Giving Sten A Specialization
Bikerdruid replied to RyanFialcowitz's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
I still think if you created a GDA that changed the starting abilities and gave Sten his point at lvl 7 like everyone else it would be the easiest fix. But then again I'm the new guy here I may be barking mad on that one because it would be common sense and therefore probably won't work LOL. I have noticed this system isn't very easy to learn. -

How to change default armors for NPC's
Bikerdruid replied to auroranin's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Change the gear but also like with NBAIO the different meshes for different things. I want to play around with it and see what I can do but also if I design my own Armor knowing global Positions for different pieces would be very good. -

Giving Sten A Specialization
Bikerdruid replied to RyanFialcowitz's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
OK I may have found the Problem I'm not sure and it's because I just look at things in the Race Base 2DA Sten isn't in the same category as the rest of the Party. They are all Human Elven or Dwarven right and have Player race assigned 1 while Qunari have Player race assigned 0. I'm not sure if this helps or not but that is the only difference I have found so far. OK If I am correct and you should ask some one else or try this. Go to the AL_Sten.xls look at Starting abilities you need to create a GDA changing it to 22 abilities at the top and Adding the first Spec Talent in what ever group you want to give him....... Or just change one of the Talents in his tree if that is possible in the GDA. -

See I'm over 50 and my mother got sick back when I first found this site about a year ago and while I was taking care of her I downloaded a bunch of mods but never had the time to look at them. After she passed I lost interest but now I'm back at it and trying my hand so Hopefully I will learn... But you might check the .XLS sheets in the tools and see where that Specializtion is in the 2DA files then make a GDA that adds one for Sten just a thought -

No worries- I appreciate the help. There has to be some file that controls it- but the modding system is so unfriendly as to make it overly difficult to find, if this had been a Bethesda game I would have finished this mod hours ago. LOL Not me this is my first Game to mod ever -

However if you took the Mod that gave Sten 2 Spec points then you could probably take it apart and get an Idea of what you need to do though I would get permission for that. -

Also there is a Mod that allows you to manually add Points www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/347 It does much more than Spec points though... -

-% Fatigue Property Troubles
Bikerdruid replied to Aithlyra's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
OK I can help with that In the Toolset open your save find the Backpack in Savegame Partylist. then locate the item you want in the back pack easiest way is to equip the Item unequip and save then load that save in the toolset. Locate the last Item then go to Item_Properties -here you want to either add a new field and assign the fatigue Item property number or change an existing field. (Adding a new field requires adding one to all 4 "Item Property fields" ) Item_Property_Powers choose the power of the -fatigue you want corresponding to the Item property. If you added a new Item Property Item_Property_EffectID you need to add a new field and set it -1 the same thing must be done to Item_Property_VFXID add the new feild and set to -1 Make sure to add the feilds Identical to the previous ones. I Hope this helps.. -
Newb Question Probably!
Bikerdruid replied to Bikerdruid's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
I've given it some more thought, and upon further consideration, I will say that, at least in concept, it might be possible to expand the range of body models available, as DarthParametric did with his modder's resource adding new appearances for NPC children (Additional Clothing for Kids)... modders have also had some success adding new item categories (shortswords and armour types, for example), as well as expanding the limited range of some equipable types by duplicating the item categories. Whether it could be done in practice is, however, a question better answered by someone a lot smarter than me. :ermm: I will have to look into that Thank you -

Well Posting my efforts is a point that is no longer an Option In trying to post it I was asked if I had permission and hen I checked the source of the weapons design I found out I can't get permission so I had to stop the process.... But that's OK I would rather stop than be accused of pirating their work the earned the right to say NO... When they went to the trouble of creating the Mods for us... Revised he got back to me and I am in the Process of Posting them now LOL Not much but I am still Glad I was Able to make them in the Toolset. -

Landsmeet duel bug
Bikerdruid replied to dudi4155's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Troubleshooting
duddi4155 I don't know why but I am running the toolset in windows 10 and I didn't have to hack anything at all just installed per instructions off of you tube. I'm glad you have it working but some one out there has the fix I just haven't seen it in over a year. -
Firefly I have the toolset installed on Windows 10 I am trying to learn Gmax 1.2 and Blender both free I use Paintnet to retexture not good with the art part myself but recoloring and adding textures is a snap with paint.net. I am not a pro by any means I am a real newb learned what I know in the last month so you shouldn't have any problems I'm a "Dirty Old Texas Redneck Biker Geek" If I can learn it I'm sure you can.

Like I said Newb question but I do appreciate your time. I have made a few weapons and armor pieces in the toolset but I haven't posted anything because I am still not real sure how to make the ERF LOL. I have some erfpackers but no instructions for use or instlling located in my computer. Because I downloaded a bunch over a year agao right before my Mother got sick and I had to cvare for her... then nothing until about a month ago I think... -

Thanks tsm I waas just wondering thought about what would happen if you put all the mmh, msh, mao and .dds files in the actual character file but didn't want to break my Game LOL -
OK Look I've been playing for awhile now and been really enjoying playing with different mods.. What I really want to know now is whether or not there is a way to give y character a different body than the NPC's with NBAIO. I'm serious I want to play around and edit textures making my character look different without seeing every other Human Elf Or Dwarf appear the same LOL.
