  1. This will also happen if you just change the name of the output folder selected in bodyslide in explorer or your mod organiser. Fix by ignoring message, reselect output folder and restart bodyslide.
  2. Sounds similar to https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2945534-help-epic-levels-of-ugly-and-i-mean-epic/ Take a look 4/5 posts down for link to fix
  3. Is it crashing before choosing a save or after choosing a save to load?
  4. Got my support, I've also started putting my money were my mouth is and have donated to mods I treasure in my load order and will continue to do so, though like others it may take some time to get round to all of them!
  5. @daede & @arestris well said.On the point of donations, which has been an option on Nexus forever, I notice Dogtown1 has a Paypal donation button on his Monster Mod mod uploaded on Steam and Joop with his Combat AI mod encourages people to go download his free version on the workshop that he says will be the most upto date one! The scenario of lots of sh*t mods being released is no bad thing if it makes the Workshop pointless, we don't get our mods from there anyway so let it fill with crap. The best result of this fiasco would be for the workshop to fail and cease to exist, show the developers that it's in their best interests to allow a free modding model to keep their game at the top for so long.
  6. Many of them are doing this as early access to them for a limited time and only handful are stopping forever, and this is nothing like a quick buck at all on their end. It has been seen that it hell anyways. 17 Mods, that's all (so far). I'm not so sure you'll find that many others wishing to join and as Gopher points out there are often alternatives. Already modders are coming out in solidarity stating their mods will remain free (might I suggest they also pull their mods from the Workshop diminishing it's worth further). Let this kill the Workshop not modding or the community.
  7. It's not just your rig though and not just texture and ENB's that'll give you a fps hit, for example follower mods will slow your frame rate down! what stage in a game are you, does this happen with a new game? If so I'd suggest disabling flora, extra npc mods, extra animal mods, follower mods etc to try and narrow down what maybe affecting this. Do you use NMM or MO?
  8. I agree the trolls have gone waaaayyy overboard and it's shameful the way some mod users have turned on mod makers. Too few are speaking any sense, what we've got is 17 mods behind the paywall, so what? SkyUI 5 will go that way (atm) but 4.1 will remain freely available and was the final release anyway up until this debacle. It's easy to resolve, don't use the Workshop (who the hell does anyway?) don't upload mods to the Workshop and don't buy mods from it. Just leave the Workshop to wither and die. Users donate to the mods you all know you should donate to because they're essential to your play throughs and are the reason you still play Skyrim. Show the mod makers some respect and appreciation and that it's better for them to stay on Nexus. Galadreal, I don't blame you if you'd rather not be around this sh$tstorm and reading back through this thread and some comments I wouldn't either. Hopefully once it's died down we can get back to the more pressing concerns of which texture or follower mod is better and you'll be happy to participate again.
  9. You need a Mod Manager which will handle it for you, if you're new to modding a game : Watch Copher's videos on modding for beginers Read this: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/beginners_guide

    Hello

Ok, I'll bite. Don't use the 'subscription' service, there's lots of helpful advice on how to use mods properly and setup mod managing software. Look at https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/beginners_guide Watch Copher's videos on beginers guide to modding Read The Step guide If you hit a problem google it, there will be answers out there.
  11. If you're using the mod Animations that's the problem and also the solution. Go to the MCM menu for animations and select the emergency button in the settings menu, you'll get 3 options, set the unblock button to enabled, exit the MCM menu and go up to the blocked npc, you should get a message and then the option to unblock them, choose this, repeat for any other blocked npc's, then re-enter the MCM manu and disable unblock and disable the emergencey button, exit and hopefully the npc's are responsive again.
  12. Same here, I only get that crash within a city. Usually Whiterun but it has happened before in others. Often leaving the Bannered Mare or entering it to be honest. Who else here quick saves before every door they go into? I've just started getting this, before a freeze/ctd, no civil war mods, entering whiterun seems to be a problem. Have you got any combat modifying mods that would need to be disabled during the civil war action in Whiterun? Oh and polite note to mod authuors please, please, please STOP putting things in the Bannered Mare, I can get into top nightclubs with trainers on more easily than that place sometimes!!!
  13. Thanks for the info & the fix of deselecting RRWhiterunInt.esp, did this and the Loud & Clear quest now works!! The 7K Better Whiterun was the problem for me as well & I've link some other posts back to this and added an entry on the UESP.net wiki page . I note there is now some discussion about this mod on it's nexus post page asking about bugs as another modder would like to try and fix it.
  14. If you have the 7K Better Whiterun mod look at http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/756798-tg02-loud-and-clear-will-not-initiate/ 7K Better Whiterun interiors file breaks this quest, if you have RRWhiteRunInt.esp deselect it in Mod manager and you should be good to go.
  15. Hi my guess is that your game files have become messed up by the installation / un-installation of the mods rather than being an issue with area / location in the game. Take a look at http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Troubleshooting#tab=Restore_Vanilla_Skyrim and the clean save process . Before trying to clean up your files you could make a copy of your current save and have a go at re-installing all the mods ensuring that any load order or conflicts are addressed, use BOSS to sort that out then Tessedit to check that BOSS got it right,. Gopher who does the Skyrim Mod sanctuary tube has some good tutorials on using these tools. I've just recovered a heavily modded skyrim by doing this .
