  1. *RESOLVED* For those who are interested, incase you experience the same problem, go to System Configuration > Graphics Settings and under the General section, un-tick the box that says "Use low-detail models on distance objects. (LOD). I must have glossed over it a dozen times becasue I was expecting a draw-distance slider or something, or something with a drop-down menu. Good luck and good gaming!
  2. *Update* It's not just equipment. I'm having distance rendering issues with any mod that changes meshes, to include body replacers.
  3. Is anyone else getting distance rendering glitches with modded equipment? Up close, everything renders as it should, but if I zoom all the way out, or am some distance from a character wearing a modded piece, I get these ungodly 2D geometry glitches stretched across my screen. I first noticed it with The New Ultimate Foot Pack, but it's happened with several others as well. At this point, I'm not running any mods that alter the appearance of equipment, but I really want to.
  4. I'd like a way to marry Hulda, resulting in her selling the Bannered Mare to Isolda, and coming to live in my home and behaving as any other spouse does (setting up her own little shop, etc.). What I'm thinking is that she responds to the amulet of Mara, like any other marriageable NPC, and upon completing the wedding, the game would initiate similar processes as if she had been killed, but without any of the dialogue mentioning her dying. From that point onward, she'd behave as any other marriageable NPC.

Using the voice files for the different languages that Skyrim supports, I think it'd be fun to have a mod where you can set a different spoken language by race, while keeping your preferred language subtitles so, for example, you can have all of the Bretons speaking English, while the Imperials speak Italian, etc, while keeping the subtitles intact so you can follow along in a more diverse environment.

  7. I'm interested. Currently playing a High Elf for my first time ever (6 1/2 years in this game, and I finally decided to try it). Naturally, he wouldn't want anyone of an inferior race in his household, calling him father like some kind of overly affectionate housepet, so if you wouldn't mind, I would definitely be interested.
  8. It's always seemed out of place, to me, that the Nightingale blade is a sword, rather than a dagger. Could someone maybe reduce the mesh and reassign it as such? Also, it would probably be appropriate to reduce the weight and damage accordingly. I've seen this request on the old Skyrim forum before, but haven't yet found a mod for it. I'm sure many of us would be appreciative.
  9. It's 12:30 in the morning, and all is quiet. I've managed to correct the plates (again a mesh issue, as I suspect the eidar is as well). My girlfriend finds it amusing that I have a "cheese issue." I've looked through every mesh in my data folder, and can't find one that I believe would cause this. To be safe, I've removed cheesewedge02.nif, cheesewheel02a.nif, and cheesewheel02b.nif from the data/meshes/clutter/food folder. I've also removed the cheese02.dds and cheese02_n.dds from the data/textures/clutter/food folder, but to no avail. The eidar cheese continues to mock my efforts. Verily, the darkness closes in around me. My mind rails in madness against my good nature. Desperately, I search the various .bsa files, hoping to find some fleeting trace of hope, an anchor to which I can cling and whether the fierce gale of desperation... But my hopes are dashed... The darkness clouds my vision now... All is quiet...
  10. *Update* It seems it was a mesh issue that was causing the interference. I've removed the scaffolding folder from data/meshes/dungeons/mines and the issue has resolved. While sorting it out, I identified the texture as "minewood01". I also found that the normal map was being called appropriately, just not the texture map. While I'm not in love with the default mesh, it'll serve just fine until an appropriate replacement can be found... Also fixed the aforementioned issue with the lockpick interface. Still trying to find the cause of my woes regarding eidar cheese and plates, though. Here's a pic, if someone has some insight:
  11. Hey everyone, So, I appear to be missing some texture files, and I can't figure out which ones and what to do about it. It only seems to be the ones specific to certain wooden platforms as demonstrated in the screenshot attached. Other minor annoyances are present with an apparent misalignment of textures related to my lockpick interface, eidar cheese wedge, and silver platters, so far, too. I've been busy the past several days manually importing textures and meshes from various classic skyrim modders, so I'm sure these errors are my own doing. I'll eventually get around to figuring out the other issues, but right now this wood thing is really bugging me, and I could use a hand. Thanks
  12. Hi everyone! I've got an idea for a mod, but it's certainly not within my skillset right now to make it a thing, so I was wondering if someone out there could possibly help. Not to sound racist, but Giants all look the same! I've seen mods posted to add female Giants, and child Giants, and that's cool, it adds a little diversity, but what I'm looking for is a full overhaul of Giants in Skyrim. Basically, I want Giants to be replaced with giant Nords, complete with different faces from each other. It'd be cool if it was compatable with mods that altered Nords, as well, for consistency with high-quality skin replacers and such. I'd be fine with limiting the hair and beard styles to the more raggedy types, because Giants, but it's just wierd that all the current giants look like 70-year-old men whose souls have been crushed under their own giant feet. I totally wouldn't argue with the inclusion of Giant women and children, as well, for immersions sake. It'd be extra cool if the females were compatible with CBBE or UNP. It'd be AMAZEBALLS if child giants were compatible with RS Children, or whatever. Hell, I don't even care if the Giants look exactly like existing Nord NPCs (just as long as they don't look like each other), but bigger, and dressed like Giants... Please help me realize my dream of a Skyrim where Giants are individuals, and not just big clones of some old guy!
  13. Hi everyone! I'm looking for some new appearance presets for my characters from various fandoms. Particularly, I'd like to see some presets for the Avengers (Robert Downey Jr., Cris Evans, Cris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner), and others from the Marvel cinematic universe. Additionally, it'd be awesome to find some presets for some of the Supernatural cast (Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard, etc.). Some Doctor Who presets could be cool, and some Sherlock. How about the new Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman? Maybe some of the characters from the CW's Arrow and The Flash? Perhaps do a line of Johnny Depp's various characters. Oh, and Hunger Games characters! And The 100! OMG SO MANY FANDOMS!!! GAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!! (ahem) Anyway, I think you see what I'm looking for.
  14. Hi everyone, I'm having trouble with Oblivion crashing to desktop on launch. I've cleaned the indicated mods with TES4 Edit, I've gone over the list through BOSS to try to identify any conflicts, I removed any mods that I thought *could* be conflicting with anything, and my bashed patch is current. At this point, I'm at a complete loss. Attached is a snip of my mod list as it appears in Wrye Bash. Any help would be greatly appreciated, EngineerX
