  1. Just watched a movie today called "The Head Hunter". As soon as I saw the armor the guy was wearing, I knew someone here with an eye for detail would see this fit in Skyrim just fine. Considering how short the movie is, it's actually pretty good. Just search the title and images, you'll see what I mean.
  2. The folder doesn't have anything in it and will be deleted. Although the knowledge gained from pursuing your other suggestions would be worth the time invested, I'm not exactly young, so patience can be an issue. Later this year I'm upgrading to a SSD so I'll just deal with it then. After reinstalling FNV, I went ahead and did the 4gb patch and some of the mods that I knew worked and everything is running fine, so far. I was curious though, does Fallout 4 have the same issues with mods or is it more flexible now? I know it's supposed to be pretty "mod friendly" now, but things can always fall back to "business as usual" in a heartbeat. I've been waiting for funds for that and Witcher 3 GOTY but disability doesn't leave much room for "hobbies".
  3. So here is the response I get when trying to use the new folder "Selected drive already has a Steam library folder. Steam will manage multiple game installs in a folder for you." Changed the name of the folder to something other than Steam, same thing.
  4. So much for "hey, this game would look great with a few mods"! Well, I looked at the C:\Games folder and the folder I was trying to put there is there, so I changed the "permissions" and we'll see what happens. That "mod use advice" is one hell of a read!
  5. OK, I followed your instructions and the Steam instructions and neither one would let me make a new folder. It kept saying "drive is read only" . Another was basically a redirect to Steam Folder. So, for now, I'm reinstalling the game and using some mods that don't need NVSE. Had some working, but put in the 4gb patch, and things were still working until I put in "Mission Mojave Ultimate" mod. It killed all the ingame weapon mods. Tried to pull it but the damage was done, the game wouldn't load after that.
  6. Well, you learn something new everyday they say. I've cleared the mods and considering the time, I'll have to work on this in the morning, or I guess later today. Should be interesting.....
  7. The problem is this, the game runs vanilla fine, but after 800+ hours it's time for some mods. I have been using NMM for Skyrim, SSE, and Fallout 3 for a while now, and I use LOOT for keeping things in order. I have NVSE and 20 other mods for NV. When starting the NVSE loader, I get the message "cannot find FalloutNV.exe". After checking the game file through the usual path, I find FalloutNV.exe is just plain gone. I searched Local Disk with no luck. I have all this in a Steam acct. so I re-installed the game, with the same result. Is it possible to reacquire the file and, if so, how? I did check their forums and left a post, but I don't have much confidence there.
  8. I've a bit of a problem with Smithing. My smithing is maxed at 100 and all perks are filled, however, I can only craft steel, advanced and dragon items only. I played the game without mods first, then with mods, with the same results. Armor and weapon mods are fine, but not being able to make anything from Elven to Daedric is a bit of a killjoy. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  9. Is there a mod for changing the color of armor? I like to build characters based on people in the many fantasy novels I have read over the years. Chief among them is the Elric Saga. High Elves are great for Elric, except for the lack of albino features, (Dark Elves just don't feel right). My favorite race to use is the Bosmer and they are perfect for one of Elric's companions named Rakhir The Red Archer.
  10. Hello, first time posting here. I have a Steam acct. with 40+ mods in my file. After looking at the mods here, some of them are available at both places, some not. I've decided to start getting my mods here at Nexus. Is there a way to transfer those files to the NMM, or will I have to clear those files and start over here?
