  1. Still always worth asking, maybe Bethesda has a conflict emulator in its internal tool kit (will try reaching out)...
  2. Hey, I am not sure if this exist yet or not... Is there a mod or tool to trace a faulting mod for games like Fallout 4, Fallout NV, Skyrim....and so on...when a person such as me is running 52 .esm+.esp files it gets a little difficult to find who made who crash. Yeah I get that its is most likely the newest one is that cause, however it is not always to the core/base files it conflicts with; it would be nice to be able to identify what part'(s) of the mod is conflicting or even if it is the newest mod....(sometimes it can regional/location-based/action-based).
  3. Thanks for getting back to me; I assume that when following best practices guidelines you will be offering safe harbor? Also anything I should know of that is out-of-scope; aside from the obvious rules of best practices.
  4. Hey do guys offer bug bounties for onsite problems such as security vulnerability's and content that is miss-configured? If so, where/who do I send that info to for said flaws, and payouts in Kudos? For both forums.nexusmods and nexusmods
  5. In other words, I started with a half written Java file and finished with one written in C++, is it the same file? or is it my own?
  6. Here's the thing, if you where to open any portion of the mod in question and compare it against the unfinished version, my mod files are in a different file format, rewritten to work with MCM, I had to hand write the new .dll files; and using creation kit recompile the entire mod.
  7. Is it possible to just state all credit goes to original author?
  8. I have tried to contact the file owner on the site in question to no avail, as I said his accounts been dormant since December 2013.
  9. Thanks for the advice, one question how much do you have change in a mod for it to be considered your own? or can i just reference his broken version?
  10. Hey I have a question, I downloaded a unfinished mod (author has not updated it in 5 years) for Skyrim, he had claimed it was for SE. His version was/is a half baked mess that kills your game, the way it was coded causes the game to crash at boot. Due to the .dll file supplied being corrupt, and ALL the mod files still being in the old Skyrim file format! Through trial and error and a good few days of bug hunting and re-formatting, this is now a fully functional MCM compatible mod designed to run with the current SKSE version (Oct 05, 2019). and is NVM compatible! Can I upload this mod here without repercussions? Seeing how he's been offline for 5 years, and not on nexus mods? And more importantly this mod is a requirement for several other mods here on nexus.
