  1. I really wonder, couldn't there be a mod that makes really every NPC killable and switch the main-quest to something else? Like "you killed your only lead to find XY Now its pure luck you'll find your way through the wastelands" and activates maybe a simple main-quest like "kill all the bad guys" or "kill all the good guys" or "kill everyone". Or "now you have to find the GECK on your own." Maybe small leads that point you into the direction of the GECK, or change the quest then into "search for the GECK yourself and search for Information there and there" or "kill this main-faction or destroy this main-base. Or infiltrate this base or Bunker to find Clues about the GECK or how to stop the Enclave or Brotherhood from expanding in the Wastelands.... I mean, it shoulnd't be too difficult changing the last slides or outro-video with some text and different backgrounds? So many possibilities there....!
  2. Hi! I am looking for a weather-mod, like "Dynamic Weather" but without a "controller". So without a tool, that has to be activated from the player, but it appears and changes automatically? And with it keeping the Vanilla-nights, without conflicting with Fellout? Can you recommend a mod? Or how difficult would this be, if I would change the modfile by myself?

  6. So, I found many mods with bunkers and new homes in the wastelands, but how about a bunker thats empty? Or not really empty, just has a few supplies, like you would find in any other area? Or an empty Vault? ... And more or less sparingly equipped Vaults that you could use as a Homebase? Without too much loot inside, so you still have to scavange the wastelands?
  7. It works. Left the Vault and it runs smooth and looks very good!
  8. Update: I really don't know why and how... but Fallout 3 runs now flawlessly (so far) ! I installed various mods (Command Extender, Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch, FOSE, Enhanced Blood-Textures, Fellout) still didn't work. Then I ran without mods again. No change. Still crashing after the first slide (well at least its STARTING!) At some point, I was just scrolling through the mods on Nexus... and installed the "better High Detail Map and Icons". Now I got a message instead of just closing! "program stopped working". And guess what: after I uninstalled the "Better High Detail Map and Icons - mod" the game launches and I can play!!! FINALLY!! I tried getting the "Better High Detail Map and Icons - mod" again, but this time I didn't change anything in the configuration-screen. Now the game works just fine!! It doesn't make the slightest sense to me, why installing and deinstalling the mod makes my game finally run properly, all of the sudden. But I'm happy it runs at least and hope someone can use this! (Still in the "growing-up section" ingame. I will report back after I leave the Vault! Wish me luck!)

Then I tried this solution: (add in CMD) icacls.exe "C:\Program Files\dotnet" /grant "*S-1-15-2-1:(oi)(ci)(rx)" icacls.exe "C:\Program Files\dotnet" /grant "*S-1-15-2-2:(oi)(ci)(rx)" Still the same errors. " - - What changed it for me, is starting cmd as Admin. Now the game starts, but running it through FOSE the game crashes after the first "Slide" appears when starting the game! " - -

  12. Yes I checked the .net. Its should be up to date. (when I search for .net on my PC it shows: "Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0.cmd
  13. Hello, dear Community. I could really need your help right now, because I'm at the end of my wits. I haven't had any problems with any games and Nexus for many years. But man, Fallout 3 just refuses to run with mods on my PC (Windows 10). Can't believe trying to run my favorite Fallout would cause so much headache, especially when GOG is supposed to sell games that run on modern systems! So, some days ago I installed Fallout 3 GOTY GOG-Edition on my Wifes PC (also Windows 10). After a littlebit of troubleshooting (changing the .exe and reinstalling all mods again) her Fallout 3 ran without any problems and Vortex works flawlessly. Now, when I try to run mine and Vortex it causes only errors. When I click on any mod in Vortex, I'm getting this error-message: https://imgur.com/a/8SFYvGK Of course I installed recommended "Desktop Net Runtime". Restarted the PC, but this error still persists.
