  1. I managed to fix the textures, but it may not be the most stable solution. I copied the textures from the vanilla game files and placed them in the path they belong (data/textures/dungeons/utility). Could future problems occur if I use this method or would you advise a more solid solution?
  2. No worries my friend, now that you mention it my system was updated recently. I own the steam version of FNV Ultimate and its worth noting my Steam Folder is not located in Program Files or any other folders alike and is found directly on my "C:\" drive since I've had issues with the former previously.
  3. Unfortunately I'm afraid your only option is to make a new container in the GECK so it is unique and add your armor to it.
  4. A little advice that saved me from issues like that, Make sure your Fallout INI files have "Read-only" unchecked in preferences and make sure you have archive invalidation enabled. To be safe you can add any .bsa file names from your Data folder referring to invalidation such as "Fallout - Invalidation.bsa" or "Fallout - AI!.bsa" at the "SArchiveList" line under [Archive].
  5. Strangely enough I installed the GECK extender without even remembering a few months ago and I had no new issues. I opened the normal GECK application and the same exact problem occurs. I could try reinstalling it if that helps anything but I can't help but feel as if it is related to my data folder, but even if I load only FalloutNV.esm there is no difference.
  6. Textures for certain room kits (so far only Utility hallway/room dungeon pieces) render in the GECK as if showing signs of improper archive invalidation. I attempted to fix the issue by editing my "GECKCustom.ini" to include "Fallout - Invalidation.bsa" or "Fallout - AI!.bsa" in the line under [Archive]. It is also important to note that the textures appear as intended in-game, only the GECK refuses to render these textures properly. I might also want to add that I am using the GECK Powerup if that has any influence on my issue. Screenshots:
  7. I just now reinstalled my steam to a new folder I created on my C drive called "SteamGames". Now I checked just to be sure and New Vegas is currently installing to that folder. I feel as if I should've just done that to begin with but I was reluctant to do anything else until I had some advice on this issue specifically. I'll wait for the game to install and post another update on whether or not I have further problems, although since I live in the middle of the woods it probably won't be today.
  8. I have spent days without a solution to a problem I have not had until I recently got a new PC. My Steam copy of Fallout: New Vegas, no matter what I've tried, seemingly forbids that I try to install the game into another path than Program Files. Since I've noticed how this is a major issue with New Vegas on Windows 10, I wanted to perform a completely clean install which involved going into Steam's settings to change the path. Even if I managed to add another path in the list by modifying the configuration file, before the game begins installing I am prompted with a disk write error. Regardless of if I set the install to Program Files, Games, ect. it simply won't allow me to do so. Feel free to judge me if I should be posting this problem in the Steam forums, but after countless threads I've looked through my experience was quite unsatisfactory and perhaps the community here has better knowledge on this sort of issue. Rarely anything on those threads seems to actually help with many of the issues I experience with NV on PC.
  9. In the world LOD window, a custom worldspace I created contains a staggering 455304 terrain chunks , Something just tells me this isn't normal judging by the amount of chunks in "WastelandNV" (1360). Despite my map only being the size of only a fraction of the base game world. EDIT: I've noticed that the issue most likely stems from the use of individual static world objects and the neglect to create static collections of these objects to improve performance and reduce unnecessary terrain chunk counts. As a whole, I've come across numerous issues while worldspace building and I fail to find specific answers for each one, I believe I need someone who is experienced with worldspace building to answer my questions.
  10. I appreciate your efforts to inform me, the GECK is a very tedious program to work with and my frustration has left me at a dead end in my mod that I had to do a clean restart on once already, furthermore your static collection statement could be the answer to my issue. I will revise this post in the category you have suggested, thank you and I apologize if I came off as rude earlier.
  11. I understand this is a late reply, although I need more details on what I should, I am not a regular forum member and I am seeking help that I can find answers no where else. My efforts to "contact a moderator" only left me to a blank page when checking the list of the said moderators, I am unsure if this is a problem on the staff's end or mine but I need more specifics.

  13. Not surprised Bethesda is this way, they took Fallout and ran with it pretty much, hogging the spotlight for others to make from it even if it is non profit. Even New Vegas could've been more than it is if they could do whatever they wanted, alas they could only make what was named as "Fallout 3.5". Otherwise, I'd really like to know how to do this without getting in trouble, I am making an urban area reminiscent of FO3's D.C. ruins, just engulfed in a blanket of radiation.
  14. Do I need to import Fallout 3's meshes/textures for world models? I'm looking to use the buildings that appear in the downtown D.C. ruins (for example; L'enfant, Gorgetown, Vernon Square, ect), since I really like the look of the structures seen there. I can't find exactly what I'm looking for on how to do this for my W.I.P. mod.
  15. Hmm, Well I have this large crater to enter a destroyed base; the crater is the most complete along with a tunnel leading to a new worldspace, I'll try and see what I can do about the LOD.
