I'm running the latest GEFORCE drivers with nexus mod manager, clean installation of skyrim and windows, and yes, I'm using SKSE. Could it be the HDD? I've had this HDD for around 6-7 years, not sure if HDD loading times have anything to do with it.. I can run skryim on Low settings without any lag, but if I even attempt to up it up a bit or add the official high texture pack, it runs super slow on cities or places with lots of NPC. Edit: Also, I've never experienced any shutdowns or anything related to the power supply, so it's weird. Could my 6GBS of RAM not be enough for skyrim? Between the HDD and the RAM, I really don't know what else could be wrong.

My problem is that while I'm on major cities, or there's lots of npcs around, it becomes so slow, it's nearly unplayable. And I've seen posts on google of several people using specs way lower than mine, and many of them say they even run graphic mods without any issues. Am I doing something wrong? Any tips are greatly appreciated. (Also on a fresh install of windows.)
