  1. Where is the LOD settings? tried installing it via NMM, didn't work though. Could you please specify how to install the mod manually in a completely detailed and ''no brain'' fashion so the LOD works. Just make a step for step guide on how to install it, assume I know squad, because that's just about what I know about working with LOD and worldspaces. Just update the readme on your mod page. to install place the meshes in the mesh folder and so on with the titles of the folders. put the LOD file in LOD settings and the rest in the main data file. If I can make it work, I'll take a look at it. I do know a bit about modeling and a lot about level design / landscaping / creating trivial NPC's with AI etc. ;)
  2. I've made quite a bit of projects so far, but never really finished anything completely. I am capable of creating quests, landscapes/areas, NPCs and their AI, custom voice acting, Spells / Shouts / Buffs / Custom potions & poisons etc.. etc... But as I am busy studying, I can only handle one aspect of creating new gameplay for skyrim. I enjoy using the landscaping tool, and I can create just about anything with it. You Need to have a questline in mind, maybe another guild? Fighters guild, college of whispers(necromancer) etc. If you lack creativity but just enjoy scripting, creating quests, it's fine as well. Maybe you're good at creating spells or other awesome things, well let's team up and create a community project. I like new content, as was it an expansion to the original game. So with that in mind, I'd like our focus to be on creating gameplay, especially since skyrim is dying out, it doesn't help creating a weapons pack, it needs new content. I can make things look new and alive, I need someone who can make it feel interactive. I hoped we could make a team, not just two people but several, let's make some content for Skyrim before it's too late.   3. I know this is an ancient post, but... I have the exact same problem, I didn't through several other playthroughs, but I remember it from the first time when Skyrim was just out, and it started to behave this way again. Did you ever find a solution to this/have more information on what causes it. I'm a modder and I might be able to fix it, my OCD is itching.
  4. If you've created armor mods for Skyrim, chances are you've used 3dsmax. I desperately need to know where the function to unhide bones is. Right Clicking and hitting unhide all does not work, I know there is a function which toggles bones showing on and off, I've tried google but to no avail, it can't be true I need a script for it, and all the forums for 3dsmax seem to cost money.
  5. Alright, thanks, I kinda feared that as well, I believe it is doable but the process is a drag and since I've got other things to take care of, I might just wait a bit with this. My hopes was that there was a way to place some sort of marker in the tamriel worldspace and use it as some sort of reference to your ''child'' worldspace, for it to generate its low poly landscape around... If anyone sees this and think, eyy, I saw a tutorial on this exact matter, don't hesitate to hand out a link ;) ♥ I've tried searching but to no avail, and it is obviously possible since Bethesda did it at least 6 times with the main cities.
  6. So basically, I'm trying to add a parent worldspace, like Tamriel is parent worldspace to Riften, to my own city. Question is, how does this work, how do I specify where my city is placed so it will - get the right place for the the custom world space in Tamriel. If I wanted to make, say winterhold college, into a seperate worldspace, how would I go about if I wanted the view to be of winterhold and the sea of ghosts. (Like all major cities does.)
  7. I've tried looking at it, I did it with the ship that's already in the game though, but I just can't get my head around it, I wish someone experience could just give me a quick tutorial (though it's probably a bit of a project) that is as plain as possible.

If you're advanced at modding, or have come across a way / tutorial how to do this, I think I could create some fairly amazing things, since I've just about peaked in landscaping. - I need a ship to move with the player on it. But it doesn't need to be player controlled, it just needs to take a route after I hit an activator. I'm capable of leveling terrain / creating high quality areas with the most basic working npc's - Blacksmiths, Inn Keepers, Bards, Merchants, Guards and idle npcs there for cosmetic / immersion purposes(sandboxing), a working navigation mesh and map markers.

Yes, in the creation kit, the world you are in when running around in the wilderness of Skyrim killing elks is named ''Tamriel'' when selecting world space ;) Whenever you change load screen you change world space, each load screen has a separate world space except for interiors(inside houses, keeps and stores) which is just a compilation of sub world spaces.
  10. No I can remove the trees that annoyed me in Riften, I just go to the tamriel worldspace and delete em :b... But my other town still got this weird flying LOD tree, and It's placed in the tamriel worldspace, these are towns like riverwood or falkreath etc. But they don't seem to have a parent worldspace that I can just go to and delete the tree. :( I have no idea why the tree is there, I'm guessing there used to be a mountain where it is now... If anyone have any idea of how to delete LOD trees from the tamriel worldspace near the Falkreath Hearthfire house: Lakeview Manor... It would be most helpful, since I have no clue of were to even begin :S
  11. It's fine, thanks mate. I thought parent worldspaces worked like... they would take a picture of and sort of duplicate it as a background, but I tried to just go outside riften, actually delete the trees which were in the way, and it sort of worked. I'm still having trouble with my first town mod though, it's not quite as simple when it is located in the tamriel worldspace, which to my knowledge has no parent worldspace... and I don't understand what it is doing there floating in the air in the first place, it seem to be connected to my mod, so if someone who's a veteran at this stuff sees this, I'd like to know if there is a way I can accidentally have placed a low poly tree in the tamriel worldspace.

Thanks, but I'm quite learned with the landscaping tool, and there doesn't seem to be any obvious help to find on youtube or the creation kit page, though it must surely be mentioned some place :b I'm trying to add a new section to Riften for a new guild, it have always annoyed me how small the cities are, and especially a city like Riften, it does well in trade, is near morrowind... A jarl, a large staff, 20 guards and like 4 people... A common problem with Skyrim Cities. What I was hoping for was someone with any knowledge about world space editing, as I'm assuming they are a part of that, I really just can't see any way to remove those god damn low poly trees :(
  13. my level of frustration is reaching a critical state, how do I remove these ugly low poly trees that just spawns because of reasons, I've added a new section to Riften and then this... I know it's trees that are supposed to spawn in the background, but really, how do those trees know where to spawn and how do I tell the CK to stop doing anything remotely that annoying. This happened to me in my other mod as well (near Falkreath player home - not background), I fixed it by moving a building on top of it... But there have got to be a more professional way to deal with it.   14. Man I'm getting so much cancer from this post... Aladdin must definitely be trolling or by the least be a twelve-fourteen year old kid... MLP, Spiderman and car mods for skyrim is just... yeah... Here's what, a mod creator who have taken his time to understand the space his creation will be a part of generally is also one who cares more to make a good mod, there's nothing wrong with a fun mod you can install once you've completed the game, but they aren't of much value if you're anything but a complete toon... Not all mods who aren't lore friendly needs be dismissed, but they do need to stay withing the artistic frame of Skyrim, or in other words, axes / shields, not M16's, ford mustangs and avenger ponies. Of course, if you have no taste or sense of real and serious gameplay, you can probably enjoy a few of those kind of mods, but you won't see me weep if we lose these mod creators from the nexus.

  16. Nexus Mod Manager's delete and deactivate function doesn't even remotely work? I've tried getting it to work for like 3 mods maybe, it seem that it's function is basically the same as finding the mod and hitting delete. I thought the point of it was to help people safely remove mods and install mods... I have already allowed changes to files and sub-folders for the skyrim folder. When I manually delete the mods and all files asociated with it, NMM suddenly reminds me the mod have been removed, tries to uninstall it, and crashes... again. Is it just me, or does uninstalling or even deactivating mods cause it to crash 50-75% of the time. ? - This have been an issue for me on both my computers, am I missing something?

Problem: Lights placed in the creation kit does NOT show light bulbs(ModelFile) anymore, I can NOT move or scale lights in any way, but they seem to work in every other regard (EX, Placing it and having it show). Have I clicked some hotkey I'm unaware of? I don't believe I've done anything drastic in any way, I've tried F5, reloading the places etc. The problem goes for all lights except for window/'directional' lights. I can't seem to find any help for this on the creationkit wiki. Question: Is there a function to show markers, but unshow light indicators I may have activated? Question: Have anyone heard of or experienced this, does this sound like a corruption of my editor (having to reinstall) ?
