't allow me to do a lot of things ex. smithing, cook, sit down, sleep, etc. but there's no enemy anywhere. I assumed the red dot could have been coming from an indoor location or cell that couldn't be accessed from just any location but when I tried heading towards the general location of this "enemy" I was lead to an open field near Whiterun and apparently there is no enemy. The dot is also faint, like when an enemy is near but not in your sight, even when I was centered in on where it lead me. I noticed this right around completing Dawnguard's main quests so maybe there's a bug involved with that? I'm really not sure.

I've actually been getting this frequently too, I was hoping it would disappear after the recent site fixes but apparently it didn't.

Recently I've been having trouble when I transform into a werewolf. Every time I use beast mode and transform I'll be stuck in this odd first person view and I'm really high off the ground, like I'm twice as tall as normal. I do use mods, a lot in fact, and there might be a conflict but I'm not sure. The werewolf mods I have are: Tales of Lycanthropy - Werewolf Overhaul - 01 Tales of Lycanthropy Modular - Core v1_5 Realistic Werewolves - Werewolf Sound Overhaul - Realistic werewolves - Feral werewolf Sounds Werewolf Perks Expanded - Dawnguard - Werewolf Perks Expanded 1_6 I also have the animal/creature mods: SkyMoMod (Skyrim Monster Mod) SkyTEST - Realistic Animals and Predators Bellyaches Animal and Creature Pack Cover Khajiits Deadly Dragons Convenient Horses and some others that I'm pretty sure have no relevance. I'm really curious as to what's causing this and how I can fix it. The only mods I listed that seem to have any potential conflict are the first 3 animal/creature mods but I don't recall having problems between them and the werewolf mods in the recent past. I'd rather not post my system specs unless I need to and I don't think I do.

Thank you all very much for taking care of these issues. Looking forward to the bright future of Nexus and can't wait to have the site run smoothly (and possibly faster than before) again.
