LE Custom Race Voice; CombatGrunts not Working.
Truebluehero replied to Truebluehero's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Turns out I was using the wrong voice category. I thought combat grunts was the voice made when the character swung their weapon, but apparently that's a voice in the combat tab. So it wasn't that the voice wasn't working, I was just testing it under the wrong conditions. As soon as I tried using the Attack voice instead, I had the voice I wanted, so I can only blame my own ignorance on this one. :ermm: -
I'm currently trying to create my own race, specifically I'm currently working on giving it a custom voice. I added the new Voice Type, assigned my race to the voice, and started a Dialogue Quest. I've currently assigned three voices to this dialogue; CombatGrunts, Sprint breath, and leaving water breath. Sprint breath and water breath both seem to work just fine. However, even though it seems to be set up in exactly the same way as the other two voices, CombatGrunts refuses to work in-game, and the character stays silent. (It works within CE.) Is there something special about this specific voice that perhaps makes it require something extra? Thank you.

I'd like to replace the Xbox 360 buttons the game displays when using a controller with PS3 buttons, since that's the controller I use. I know there's a mod for SkyUI which replaces its buttons, but that doesn't work for the menus that SkyUI doesn't change. I'd like something that can replace the buttons in the rest of the menus and will still work with SkyUI. Thanks.

I've been trying to use the creation kit to make a face texture pack that I've downloaded work for only one custom race I'm making (rather than all races in the game), but changing the specular and normal maps on the race's face doesn't seem to have any effect on the rendering window or in-game. I've already got the race's body set up without problems, and the face's diffusion map works fine. But the normal and specular maps seem to have no change (they stay like the vanilla maps) when I assign a new image to them. Is there something else I need to do to make these maps work properly?
