  1. I totally agree with ya. The first think after I get to be the archmage, I am asked to go get some frikkin' dremer cogs. Like what the heck? GO GET YOUR OWN COGS! And tell me what you are planning to do with em in MY college. I wish that after I got to be the archmage, I could send the apprentices to do my bidding, alone or in groups. And have some way to get more apprentices, since those blocks will probably get killed halfway through the first dungeon crawl.
  2. Oh, thanks. I didn't notice that =D (Mainly coz I was trying to do that for items in my inventory, not favored)
  3. This existed in vanilla oblivion. Now its gone in skyrim. I wonder what the heck was bethseda thinking?
  4. While the rest of the ideas are good, I wish that if someone "refined" the leveling system for smithing, it could be opted out or be a different mod alltogether. I don't think forcing player to use perks to get smithing level 100 is such a great idea.
  5. Exactly, dragons aint dumb. Tho they are overly easy to fight in my opinion. Just get ice spikes with 50% more damage, dualcast and stagger. I haven't allowed a single dragon harm a single NPC. If anything, they could be harder to fight.
  6. Skyrim needs more mobs. For some reason, all the mobs above ground are just basically a bunch of mobs with original colours, and a bunch of cloned mobs coloured white and named "Ice <mobname>" Or a "Drough, Restless Drough, Drough <whatever>" and they all look the same ^_^"
  7. Already had a topic about proudspire manors storage space near the alchemy lab/enchantmers table tho :P
  8. Yeah, the dialogues in the general is like, WAY too repeatative. I swear, the next time I hear "Looking to protect your self, or deal some damage?" I will go out on the street and deal some damage. And definately more songs. It can't be that every bard knows every song. And exactly the same songs.
  9. Gah, atleast 2 rings. I don't know if ya guys have noticed, but some things in skyrim seem to be done more poorly than in oblivion. Did they fire all the good programmers/designers? Like whats the big idea with Proudspire manors storage space? Just one ring? Where the hell are all the spells? The merchants are so magical that they only get good spells when you level up? The current leveling system? Character progression? I can be a master alchemist, but I still can't figure out what the ingredients do, unless I took a perk for it? I can't create spells? I can't disenchant whatever enchantments I have? I can't create enchantments freely? Damn. Why can't skyrim be more like oblivion was =/ Where the heck did my freedom go? :'(
  10. Well, in my opinion, the UI is generally way worse than in Oblivion. Which is odd. The oblivion system of 8 favorite slots was way more useful than the current favorite menu. (Or is the 8 slot system there? Have I just missed it?) Anyways, I'd say, add the 8 slot system atop of current favorite system.
  11. Ermh, ya guys can't just stop using fast travel? :P
  12. Imo, this idea is great, as long as a few things are taken into account: If you are the Jarl or a leader of helgen or what ever, its no fun unless you can boss people around :P I mean, for example, I am the frikkin' archmage, and the other mages still ask me to do stuff for them. Like, what the heck? When was the last time you asked your boss to go get you some cogs? So, in a town, there are adventures, and you definately should be able to send em on a mission in some dungeon. So what if they die in the progress, its just for fun :P Also, if you start with rebuilding Helgen, ya could start your own little war against the Jarl to take his place. Ya could send your own little army to first take over riverwood and some strategic spots like the watchtower and what not. Then advance on the city. Well, not like I can't shout the city dead alone, but sending an armed force to take it over would be fun. And then start collecting taxes :D And if the modders are having fun making this happen, they could add the option to start invading other jarls territories. AND BECOME THE HIGH KING! xD (That should be real hard tho. And time consuming. No fun unless its hard.) Well, I would settle for whiterun tho. As long as I can boss people around :P
  13. What the...? Just because there are nords, doesn't mean there can't be magic. If the game was supposed to be based on nordic mytology, there would hardly be any dark elves running around, not to mention khajit. And some structures in the vanilla seem more Mayan than nordic. And as for making it happen? Probably possible, might make the game lag a bit. Its basically just a vagon or horse with stuff in it. ...Norse mythology has magic. And castles. And dark elves. Seriously, people, at least friggin' read the Edda before you try to sound like an authority on Nordic concepts. Ummm no, there are no castles in the same way there are castles in skyriim. There are smaller keeps perhaps. The vikings had longhouses and more like something you see from the lord of the rings. That Edoras house no medeival castles like you think. Also magic in the norse mythology only existed in the form of curses. There were no fireballs and shouts or whatever, and certainly not moving castles. The gods had magic but that wasn't fireballs either. But curses and magical items and invicibility. You don't know what you are talking about buddy. EDIT: I'm from sweden, please point me towards a viking castle you dumbo. @Terralventhe Norse "magic" was more like shamanism. And well, yeah, okey, there were dark elves, I was wrong bout that, but I still dont hear you claiming that khajiit are part of norse mythology too. ^__^ I'm just saying that a flying castle ain't impossible. Who says it has to originate from skyrim? Its frikkin' flying castle, it could have arrived from some magical fairyland. :P

  15. Yes. That is very close to my dreamhouse too, except, I would have a wing for my personal army, which I would send to do my bidding. Why is it that everyone is bossing the player around? Like, I am the frikkin' archmage, and my subordinate asks ME to go get some dremer cogs? Why can't I send a joinee of the college to do it for me? :D Or in general send NPC's into random dungeons to explore. They would most probably get killed, most of the time, but sending em in bunches and looking at the damage they did would be quite fun. Not sure if that requires scripting an NPC attack for every dungeon tho, would be a bit too much work for a housemod.
  16. Every time I go out I get like 2 dragons flying in the distance, all the time. Once I had 3 in a very small area. They spawn a lot as it is. Why should the player be at higher risk? What part of that would make it more real-ish or logical? If I was a huge firebreathing creature, angry at the world and looking to do some damage, I would steer away from the guy that is doing serious hurt to me, and take my anger out on the weaklings on my path. Its not like any living creature would actively be looking to get killed by someone stronger than them. What is this, I don't even... Dragons spawn too much as it is. Don't think so? Try getting out more. Go near mountains or something. Damn things are everywhere, like a virulent plague or something! I can barely walk out of a cave or something without hearing a dragon roaring overhead. Seems like a good percentage of the time I fast travel near a quest target, there just happens to be a dragon appear as I'm running to my marker. So aggravating... Aggravating because 80% of the time they never land, and 15% of the time that they do it's in some very inconvenient location. really? I've only killed 7 dragons so far and I'm level 32. I do go out and about more often. In a effort to get a dragon increase, I no longer use my horse or fast travel anymore. =/ can we switch RNG's then? :P They were nicely generated in the beginning, but now, they are scarce for me. edit - been thinking. Does following the main quest has to do with anything with the dragons massive amounts of showing up? I've hadn't investigated the dragon burrows yet. So curious if that maybe why there has been so few? In response to your edit, dragons appearing so often has EVERYTHING to do with the main quest. Once you get the "way of the voice" quest, you'll see more of them. Once you finish that quest, say hello to the Oblivion Gates of Skyrim! Heck, while doing the Mage quest line, I was attacked at least 3 times by fricken elder dragons in the College courtyard. Let me tell you, playing with light armor, those guys effed me up with their kill move over and over in close combat. Not fun.... o_O On a side note, I wish dragons were more random/strategic (take your pick), like they were in the Demo vids, picking up giants and stuff! I haven't seen a dragon cart anything off and I'm 100 hrs in! I have done just a few first main quests, the dragons spawn a plenty for me. Started spawning a lot once I hit level 30. Tried sheating your weapons? Well, if I was shot by a friend in the back while fighting, I would seek out to exact revenge too tho, even if I knew it was unintentional. :P
  17. Ugh, have you actually plaid the game? The storages in the houses are awful. Proudspire manor for example, there are no storage next to either alchemy lab or enchanters table. Actually, the only storage in the whole basement is a few barrels and some sacks. And a bugged weapon rack. And no display cases whatsoever. And for some reason the storage can't be arranged by category, so you need several places to put your enchanting equipment alone, less you want to spend time looking for the items you need. Also, filled soul gems wont stack always, which creates extra objects in the storage. For some reason the alchemy lab in proudspire has half a dozen bookshelves. Whats the big idea with that? I ain't going to place my ingredients on those, its too troublesome.
  18. How rude of you. Please do go run around naked in labyrinthia. There are other ways to mod than using official software. Besides, I wasn't saying I would want it right now. What is the point of making a mod request forum early if you assume everyone is going to wait to make their requests till the official kits come out?
  19. Hi, So, this should be relatively easy, and I would do it my self if I had the time to go through the modding tools instructions. Anyways, could someone make a small mod to add a strongbox next to the alchemy lab in Proudspire Manors basement (On the small table, perhaps?) Having no storage sucks, and the barrels in the other room are icky. And also a couple of chests in the room with the arcane enchanter. Maybe under the two Weapon plaques and another next to the arcane enchanter... Optional objectives: A small smithy in the empty room in the basement would be kinda cool too... (The one with no buyable decorations. Or will it get decorated later on? I doubt it...) With smelter imbedded in the wall and all, I think it would just fit.
