  1. I remember having a mod that changed chaurus eggs so that when you looted the egg sac, the glowing spots would disappear leaving just the dull pile. I just assumed that it was SMIM but I have that installed and it doesn't seem to be the source, anyone have any idea which mod it might have been?
  2. Thank you, that made sure that everything works, you've taught me something new today. I have a few ideas about how to get around this for existing saves but we'll see I suppose.
  3. I am making a patch to clear up the messy basement in the Be A Farmer creation club plugin. Moving the temporary references around is fine, but no matter what I do I can't change the position of the persistent reference I am trying to edit. The item in question is the pantry where your earnings and produce are deposited from the running of the farm, so as such it is referenced by various scripts and quests. I have been able to change the model without any problem, but even though the position appears correct to my edited one in the creation kit, in game it remains in the original position. If there is no way to edit this reference, is there a way to hide it away and add another container that accesses the same inventory and receives the same items?
  4. Update: I think i'm making some sort of progress in understanding the problem. I didn't have 0 node selected when trying to apply the edit, doing that seemed to make the mesh move upwards in the display and zeroed the scale again as expected, which probably meant I did something. I also found something suggesting using the spells to update all tangent spaces and remove bogus nodes. These both probably did something as I received a notification that bogus nodes were removed, but any changes still were not visible in game. Perhaps the problem is I'm using Nifskope 2 version pre alpha 6, which might not have the required functionality, but all other available downloads were pre release versions too, except for 1.1.3 which wouldnt open the file. Still at a loss but maybe I'm learning something?
  5. That's okay, thank you for trying to help me. I'll keep fiddling but I hope someone knows what's up. It's probably something I did or something simple I'm overlooking.
  6. There's only one part there, and it's a BSSubIndexTriShape. The crazy part is one time I did see the 'apply' option but now it's not there for anything, this mesh, the ortiginal mesh, other meshes. I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do next. Edit: Here's what I'm dealing with. Without some way to apply changes anything I put in scale is just ignored by the game. http://i.imgur.com/9zFk1tD.png
  7. I've edited a mesh in nifskope to turn it into a standalone jacket in Faqllout 4, but I want to increase the size just slightly to easily fix some minor clipping. I right click it in nifskope and go to edit>scale, but after saving it's no bigger in game. Some guides I found while googling suggest you need to right click again and select apply, but when I do that there's no apply option where people say it should be, so I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do here. I've tried the process on the preedit mesh and even simple one branch meshes, but there's never any apply option. using nifskope 2.
  8. Lately I've been using this place as my characters house: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16766 It's pretty much perfect, good amount of storage, no god items, sensible layout, and awesome scripted containers to empty your inventory. Unfortunately it has completely spoiled me, and now I've started a new character I want a new place with a similar level of convenience. Anyone have any suggestions?
  9. I've spent the last couple of hours scouting around looking for the ideal place for the entrance of the interior cell I've been working on, having found it, I opened the corresponding Wilderness cell in the editor and renamed it. Shortly after, I found an even better place, but I can't seem to get the first cell back to being called 'wilderness' in order to give the second cell the correct name for the exterior of this place. If I have already saved over my .esp, am I completely screwed?
