So it seems lol, downgraded to 16.05 and it works now.

I'm having the same issue. I just finished building my pc and got vortex after getting skyrim downloaded and vortex wont even open for me. I will say this though, uninstall your vortex and download an older version, it worked for a day for me but now won't open at all. I'm looking for another workaround since the devs can't even answer this question.

I have vortex and I used the auto installer and it wont even open. on the cursor it acts like its going to load and then nothing comes up and its nowhere in task manager. I've tried run as admin, restarting and reinstalling vortex and I've tried using an alpha version which worked but the next day it's doing the same thing.
