None of the people here were hostile to him, "self control" was suggested as a possible solution because the probability is that nobody will make what OP requests. You got offended on someone else´s behalf. That kind of childish behavior helps no one and I would suggest you remove yourself from this site if you intend to be upset and offended about everything. I pointed it out and you guys can either develop yourselves into better human beings or continue down the path of "just deal with it."

I was and while no one commenting may feel or perceive the cultural insensitivity of the initial replies, people who know a fair amount about interpersonal communication and culture will understand exactly why I was annoyed.

It's people like me that help to build bridges and avoid war. It's careless, self absorbed people like yourself that inflame tensions and fuel conflict.

The replies already show a lack of understanding. Just because you people can't relate to the poster's world view, doesn't entitle you to lecture and tell him how to "use self control" while playing. At least he's attempting to live his faith and is conscientious of how he interacts with the world around him. More than can be said for "Focus on Family" evangelical dbags. One of my close friends is a devout Christian and I respect him because he lives his faith. It changes the music he listens to, shows he'll watch, games, everything in his life. He even tithes to his church. Point being he isn't a self absorbed hypocrite. He doesn't lie to himself or others every day like most "people of faith." I respect that. I'm agnostic and have a generally dim view on all religion. Stop judging people you don't understand. If you don't get why someone is posting a request for a mod then stfu and read /post something else.
