  1. I disabled HTTPS Everywhere and still ran into the same issues for a few days. Everything is (sorta) working for me now, though, I didn't do anything new.
  2. Wow, so it's not just me. None of the fixes suggested so far have worked for me, unfortunately. Seriously? Where did they say this at?
  3. I can log into the forums just fine (obviously) but I'm having trouble logging into nexusmods.com/skyrim. I've been having this problem for the past week. The login token for my NMM works just fine, however. Whenever I try to log into the Skyrim mods section, I get this error: Error The site has run in to a problem, please look at the error message below... You have entered an incorrect username or password. Sometimes it will work (sorta) but I can't download anything. I just get a rectangle whenever I try. Even as I write this post, when I tried to post it, it gave me THIS error: Fixes I've tried: IE, Firefox, ChromeDisabling extensionsClearing cache and hard refreshesChanging my passwordCursing at my screen for having to type this post 3 ****ing times now. This is seriously getting frustrating! Anyone else having these problems? EDIT: Wow, it finally posted! Halp!!
  4. I don't use iHud. Ok so on-screen widgets/huds do not show up in game, like iNeed, Frostfall, or A Matter of Time. I reinstalled everything and fired up a fresh game. Everything showed up correctly, so I saved and exited. After running the game again, the huds/widgets disappeared again! I created a new character again, huds show up, restart, gone.
  5. Thank you very much! I think it's ridiculous that a quest is required to reference the player.. but this workaround worked like a charm! :)
  6. I'm trying to figure out how to add a note (book) referencing the player's gender, race, and name. I know the code for each, but I'll put them here anyway to ensure they're correct; <Alias.Race=Player> -------------RACE<Alias=Player> ------------------NAME<Alias.Pronoun=Player> ----------HE/SHE<Alias.PronounObj=Player> -------HIM/HER<Alias.PronounRef=Player> -------HIMSELF/HERSELF When I test my mod in-game (using the coc command), the notes are blank or only show text leading up to when one of those codes are used. Do I need a specific script in my books to get them to function?
  7. I'm working on putting a voice to my custom follower and was wondering if there was anything special I needed to do for the factions. I'm assuming I need a custom current and potential follower faction along with the normal ones. I already know how to add a voice and vaguely know how the quest hierarchy is set up (there's a million tutorials for that, so I'm not worried about it here), but I'm concerned that something I do with the follower might end up screwing with the other followers. I'm actually surprised at how little documentation there is on this. Lastly, where can I find a list of generic dialogue that all followers have so that I can tweak it for my voice actress (who does not play Skyrim)? If one doesn't exist, that's fine - it's just the CK tends to panic and crash when I highlight text within the follower quest trees. Thanks.
  8. I don't remember who said this nor the exact phrasing, but when it comes to mods, you have two choices: a pretty Skyrim (textures, meshes, etc) or a dynamic Skyrim (scripted, quests, etc). It's also a good idea to find a cell stabilizer like this one http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41592/? that loads the world as needed instead of all at once. Good luck.
  9. Have you tried verifying the CK's integrity with Steam? Are you running as Admin? Does it occur with one file or multiple files? At what % during loading does it crash or is it different each time?
  10. Alright, so I know this issue has been addressed multiple times over and I've been searching for a fix for the past two hours with none of the usual fixes working for me (before you ask - everything is up to date). I'm working on a standalone follower with custom hair, skin, armor, voice, etc. and have been meticulously going over each step I've taken with a fine toothed comb and backtracked to figure out where I went wrong, but can't seem to find it. I figured some fresh eyes might spot my mistake, so that's why I'm posting here. Please bear with me - I've been at this for a few days now. NOTE: I have all mods that change the player/NPC appearance disabled except for the ones that immediately affect my NPC (with the exception of RealVision ENB). D-UNP ECE* KS Hairdos Natural Eyes SG Female Textures *I had ECE disabled when I exported my NPC's face and has since been disabled. First, I got the red face bug without the dark face. When I fixed the red face, the dark face happened. The red face is apparently common when using custom facial textures, and I fixed it by deleting the tintmasks folder in character assets > ctrl+f4ing the face in the CK > then returning the folder. I loaded up SKSE - no red face, just a gray face. I undid the red face fix, but still have the dark face. I've checked and rechecked the FaceGenData/FaceGeom folders and even poked around in nifskope to double check my NPC's head texture locations. So, a breakdown: > Exporting the face isn't working. > Rearranging the texture locations in the FGD/FG isn't working. > Everything is correct in Nifskope as far as I know. I'd also like to ask the community for an "example" of the folder hierarchy for custom NPCs when exporting a custom face - like the CK Wiki does. For example, my NPC's face mesh is here \Meshes\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom\Treju Follower.esp and it points to \Textures\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceTint\Treju Follower.esp as the texture for it. The guides I'm using say this path is correct, but it doesn't look right to me. However, there isn't a FG folder within the FGD folder, so what I do I know  . Eh, I'm sorry if I'm talking in circles - it's late and I've been at this for longer than considered healthy. I appreciate all tips and help, though! Here's a screenshot of my (incomplete) NPC thus far in case this particular instance of gray face makes a difference. EDIT:: Now I'm seeing the dark face within the CK itself (WTF)
  11. I just bought a new computer (Windows 10) and I'm having some problems with the Creation Kit. I'm aware of the stuff you have to type into the SkyrimEditor.ini: The CK still crashes, though, assuming I'm inputting the correct information. I've also tried to insert sLanguage=ENGLISH into the General tab as well, but with the same result: ...then KABOOM! (ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing crash) What am I missing?
  12. That is pretty much my issue in a nutshell. They worked just fine when I used them for another mod, then disappeared with another, and it took constant restarts with this one just to get the arrow to show up. ^THIS. I actually didn't think to check the .ini settings. I played around with the SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini and they showed up when I disabled the decals. Um, what the heck is up with the CK? :ermm: After working for a while (and 20+ crashes later, of course) they disappeared again. I guess YMMV with decals.
  13. Hello, everyone! I'm having some problems with decals in the CK, more specifically, blood spray decals. I can't seem to preview the blood spatter to properly angle them. I thought it was the way I had the arrow positioned (going through the floor or walls), but that isn't the problem, as you can see below. I've tried the View > Show/Hide > tick decals, and this literally happened: ^An endless loop of the box unticking itself. Help?
  14. Believe none of what we see, naught of what we hear, A disillusioned reprieve; a solidarity most sincere, Man is pure when the facade of nuance is stripped, A primal instinct, a sensual revel with a tender grip, In a moment of impassioned self awareness, the world abstracts and begins to ensnare us, Must we return to reality's trite rhetoric? Must we return to being a sheepish hypocrite?
  15. Thanks for this! I really appreciate it.
