I think I may have found the solution.... Damn, it was so clear. Updating the unnoficial patch did it. Anyway, with this solved I have another annoyance. I cannot complete the lost to the ages quest. When I arrive on bthalft, Katria is not there, and the quest cannot advance. I tried using commands to advance the quest, but it was for naught.

My character is not absorbing the souls of dragons. This started some time ago, and so far, I have not payed much attention, seeing as I could simply add the missing souls through the console. But now, I am at the end of the dragonborn questline, and I cannot defeat Miraak because he does not absorb the souls of his dragons. Any ideas to get rid of this annoying bug?

Well, screw it then. Just too complicated. I am trying to edit some old half life textures in paint.net, and even that i find difficult. If it was a 3d model issue, i could try, but i am not into texturing. Modelling is just easier.

Besides, would it not be easy to make the models use a different texture file? It seems that you are telling me to edit the actual textures.

Thanks for the answer, unfortunately, I do not actually know how to do that. Sigh, I´ll search the internet and the game files to see If I can find something of use.

Is there a way i can change the model texture settings so that the female imperial armors use the red cloth found on the male models? I love the look of imperial armor, but I hate how the black fur on females. Red cloth feels much more "Roman". I just want to try and switch the textures.

Seems the problem may be oblivion style casting. Going to test it.

Also, I had this issue before i installed morrowind overhaul, which triplified the size of my load list... just to say that many of the inconsistensie i noted myself while writing the previous post came after this problem started and are unlikely the cause of it.

Whenever i try to start a new game, the game crashes a few seconds in, while you are being told "were you dreaming". There is no error, just a "morrowind stopped working" message. If there is a crash dump or report, i do not know its location. I already tried de-activating several mods to see which could be the culprit, all to no avail. Assistance would be welcome.
