  1. For those that don't remember, Project Frenzy is a now defunct complete overhaul project of Skyrim that included a Performance Pack that apparantly boosted performance by 5-10 fps. Now for people struggling with fps, this seems pretty spectacular, and I also wonder what in the world was in the pack. Anyone have any ideas? It was a d3d9 file. If someone takes on this project, or just rehosts the performance pack, giving credit to Boris and Project Frenzy (because apparantly the PF performance pack took some key files from Boris Vorontsov and didn't give him credit), I'm sure your file would be one of the most downloaded file on the site for months to come :3
  2. Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what settings you would set the OBGE Bokeh DoF to make it look like Skyrim's ENB Bokeh DoF. Bc OBGE's default settings makes it look REALLY strange, like someone commented in a video that was showcasing the DOF, it creates the effect of someone ingesting copious amounts of alcohol :P I'm sure OBGE's bokeh has the power to make a DoF that's similar to Skyrim's, since they are basically the same effect, but just a simple change in parameters would make the bokeh much less insane. Though, one big difference from the DoF's is that Skyrim's ENB DoF has a fade time, before the DoF kicks in, its not instant, is there a parameter I could change to create a fade time? Thx before hand! And if you're looking for examples of skyrim DoF: A 2:50 you get good examples of it. You'll notice, for instance, things in the foreground don't get blurry unless you're in an extreme situation.
  3. Well there is an ENB for Oblivion which changes colors. OBGE is a much more powerful tool, install that via wrye bash, along with its standalone effects, for some effects. The most notable of those is God Rays and DoF, though the DoF looks a bit screwy. I didn't like redimized, they looked so blocky. If your computer can handle the 1k versions of textures in Skyrim, it can handle the full Qarl's texture pack. If you, however, couldn't even handle the 1k versions of Skyrim 2k or something, then you should stick with Qarl's texture pack redimized.
  4. Hey! I want a go at DoF, and am using a version of Matso's Skyrim Visual immersion, but I find its DoF is too high quality. The only DoF my computer could handle was the DoF from this Enb: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14646 If someone doesn't mind, could they tell me where the DoF code is? Its somewhere in enbeffect I think, but I don't know if its something that spans many parts of it. I want to know how to transfer the entire effect wholesale, and knowing where the DoF is altered can allow me to lower the quality of the DoF even more if I want later :P For reference: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15050

  6. Doesn't NMM not work with omods? If they did I would def use NMM given that its much more user friendly overall, not just to get new versions of mods, but in the installation process. Did u know in NMM if you overwrite something, and then uninstall it, whatever was overwritten will be restored?
  7. I want a sky that looks semi realistic, I still can't find one, tried several ENBs D: The sky in Visual Immersion III looks pretty good but its SO BRIGHT that it just appears white unless you're staring at it and let adaptation set in. Its the sky not the sun...
  8. Hey, I still haven't upgraded to 1.5, and thus obviously not to 1.6, because it costed me some performance. Its from the shadows on the grass they added in, right? Well someone told me to add something to my skyrim.ini, but it still had shadows on the grass, the only thing that fixed it was me uninstalling, and reinstalling up to 1.4.
  9. Just wondering, if you find the lens flare in one ENB more attractive than the other, is there any way to copy and replace a lens flare to your preferred ENB? Thx ahead of time.
  10. I'm messing around with the SKY settings in the enbseries.ini of different ENB's, and can't find one I like. The skies are dark on the top and white on the horizon or super bright to the point the skies bloom conquers the scene. Anyone have a good ENB that has daytime skies kind of like RCRN or Realistic Lighting? Thanks.
  11. Accidentally discovered, that if you have one proxy via enbpatch.ini and another via enbseries.ini both will load. LOL I need to use 3, however, I wonder how I'm going to do this :P
  12. XCE no blocky faces is a must, no matter what option you go for. Go for some type of cover woman if you want hot girls, and if you want detailed male faces as well, get XCE first, all of the mods, and then overwrite them with coverwoman. Doesn't CBBE affect faces?
  13. K after more testing, I think Serious stands out more than SRO, but sometimes its just unrealistic and ugly. One place where I HAD to overwrite Serious with something else were the pine forest textures, there's so many shiny dead leaves on the ground, in places that there are NO TREES. SRO is the much more truer than 2k HD when it comes to towns and structures, but sometimes, really, all they did was take the vanilla texture and up its resolution a tad bit, so it still looks blurry. But if you want a vanilla enhanced a bit, SRO is the way to go. I use the LITE version so sometimes the blurriness gets unbearable, so I may switch back. 2kHD makes better use of all its pixels. THIS is also incredibly helpful, its a texture mod comparison: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=14632
  14. Anyone know the pros and cons of each? I think, landscape-wise, Serious looks very similar to Realistic Overhaul, and is slightly more true to vanilla. I've been using 2k HD for the longest time since I didn't know there were any other texture mods, and barely ever noticed the textures. Skyrim 2k HD is by far the most realistic of the bunch, and looks great under ENB, but I think it looks really bad under vanilla color balance. Serious/SRO have textures that jump out at you more even in the desaturated vanilla skyrim because everything is bump mapped and the textures are shiny and portray large objects, rather than hundreds of small ones. So for someone sticking to vanilla until RL v4 comes out, would you recommend SRO/Serious? And has anyone had any experience with insanity? EDIT: A texture mod comparision: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=14632 I don't feel it covers EVERYTHING, the main thing is that Serious has more bump mapped stuff than SRO, and portrays the biggest objects, while SRO goes for smaller, and 2kHD goes for even smaller.
  15. I've had 2K HD Lite for the longest time, b/c I thought it was the best and most comprehensive texture mod out there. I wanted to make my game an enhanced vanilla skyrim. But then I learned that there's this other texture mod "Skyrim Realistic Overhaul", which is closer to the vanilla textures, though by now I've gotten used to Skyrim 2k. So if I switch over to Skyrim realistic Overhaul, do I also have to dl Beth's texture pack, since I don't think SRO is all inclusive, though Skyrim 2k is? I'm not so sure since even with Skyrim 2k, the npc's seem to have ugly clothing and I'm not sure if dungeons are affected. Also, could I use SMIM and not replace any textures and have it still work?
