  1. Thanks, I must have missed that in the documentation.
  2. My laptop has AMD Radeon switchable graphics so when I use ENB(or anything else for that matter) it always detects the low end graphics card, which of course is not the card I'm using for the game(or any game). I'm wondering what this does, how to use it, and what effect if any it might have on performance?
  3. Ok I just tested that and no adding bottom of the list doesn't CTD but that is the only thing that doesn't. It still CTD if I update a mod. Where do I find the file that stores the load order?
  4. It isn't specific to any one mod. If I install a mod, make a change to any mod I have installed or I change the mod load order the game just straight up CTDs when I try to load a save.
  5. Oh and while I'm at it I might as well ask how do you stop the NMM from adding another skyrim.esm to the plugins list?
  6. Well if I update a mod, which doesn't change the mod load order, the game CTD.
  7. Recency I have been having problems with my save becoming unusable if I make the slightest change to the plugins list or order even updating mods renders all my saves useless. I have 162 mods. I know that installing tons of mods could break a save, but if the a single thing changes in the mod load order or a single bit in a plugin changes the game just CTD(I assume that means crash to desktop). Is this normal or is there something I can do or install to prevent this?
  8. Compared to Morrowind, my favorite Elderscrolls game, Skyrim has fairly simple game mechanics. Fixed weapon damage, health, magic and stamina have arbitrary values, armor is just helmet, chest, boots and shield, etc. My thoughts are it is easier to simplify game mechanics than it is to make them more complex why because to make them more complex you need to add coding to the game and making it simple could be done with tools like the creation kit.
  9. I moved this to a better place. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/874690-possible-nmm-generated-script-error/
  10. I started getting this long before I got Hearthfires and before it existed. I started getting it at the same time I tried to use SkyRe and I started using it when it hit mod of the month. I took screenshots of the errors. [WETriggerScript <01099883>]WARNING: Onlnit() myHoldLocation property has not been set, this will result in errors. [WETriggerScript <010D13EA>]WARNING: Onlnit() myHoldLocation property has not been set, this will result in errors. [WETriggerScript <01099887>]WARNING: Onlnit() myHoldLocation property has not been set, this will result in errors. This is the three things that pop up. Not sure what order they pop up in. What triggers this is changing a mod in NMM after I have started a game, that includes installing, uninstalling, installing and uninstalling before starting the game again, activating(checking), deactivating(unchecking), and updating. These messages only appear once I try to start a new game. If I try to load a game Skyrim just crashes. I tried to pin it down on a mod, but I was able to trigger this with any combination of mods, but never with mods I've gotten from the Steam workshop. I now believe that the error is created by NMM, but I have no way of confirming this because this problem seems to be unique to me. I have found the only way to "fix" the error so far is to delete the skyrim folder in steam delete the skyrim folder in my games and reinstall everything. It is a real pain in the butt so I stopped playing Skyrim for a long time.

  12. I'm getting it again. I finally got around to trying skyrim again and the first thing that happens the world won't load so I uncheck a mod start it up again and boom my hold property not set and this is from hitting new game. Load game got it too but after it loaded making my character blond, naked and faceless.
  13. Ok good I have a ways to go yet.
  14. I still have one question. Is there a limit to how many mods you can use at once? No matter how stupid it sounds it is the only thing that explains the error. It survived two hard drive wipes.
  15. No this is what I get when I try to run a new game. When I run a save it just crashes till I run a new game then it starts doing the same. Oh and my Pathfinder character is a Paladin/Cleric.
  16. When I install mods I get this script error myHold property not set. Boss doesn't ping any of the mods as not working and the error persists even if I remove all the mods. I have gone through my mod list several times and there just doesn't seem to be any origin of this error.
  17. In the CK I noticed on the races and armor that there are a number of body objects listed that serve no apparent purpose. I was wondering if it is possible to use these slots to create "vanity" armor that displays over your real armor like in the game Terraria or like the robes in Morrowind(robes could be worn over armor. The "vanity" armor would be displayed by itself and would ideally have no effect beyond looks. I'm wondering just how possible this is.
  18. Real great swords look like this well except they are made of metal. It has always bugged me that the great swords were so short. I'm guessing this is just a modeling and texture job. One other thing how many modders check these posts I have always kind of wondered about that.
  19. I just got a game pad for the computer and the standard drivers for it stink no matter how high I put the sensitivity in Skyrim it doesn't affect it until a second after I start doing something. The gamepad is programmable but it needs to be in directimput mode to program it. Skyrim doesn't support directimput. Is it possible make changes or whatever to make Skyrim support directimput. I'm just throwing this out there I have no idea if it can actually be done.
  20. I loved the tower shields in Morrowind and I was real disappointed that they weren't in Skyrim. The tower shields would effectively block all incoming attacks(block attacks not damage) from in front of you ,but they would weight significantly more and would slow you down and the shield perk that lets you run while blocking shouldn't work on them.
  21. I have Morrowind and Skyrim. The more I play Skyrim, the more cool Morrowind gets because it doesn't have the stupid perk system. Has anyone else noticed how Dovakiin seems to translate into Demigod instead of dragonborn. To me it seems like the only thing different between the Dragonborn and everyone else should be they can absorb dragon souls and use them to gain knowledge of shouts and maybe become physically stronger. The whole system is so flawed in so many ways. I also don't like the way nothing presents a major challenge to you by the time you level 20 you can almost single handily concur Skyrim. In Morrowind level 20 you stop getting stronger and just get more hp, mp ,sp with each level that doesn't make you much stronger because there is more to fighting then I have more hp then you. I'd do something about but that would mean rewriting half the game. I like Morrowind because the game mechanics makes sense there is no arbitrary perks system where suddenly for no apparent reason you can gain new abilities. The only thing Skyrim has on Morrowind is better graphics and the duel wielding. Skyrim has been a real let down. A game that you have to mod the crap out of it to make fun is a failed game. Anyone else with me on this?
  22. Heavy armor is has no down sides once you get the Conditioning perk. I also don't quite understand what the armor rating actually does. This is all just thoughts on improvements Armor Effects Armor makes you physically jog and sprint slower. (No it does not already do this) No Armor 1x Light Armor .8x Heavy Armor .6x Speed is relative to base speed of race. Armor Perks (names are just suggestions) Light Armor (requires three armor pieces to be worn not including shield) Mobility 1: movement speed is increased to .9x Mobility 2: movement speed is increased to 1x Deft Movement 2: 20% chance of avoiding all damage from a melee attack Deft Movement 3: 30% chance of avoiding all damage from a melee attack Acrobatic Steps 1: 10% chance of avoiding a ranged attack Acrobatic Steps 2: 20% chance of avoiding a ranged attack Acrobatic Steps 3: 30% chance of avoiding a ranged attack Acrobatic Steps 4: 40% chance of avoiding a ranged attack Heavy armor (requires three armor pieces to be worn not including shield) Deflect Arrows 1: 10% chance of deflecting an arrow (Deflect not block the arrow will bounce off you) Deflect Arrows 2: 20% chance of deflecting an arrow Deflect Arrows 3: 30% chance of deflecting an arrow Deflect Arrows 4: 40% chance of deflecting an arrow Endurance 1: 10% chance of halving melee damage Endurance 2: 20% chance of halving melee damage Endurance 3: 30% chance of halving melee damage Endurance 4: 40% chance of halving melee damage Endurance 5: 50% chance of halving melee damage Sealed: 25% chance to avoid fire, frost and spark damage
  23. I agree with everything you said about the pacing everything happens way too fast. It plays out more like a badly written disaster B-movie that starts with it was a dark and stormy night said by a narrator doing a lousy Leonerd Nemoy imitation. I also have been wondering why the dragons are so pathetic aren't they supposed to be able to battle armies and win where-as here they can be defeated by a level 1 wanna-be or don't wanna-be adventurer. I say don't wanna-be because the game starts off with you in a cart after being caught trying to get out of Skyrim. I'll make a better post tomorrow it is late and I'm really tired.
  24. Magic Missile 1d4 damage plus another 1d4 every two caster levels. Hits 100% of the time and there is no resistance to it. This is just off the top of my head.
